You are right, making your first

start in English football at

Fleetwood Town. I will be interested

to see the tempo in the opening

minutes. We'll Fleetwood be in the

Leicester City faces? Leicester

still have pace and talent, despite

missing some players. But I think

Fleetwood will put Leicester under

pressure defensively. They have some

talent as well.

The referee, Simon

Hooper, took charge of Leicester's

League Cup home defeat by Shrewsbury

three years ago. Kevin Bolger, he

scored in the replay over Hereford

to bring them to this stage. The low

sun might be a problem for the

goalkeepers. Is this Devante Cole's

last game for this club? There has

been interest at the start of the

season from Sheffield United. I

guess they will be one of many clubs

back in for him. He and Amari'i Bell

are in the shop window.

Most

definitely. When you watch Devante

Cole, he makes the game that easy at

times. He looks to me like he's a

level above this. And Amari'i Bell

excites me as well at left-back.

Kevin was partially responsible for

taking him to Hull City. The big

man, having to wait this long period

after moving from Hartford the £2.3

million in the summer. Eldin

Jakupovic gets the nod ahead of

Kasper Schmeichel today. Fleetwood

Town get is kicked off an underway.

hands, distribution with his feet.

Impressed me when he came on trial

at Hull City of years ago. He did

well when he found himself in the

first team.

Barnes. Played 25 games on loan at

Barnsley. Second spell in the last

couple of years. His dad played at

Notts County, Harvey Barnes. He was

at Stoke, Yeovilton, Birmingham,

Doncaster. Played over 500 games.

Good Young player. His only previous

game was against Porto in the

Champions League.

It is about

development for him. This is a good

test for him, get more experience,

playing at first-team level.

good reaction from Jakupovic. He

knows he cannot take it with his

feet coming as to dive and keep it

I am very impressed with

Markus Schwabl, the way he has

started the game. Perhaps his

distribution has let him down once

or twice, but his breaking a play

has been excellent. They chose the

wrong option there. Hunter came

inside onto his right. Great

overlapping run from Bell. Could he

have played him in and created a

better opportunity?

Perhaps, yes.

have seen him, you likes to drop off

elusive to get near.

the shot, but lacked any power. Has

had a couple of efforts.

They say he is the

player with the most Jamie Vardy

like attitude at the club. He is

not know him but he is the vice

president of this club and very

well-known in this area. He is

poorly, in his 80s. Has done

everything here, used to make cups

of tea for everyone. I know he is

watching on today, so all the best

when Leicester City do have the

lot and it is about getting

organised and stopping Leicester

City playing through you. They are

doing that up to now and they will

put them under pressure defensively

and force errors.

Cole can run at

the Leicester defence. That is what

he loves to do.

Cole, to have a run. Sensible ball,

played it wide.

ball dropping over his shoulder.

had a run since coming to the left

great run from Gray. Initially

getting beyond Markus Schwabl. They

are being put under pressure

defensively. When Damari great picks

team that lost at Millwall last

season. Another cup upset. Young

talent is Damari Gray. This will be

awkward for the goalkeeper, peering

has started to get them up the pitch

a little bit. In the middle of the

decent counter.

with concussion. This is his 150th

game in his career, the Fleetwood

that is the first time we have

mentioned him.

The game has bypassed

him a bit. Largely because it has

been a direct approach from

Leicester City, trying to get Gray

into the match. It has been the

pressure they had put on in

midfield. Markus Schwabl has the

responsibility of a man marking

Adrien Silva. He has found it

difficult, Adrien Silva, to get into

it.

Daniel Amartey, needs games now

to get into Portugal's World Cup

squad. Big culture shock for him,

this. Signed 14 seconds late for the

transfer window. Well-publicised.

Very good pedigree, Aleksandar

Dragovic. Won five titles in six

years with his various clubs. That

came off Coyle. Not too sure the

assistant was in line to make that

decision.

Ben Chilwell, was

convinced it was a corner.

he didn't take it well enough.

It was

good organisation, they looked

excellent, Fleetwood are difficult

to break down and play too. They are

forcing Leicester to make sideways

passes when they get over the

halfway line.

The only time

Fleetwood have been at this stage,

changed ground. Aiming the

championship football and beyond.

They have never gone beyond this

stage. Bristol City beat them last

season in the replay. They were

beaten by Blackpool in 2012 at this

stage and Jamie Vardy scored a goal

and hasn't scored an FA Cup goal

since.

Bell, got ahead of himself with his

touch, but he is very athletic and

got forward well.

He does like to

get forward. Looking for combination

play with Ashley Hunter, ahead of

him.

not great there but good linkup play

play which will get them into night,

They've only lost two in nine trips,

They've not been greatly troubled

inside their own penalty area.

A fine piece of defending. Cole went

to ground and deflected it away for

a corner.

The initial cross coming

touch has let them down.

It's that

combination play. Dempsey is

stepping in from midfield but a

little one to with Cole who always

shows the difference between him and

his father. He will come short and

like to have linkup play and then

likes to swing in behind.

good ball forward by Benalouane.

Forcing errors. That's one thing

they've done well, Fleetwood,

putting pressure on Benalouane and

Dragovic.

Done well this season for

Claude Puel. David man a chance

today. Quietly spoken but very

astute. Decent player in his time --

gave this man a chance today. Took

Leon to the Champions League

semifinals. -- Lyon.

Good touch by Benalouane. Chilwell

takes it on a couple of strides.

Gray around the corner. King has had

a good game. Lots of energy,

typically for him. Silva.

Adrien Silva now really becoming

stronger in the game.

It was always

going to happen. Just feel his way

into the match. The tempo of this

game was always going to be

something he would find difficult to

start.

He wants the Portuguese cup three

times. -- he won. Dragovic. Schwabl

was there straight with the

pressure. Another corner by Dempsey.

Coyle kept it in. For me, the young

full-back was the stronger man.

The quality has not been great,

hazard, certainly from Leicester

City? The distribution from back to

front is not always been great. A

lot of those passes, diagonal balls,

overhit. When Boro came to Fleetwood

commie promised a high pressing

game, heavy metal football.

Seems to be a byword, that phrase

for managers at the moment. Foul for

Leicester.

In the last ten minutes of the first

half, there will be at least 30

seconds of stoppage time.

Gray to bend it in. Hooked wide by

Harvey Barnes.

Half chance. Well

defended initially from Cole. A good

ball played in with pace from Gray,

half chance.

Why didn't Slimani make

any movement to challenge when that

ball came in?

That's the sort of

ball when it's played in with pace

commies looking to try to get any

sort of flick directed on target,

give the opposition goalkeeper

problem.

Many players take time to

settle. He has been here 16-17

months at Leicester. £29 million. 17

goals.

He's not lived up to it. No,

he's been inconsistent. He can

score. When you put crosses in at

times, his movement has been good.

He's just find it difficult to try

to dislodge Jamie Vardy, though,

because that's usually been the lone

striker 's role and he can't

dislodge him.

He won against

Huddersfield, which was very, very

important for them. Seven points

adrift now. I don't think they will

finish top four.

A big chance. You

are right.

He got there just in front of his

man.

A wee bit late.

He committed there,

Adrien Silva. Just a little bit too

slow, too much pace on the past.

Schwabl just got in ahead of him.

This will be a real blow for him,

having waited so long. Five minutes

against Huddersfield, starting

today,...

A really growing influence

in this game. He's a good player,

Adrien Silva.

I hope it's just a

Amartey.

Just a little bit too slow. Just

can't get ahead of Schwabl. I

worried whether he twisted as he

went down.

That's exactly what I was

thinking. If he twists, it's much

more severe than just an impact.

Nervous afternoon for Leicester City

fans, who have travelled up in phone

numbers. Wrapped up against the

cold. He's seen a few things in his

time at Leicester.

In it comes. Pond went forward. Good

ball in by Pond to there. A big

diagonal up towards Bolger.

He has filled in well at right back,

Amartey.

A slightly unsteady start

for him, the first few seconds of

the game, actually, but he has done

well since then, got forward when

necessary, as well.

Bell rushed it forward. Slimani in

behind. Bolger reacted quickly.

Slimani challenged.

Back onside

there, Slimani. Well dealt with by

Bolger at the end, but he was too

slow to react. Bolger and Pond

squeeze him. Clearly offside, the

decision.

In goes King to head it away.

Scuffed away by the Player of the

Year last year, Bolger. Cole has got

the free kick.

A good chance here

again for Bolger. Seven goals last

season. They expect him to be

getting around double figures again

this season with his ability. It

hasn't just quite happen for him

this season. 22 goals since joining

the club, Cole. In all competitions,

12. Away by Dragovic. Coyle got

right underneath it.

Sent off in

that tie at Chorley. Claude Puel

will have seen that game. A pensive

face. From the French man.

Great defending there.

He hesitated, didn't go to meet the

ball. Allowed to bounce after him.

Well anticipated by Ben Chilwell.

He's been a threat from a set piece.

The last three minutes of the half,

plus stoppage time. Dragovic is up

from the back. Pond and Cole given

the jobs of marking.

Interesting how

he does it. Bolger, the best header

of the ball, he just stays free in

the middle of the goal, right on the

six yard box. He has the

responsibility of doing what is

done. No marker responsibility at

all. Just go and concentrate and get

a clean had on it.

Their form here

this season recently has been poor,

Fleetwood. They have not won a

league game here since October.

Their cup wins have come away from

here. Chorley and Hereford in the

replay. The Yan Bingtao started the

season well. Said at the start of

September -- the Yan

the last couple of minutes of the

first half.

Slimani. Well defended by Pond. That

is not Premier League quality. A

chance to bring it down, hasn't he?

Not under pressure, at all.

It's

been a bit like, this half, scrappy

at times. Certainly plays into

Fleetwood's hands, the way Leicester

have gone it will bid to direct

times. -- a little bit too director

times. -- direct at times.

They used

to stage speedway here. Can you

remember that Fleetwood nights?

I

was not a fan no.

Do you remember

the Bristol Bulldogs? No? Just me

then.

Look at this pressure from

Fleetwood. Really intense, high up

the pitch. Coyle, can he get up the

pitch now? In the end, comfortable

enough but not a good clearance. A

touch on by Hunter. Dragovic saw it.

That could be dangerous if. Burns on

the counter.

It lacked a little bit

of experience there. He delayed that

pass. It's good pressure from Adrien

Silva recognising Bell was under

pressure. He's got to play quickly,

take no chances in that sort of

situation.

Two minutes of stoppage

time being played.

We got a corner out of it.

Putting

bands under pressure. Sedley was not

on target in the initial strike. Got

a little bit lucky winning the

corner -- Barnes.

Gray will take the

corner.

Slimani. A big claim by Slimani in

there. Now the header on by Burns,

looking for the counter. Gray had to

chase it and win it back for

Leicester.

Yes, I think it is Bell

that Slimani was claiming he hand

balled it. They have been dangerous

from the set pieces. Bell on the

floor. I'm not too sure it is a

penalty, though. Clearly no penalty,

that.

Not even with a shout, really,

was it? -- worth a shout, really,

was it?

He has looked uncomfortable with the

ball at his feet, not used it well,

Benalouane.

Half-time WHISTLE

No goals at half-time. Fleetwood

Town held in the Premier League

side. Burns with a couple of early

moves forward. A couple of efforts.

At the other end, Harvey Barnes with

a couple of efforts off target for

Leicester City. 0-0 at the break.

It is Fleetwood Town vs Leicester

City in the third round of the FA

Cup, goalless at half-time. I'm

joined by Mark Schwarzer and Alex

got of the pitch. We're going to

season other pictures while we sort

things out. Not the most inspiring

45 minutes, but if we are selling

the second half, they are still in

it, Fleetwood.

I think they have

held their own pretty well, couple

of minor scares for them, couple of

early opportunities, just the

finishing was not up to scratch at

the moment. And early shout

possibly, free kick for them in the

six yard box for Leicester for a

backpass which I'm sure we will

occur later on but I think, overall,

Fleetwood will be happy with their

performance.

We will go through

those incident in a moment but there

was not the fluidity you would

expect so do think that will be down

to the number of changes they've

made for this game?

Sometimes it's

hard to make connections when you

change so many players. Leicester

are great on the counterattack but

had no runners in behind, and you

have Slimani holding up the ball but

when you look at Gray being the only

player who can take somebody on, but

other than that they'd not really

troubled Fleetwood in behind.

Let's look at that incident you

mentioned. You said Fleetwood was

hardly hard done by. This was a

backpass from Dragovic which

should've been an indirect high-tech

-- free kick.

He clearly wants to

pass the ball back to the keeper.

Dragovic can only prevent the ball

from coming in the back of the net

and I'm sure he surprised himself

that was not given as a free kick.

It should have been an indirect free

kick to Fleetwood.

It would've been

interesting to see that they can so

close to the goal they did not get

that they can so close to the goal

they did not get the position. In

terms of what Fleetwood offered,

Alex, you were impressed with

Hunter. There have been a few

performances which you think, OK,

maybe go forward into the second

half, they could have some

opportunities in this game.

Schwabl

has done very well to break up play

and Leicester it hard to come

through the middle and had to go

round the outside, using Gray, but I

have been very impressed with his

play.

You mentioned Schwabl, a

German, six league games this

season. Schwabl has broken up quite

a bit of the fluidity you would

expect from Leicester. You think

he's the reason for them. Ashley

Hunter had a good first half.

Every

chance they had on goal pretty much

came through Hunter. The only thing

missing was that final extra quality

and product to test Leicester.

Finally, going back to Schwabl.

He

has been given a job to sit in front

of the defensive line and break up

play. Leicester have found it really

hard to. Their linkup play with

Slimani, he's done such a great job.

The key for him is, like Alex was

saying, sitting in front of the

Fleetwood backline defence, there's

a couple of times in the first half

where they thought, I'm going to sit

back, cover for my defenders and not

expose them.

We saw them taking out

Silva. How do you feel he has

embraced the game and played in that

first 45?

Jakupovic has done

anything do in the game. Nothing is

being to testing for him. Barnes is

a good young player, I've seen

before at Leicester, and Benalouane,

normal game for him to come into.

These used to playing against them

in opposition. The biggest player

who has struggled really is Silva,

he's not been on the ball too much.

He's been watching the ball go over

his head back and forth quite often

and it will be a game where he needs

the ball on the pitch and players to

support him. Every time he gets the

ball he has a couple of players

around him to dispossess him.

It can

be a culture shock.

Especially

coming to a ground like this. I'm

not making any excuses, but it's a

hard game for him to come into an

on, the Fleetwood players were

growing growing confidence and

Leicester will find it harder to get

because allegations are made about

what was said during this incident.

confirming that the referee was made

aware of an allegation during the

game and subsequently reported that

the FA which will now begin making

£600,000. We have been live on the

TV already, so it is money we

haven't budgeted for.

I know you

have big plans and ambitions, you

want to be a championship side,

where will you invest that money?

It

will go on infrastructure, the

capital expenditure things you are

not quite therewith, squad and bits

and pieces. It allows us to sit

back, think and invest it wisely.

is also a clause, if he does leave

Leicester, Fleetwood do quite well

out of that?

Yes, slightly better

than today's money. But we would

like to see that affected at some

point and it would be a lot of money

for Fleetwood Town.

A lot of

the same, continue with the momentum

and be more clinical when they get

opportunities.

First of all, I have to say,

we played very well today, and

everyone played maximum, and we were

digging deep and I think with a bit

more luck, the last minute, maybe we

could have won the game but I think

we are happy with a draw and we go

again the next game.

So you have a

to believe in yourselves you can

I think if we don't

believe in ourselves we won't go

there, so if we go to Leicester,

especially me, I want to win because

I otherwise will stay at home. I

think there was a chance. They are

favourites. We need a perfect day.

disappointment but I think in the

end it was a great performance.
