eight of Wimbledon. Lady 's quarterfinal day. What? Hang on a

minute. I'm a bit confused. Can be checked this? Are you sure? What day

is it again? Let's get this straight. It's the quarterfinals?

What? Are you sure? Tuesday, really? That's just weird. Saturday,

Sunday, Tuesday. Monday, Tuesday. So, Sharapova is playing. I get

that. Nadal? Nadal? Nadal? He's a bloke. So, men and women? Kvitova

and Federer? On ladies quarterfinal day? I am seeing women's

fourth-round matches. Men's fourth-round matches? And women's

quarterfinals? What? So, a long day. I'm ready if you are. I am in. It's

Wimbledon. Don't worry, sit back and relax. We have got it all covered. I

don't feel so good. I need to lie down. Don't worry, John McEnroe will

be back. Let's clear up the confusion. Because of the rain over

the past couple of days of competition, it caused all sorts of

problems for the tournament organisers, which means today we are

playing catch up so we do have men's and women's fourth-round matches

along with two ladies quarterfinals. We have a great line-up of tennis

including three former champions on Centre Court and Roger Federer,

seven times champion, on Court Number One. The crowds have arrived

here, many assembled on the Hill but the most important thing today is

the son has been shining. No sign of an umbrella so far. Plenty of tennis

to look forward to. We are in for a real treat. Rafael Nadal is a

two-time former champion here but he could find it tricky today facing

big serving teenager Nick Kyrgios, wild card enjoying a great Wimbledon

debut. Roger Federer has yet to drop serve at these championships. He has

a dominant record against Tommy Robredo but the Spaniard won their

most recent meeting last year. The French Open champion Maria Sharapova

has conceded fewer games than anyone in the draw. Across the net is

Angelique Kerber, a semifinalist two years ago. The draw has opened up

nicely for Petra Kvitova. She is aiming to book a place in the

Wimbledon semifinals for the third time. What a line-up we have and

this is a man at the moment, this is Nick Kyrgios, from Australia, 19,

saved match point against Richard Gasquet. His first match on Centre

Court against this man, the World War I, two-time champion, Rafael

Nadal. Plenty of experience. Novak Djokovic did the hard work yesterday

against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He will be back tomorrow to face Marin

Cilic. He's being watched by his coach, Boris Becker. All smiles for

Andy Murray. But lacked out there today. He got as much completed

yesterday on Centre Court and he will be playing record it off

tomorrow. So, relaxing day for him but plenty of tennis to enjoy. The

show courts got underway at 1pm and Maria Sharapova first up their match

against Angelique Kerber. Zahlavova Strycova has put out three

seeds en route to the fourth round. So, just before we go live, let's

update you with what's been happening so far. Of the French Open

through through to her first quarter final at Wimbledon, comfortably,

6-3, 6-0. And we now know she will face Sabine

Lisicki, the 19th seed, came through 6-4 in the third and final set. Last

year 's finalist is through to the quarterfinals. Those matches started

earlier today for the Roger Federer was honoured 1pm and is racing in

his match against Tommy Robredo for the beloved 's the grass, and

We are seeing the champion of ten years ago, Maria Sharapova up

against Angelique Kerber, 5-5. Nothing separating them. Let's join

it with Lindsay. COMMENTATOR: Maria Sharapova finally

broke back towards the tail end of this set. 30-30. Maria Sharapova yet

to drop a set but she came close. Against Sharapova, you can't make

balls in the corner there. A couple of backhands in the row. That is an

invitation for Sharapova to attack. This was the final and returned

serve and the reaction, I can't believe it. The sun is coming out

again. What do you remember of your day on Centre Court? The final

against Steffi Graf? I remember the match. I couldn't what with the

weather. LINDSAY DAVENPORT: It was dark and

cloudy throughout. It's a nice change for these players and now not

tie-breaker. It's so important for Kerber to stay

positive. We can see the German Fed cup captain. He had to race after

watching Sabine Lisicki win. Her German players are doing well.

This is what Sharapova has the ability to do. Continue to go for

the lines at the biggest stages of the match. Hasn't played their best

tennis in this first set, but still believes in these critical moments.

That's a shot which has worked regularly for Maria Sharapova but

come on that occasion, she struck the highest point of the net. Kerber

is right back in the breaker. 2-3. Just fantastic scrambling from

Kerber, who just refuses to give in and is moving around the baseline,

getting balls back into play that most players can't get back into

play against Sharapova. All square at the change of ends. So far, the

match living up to expectations. 6-6. 3-3 in the tie-break. Kerber is

ready for more. Maria hesitated with at return. She

was looking to get a forehand but then didn't hit through it and then

Kerber was able to turn the tables and get Sharapova moving.

Real tension out here now. Excellent tennis from both players. Keeping

this Centre Court crowd thoroughly entertained, less than a set.

The ball was called out by the umpire, in fact. Nervous moments for

the umpire to make sure she got this right, and she did.

She has missed! And lot of despair on the face of Maria Sharapova. A

look of despair. SUE BARKER: Maria Sharapova, the

overwhelming favourite to take the title but now with a real battle on

her hands on Centre Court. One set to Kerber full top this happened on

Court Number One. Roger Federer. Already 2-0 up against Tommy

Robredo. Stefan Edberg, his coach, thoroughly delighted. The match is

COMMENTATOR: What a start to today's play on Centre Court. A

surprising end to that tie-break with Sharapova, the back and letting

down on those final three points. One crosscourt error and then two up

the line. She has given herself a lot of work to have to do in this

match. You have to keep in mind that,

whoever wins this match, has to come back and played tomorrow against an

opponent who will have had today off, the bit more fresh and rested.

watching every turn of a tennis ball and stretch of the strings.

of Kerber. Sharapova are struggling with that

short, low, soft shot Kerber has given her occasionally. This one,

Sharapova not getting up into the court quick enough. She is expecting

the balls to come through the court and some of them aren't.

Just about the highest level of volleying from Maria Sharapova

during that rally. She was screaming her way through it. I imagine it's

only going to get louder as the tension rises for Sharapova. She is

now down a set. You can't call it a grunt. It's more of a growl with a

scream on the end. So, former champion fighting her way

back in. A lot of intensity in that first game of the second set, equal

to the levels we enjoyed at the tail end of the first. We will see if

this is a turning point for Sharapova to get momentum back.

Kerber had a game point after fending off a couple of break

points. And now Sharapova never had the lead in that first set until

6-5, and now she gets an early lead in the second set. We will see this

relaxes her to play a little bit better tennis early on.

Sharapova trailing by a set and Kerber at the moment has an answer

for everything. Kerber has had to cover so much ground. But she is

feeling confident. And she is so motivated. I loved how positive she

has stayed because there have been matches in the past when Kerber can

get quite negative and that has not happened yet. Sometimes, you

actually see her bottom lip stuck to tremble. She seems to be close to

tears but she is so up for this. When she served for the first set

and got broken, Kerber stayed remarkably positive. That helped to

win that first set -- that helped her -- and now she's feeling so

confident. It could be very tough for Sharapova

to win this. What was this that you were talking about, Sharapova not

coming to win a match here from a set down for ten years? I am trying

to triple check that right now. Last time she came back was ten years ago

here. Coming back to her chair for a change of racket I think. New balls

in play. Sharapova wanting to get a fresh racket. New balls and lighter,

they fly a bit faster through the air. Sharapova just wants a tighter

string to have more control. Sunglasses going on and off as the

sun drifts in and out. This is so like Sharapova. When most

players would be discouraged they were not able to get the break,

having numerous break points, Sharapova comes right back out

playing some great tennis. UMPIRE: Missed Sharapova is

rally, a bit of time with her forehand and played it safe.

Great mix of paces from Kerber. That is what makes playing her so tricky,

if she can lull you into a false sense of making balls on the court

and then she balls the trigger. It is very tough to then defend against

those hard, flat shots. The second serve is a weak link, she

pushed a little too hard and goes for it a little too much. That was

his fourth double fault. Ace down the centre. It was not the

quickest, 98 mph. Excellent. Location and slice.

With serve in this second set,. SUE BARKER: now Kerber is just three

games away from a place in the quarterfinal. We will be back with

elsewhere. A busy day at Wimbledon. Stan Wawrinka is up against

Feliciano Lopez. COMMENTATOR: Fascinating encounter

at the age of 17 in 2004. Comes into Wimbledon as the recent Roland

too much of the court open when she decided to go up the line. Look out

far outside the court she is an Sharapova able to get that forehand

off the court and out of the reach of Kerber.

try to rescue the point. No luck. She has been struggling with his

service game, let's see if that comprehensive hold helps.

play a left-hander to switch it over to the backhand.

huge break, this huge swing of momentum as well for Sharapova.

The ebb and flow of the motion between the two players has been

significant. Angelique Kerber, head down, distraught, having been

broken, she has a real fight on her hands now.

Kerber has not been to the net too often in this match. That is just

the seventh time. But she has moved forward and has been very

successful, winning five of those. That return has got to be placed

This forehand hit a beautifully very close to the baseline going away

from Sharapova. It opens up the court for the backend.

Again, that slice serve which tails away from Kerber is so hard for her

to defend against. She does not have a long reach on that backhand.

Sven is on his feet. The fightback continues. One hour and 34 minutes

on Centre Court. That was a strange shot. That left

the grass and makes a left-handed server skid even more. A couple of

times today, Maria Sharapova has not time to that one up the line

correctly. Good variation from Kerber, keeping

Sharapova guessing. Sharapova will have two server for

this second set at 5-4. -- she will have to serve for the second set at

5-4. A beautiful afternoon in south-west

London now. There it is, Centre Court, in its latest and greatest

incarnation. Moved here from its original location in 1922. It seems

action. It suffered a direct hit in an air raid in October 1940 at the

tail end of the Battle of Britain. Five bombs struck the site, one

scoring a direct hit on the roof of Centre Court, destroying more than

1000 seats. And, although the championship returned after the war

in 1946, it was never fully repaired until 1949.

successful in this match when she has moved forward. Not always the

most confident of Bali but she has come in on some great approaches so

That one, just to far-away. Sharapova's 20th forehand. Playing

well now. The longer this match goes, the more

you have to do is give a little favour to Eugenia Bouchard, who does

not have to play today. She got through her match yesterday and the

winner of this today will have to play her tomorrow. This has turned

out to be a very physical encounter. Concern for the Sharapova server. A

couple of words of encouragement on Centre Court. He's not far from

Great comeback there from Sharapova after getting broken. And these new

balls should speed up the game, which helps Sharapova. The balls

were becoming faster through the court, tougher to defend.

Great depth. It's also been a battle of the coaches, on their feet. No

matter who wins the point now, either coach is upon their feet are

trying to will on their student. Sharapova had an awful lot to do

now. If she is to remain on course to win the championship. Ten years

since she won it as a teenager in 2004. Kerber, 3-0. In front. In this

final set. What a surprise in last game from Sharapova, who just made

so many unforced errors to give an easy held back to Ivanovic.

but it has been very erratic. 34 unforced errors have not helped

That's a nice attacking return from Kerber. Sharapova getting

frustrated. With her serve. That is miles away. A massive mishit

from Maria Sharapova. Some huge points coming up. Just when you

thought Maria was going to get it, a comfortable hold,

Sharapova having to really find some extra power. Because Kerber has

almost everything covered. Still the momentum very much with

the German. 3-1 in front, final set. A seismic shift in fortunes needed

for Sharapova to come back and win this match.

What a point there from both players but Sharapova definitely increasing

the pace of shaft in that last rally. And beautiful forehand here.

Those are tough to control, those low slices. And Sharapova with one

of their best for of this match. -- her best forehands of this match.

Kerber right back in there. It is an ace. She hasn't gone the

wider much on that deuce side. What a time to pull out that serve will

stop base number five, offset by four double faults. She has served

well. -- base number five. Their incredible hitting from both

players. Kerber has really stood up to the challenge in this game. She

noticed a Sharapova was increasing the pace of her shots, their

intensity, and Kerber has matched her so far.

Sharapova's 44th winner. So far, it is not enough.

The volley getting their feet in Sharapova's box. She's

much more comfortable with the forehand volley than the backhand

volley and Kerber making a tactical mistake.

final set. Sharapova is going to have to produce the tennis of her

year to fight back into this one. Kerber loving every minute of it.

Serena Williams losing so far, the biggest upset on the ladies side,

but this would be a huge one. We had a lot of upsets last year but the

trend seems to be continuing on the women's side of the draw 2014.

Sharapova has not been quite as successful on the graph in the last

six or seven years. -- on the grass. The French Open champion, 4-1 down

in the final set. The winner of this to play Eugenie Bouchard of Canada.

And that exchange epitomises the way this match has been played.

There have not been many unforced errors from Kerber. That last

forehand, just the ninth of the match for the German.

Huge turn on that serve as it bounced off the turf.

She badly miss timed that, Sharapova.

Sharapova clearly still believes she can come back and win this. Kerber

has to hold her nerve. More importantly, hold her serve.

That is just it, how will the nerds holed up for Kerber down the stretch

in this final set? -- how will the nerves hold up.

Such a strange and full stereo from Sharapova. We have seen a few of

those in this final set. I wonder if it is fatigue, mental or physical,

from all the tennis she has played in the last few months.

Kerber is fired up here. Edging closer.

Just as she was ready to hit the ball, the ball was in the air and

Alison Hughes asked her to wait. Kerber taking a few extra seconds he

as she prepares to serve. The level from both of these players

has been incredibly high throughout. What a game this has been.

Not this time. Both of these players now have had two game points. Kerber

was up 40-15 serving. So much tension out here.

She has got it! Break point saved and now she is one game away.

What clutch forehands to end that game from Kerber. A deep one

cross-court and then saw the opening up the line and now Kerber on the

brink of one of her biggest victories of her career. Against

Maria Sharapova who tends to own Centre Court when she is out here.

Now, staring defeat in the face. Taking a long drink, Sharapova. She

has been working hard and it is a warm afternoon. She has had to cover

a lot of ground in this match. I really thought it would be Kerber,

the one doing most of the running. That is how well and effective the

ground stroke game of Kerber has been.

This game is now lasted more than eight minutes, the longest of the

match. What a comeback from Kerber, that

point. It's so tough to play, mentally, after you know you could

have been in the locker room already. Incredible fight here from

both these players. It just cannot get any better out

here right now. Match, number seven. For Angelique

Kerber. What theatre on Centre Court. Lucky

number seven. Match point number seven was the one which counted.

Angelique Kerber celebrating the biggest win of her career. Certainly

has to be one of the most matter, but you never question the heart and

the desire of this lady here, Maria Sharapova. Who, despite not saying

Eugenie Bouchard, who has had a day off today. She will be fresh for

She has come through this match against Maria Sharapova in three

sets. She is talking now with Phil Jones.

Possibly the match of the tournament so far and you have won it in

fantastic style. Give us your emotions. Unbelievable. It was a

tough match. We were playing on a high level and it was so close.

Every single set was so close, so I'm just happy that I won the match

against Maria. She is a great player for the she played so well on grass

and I was just concentrating into focusing on myself, so I'm happy to

be in the quarters now. You were in the semifinals a couple of years ago

but in Grand Slam since it's been the fourth round all the way. Was

that in your mind 20 caps taking those match points away from you?

Not really. I had it in my mind before the match the last few Grand

Slams I lost in the fourth round, but on this match, I was trying to

focus point by point. It was a great match. The people enjoyed it out

there. It was great to play on Centre Court. An amazing atmosphere

there. I just enjoyed the match right now. Tell me what was going

through your mind as you had all those match point? What gave you the

belief you were going to win it in the end? When I had three match

point in a row, I was just trying to focus on myself and I just said to

myself, leaving your game try to hit the ball. Just to be aggressive. I

tried and, at the end, it worked. I won a very close battle against

Maria. You have got Bouchard next. There's great potential for you to

go all the way, surely? Right now, I will focus on the next round against

Eugenie. It's a tough match. I lost against her in Paris, so I will try

to focus on myself, like today, they aggressive, play my game, enjoy the

match, enjoy every single moment here. Congratulations. Thank you.

hours 37 minutes of outstanding tennis. How she held her nerve,

seven match point, and finally putting out Maria Sharapova. Serena

Williams is also out of this championship. It's up for grabs. New

names are emerging at Wimbledon. That's the reaction from the family.

A big, big story here at Wimbledon on the ladies quarterfinal stage.

Still a lot of work to do for Angelique Kerber, but this is a

match she will never forget. Talking of Lady quarterfinal, first of those

That is what everyone was hoping for at the start of the tournament.

Kyrgios. It was good stuff. Yes, good stuff. Sharapova down, serving

to stay in the match, plays three great points, even for score, back

and forth, and Djokovic company stayed in there after having three

points -- Kerber stayed on after having three match points. Who is

this guy? Good to see you, man. We thought we would put him in the

middle. That was a good effort. That was one to watch. You can't give up.

Maria, you can't fault her. Angelique Kerber held her nerve,

didn't she? She was about ready to go. I almost feel like F Sharapova

won that game she was going to the tournament. I have got to get the

credit, Kerber. She could easily have gone the other way but, seven

match point? Yes. I've never been able to do that. I want to do that

one time, especially against this guy. My days are over. We could

still work it out. Briefly, which match do you enjoy the match playing

this guy? Well, I played him and lost. They beat me one time here,

1984 in the finals. I had more fun watching him play than watching me

play for the day never missed the ball. His nose is growing. To be

honest with you, there's not many matches which are perfect. Every

shot works out. I had a couple of things, games like that. I like the

ones I won against them, also, no doubt. 1982. In the end, they even

out. The grinder was the best part of it all for the bat was the most

fun. The players are coming. Nick Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal.

I think everyone has taken a break after that ladies match. Not a huge

crowd here but they will take their seats for this one. What a

difference in experience. This reminds me of 1977 when I played

this guy. I had never been on Centre Court before. I was 18 years old.

This guy was number one. Here are refused to acknowledge me in the

locker room. That is far-fetched. That helped him to win. Most of the

first set, I was shaking. The experience of being on Centre Court

playing someone so great, and I know Kyrgios has got to be feeling some

major butterflies right now. The last time a player ranked outside

the world 100 was back in 1992. That's a difficult it is. He has

been so impressive, privilege, coming through against which a gas

case saving nine match points. He has got guts, shows no fear. He has

got a great opportunity and is letting it all hang out. I like

seeing that. To feel if he belongs right away, and it is going to break

in, he will break in quick. There's no greater stage to do it than right

here. He is a new name for at Wimbledon, so let's find out more

about him. I'm still a bit overwhelmed. I never

thought I was going to be in the fourth round. It's an extraordinary

feeling and I surprise myself everyday. You have shown immense

reserves of stamina. And the first to admit I've got to get stronger

and fitter. I'm always working on that. I've played more than three

sets every match here and I'm doing well, I think. We read it came close

to having a basketball career. How close was tennis losing you to

basketball? Very close. At 14, I was more into basketball than tennis. My

parents pushed me towards tennis. Basketball is always my passion. It

wasn't a bad choice, making the fourth round of Wimbledon in my 19th

year, an extraordinary achievement. Australian tennis is going through a

transitional phase. Are you aware of the history of guys like Lleyton

Hewitt had and created and now people are looking to you to take it

up? Definitely. I was thinking about that, thinking what he has done for

Australian tennis. Such a good role model. Yeah, Todd Woodbridge, Pat

Rafter. It's hard to go past the amount of times they won the

doubles. It inspires you and hopefully the young guys can push

through together. I had described him as having the X

Factor on court and off court. A great serve, great forehand, won the

junior juggles -- doubles twice. He has just got a really good game.

It's great he thinks I can do something special in the sport. It's

a bit of pressure but motivation to keep working hard, you know. Rafa

Nadal next. How do you overcome that? Rafa is the best competitor of

all time. I'm just going to go out there and play my game, serve well.

Play aggressive. I can't do much more than that.

SUE BARKER: In a press conference a was asked, can you win it? He said,

yes. We have 14 Grand Slam titles between us. He has got a good sense

of humour. I remember going out and I'm happy they didn't have the IBM

rankings in the games of our day. I would look up and see 102, 104.

That's a good second serve nowadays, right? 102. Exactly. He has got the

big game, the big forehand. It's just whether he can get it out on

the Centre Court or get intimidated. It might take a few

games to get into it but the problem is, if it takes a few games, it

means Rafa is on top of the right away, and he started slowing the

tournament so far but I don't expect that to happen here. You know he

will move up a gear as the tournament goes on. The court dries

out a bit suits his game better. He is a who relies on death and which

is why he goes from winning the French Open each year and then

winning matches for supper he could bring some firepower. He has had the

toughest draw of the top guys, no doubt about it. Stress has been

about his camp for the entire tournament, so he will be happy if

this guy was overwhelmed by the situation. Rafa had some tough

opponents, but at least it looks like he is injury free. He doesn't

seem to be struggling. I don't think he minds that have opponents anyway.

That is his game, to play hard and give it everything he has, whether

it is a one-hour match or a five-hour match. I don't think he

minds that but, you are right, especially you, he's had his

struggles. To be able to come in and let it all go, and to play freely

like he does on clay, and get the feeling of the grass, it's important

for him. It's not as difficult to come from the French to Wimbledon as

it used to be. But, for him... The surface back then was different. But

for Rafa to come in, he won the surface back then was different. But

French and ninth time, unbelievable. This is important for him to win

here. He wants to keep this going. This is important for him to win

Sampras. The best part for him is his serve. It's making life easy for

him as a matches have gone on. He has served better and better which

is what he will need in the second week. You have been in the

experience Mick Watson as a qualifier. -- Nick. You almost feel

like you are trying to qualifier. -- Nick. You almost feel

respectable. It is amazing what he did with Richard Gasquet. Rafael

Nadal. A different thing. He has got these Australian fans called the

fanatics. He feeds off their energy. That's something he tries to do,

relax with the fans. I can only see four of them. Not too many. He also

has 15,000 people here who want is a great tennis, too. They know he is

young and fresh coming into this match. They will want to see him do

well and perform on this stage. Nadal, they know what to expect.

Always eager to see him. As the new kid on the block coming in,

sometimes the fans look forward to that. It's lovely to see you

together. I will see you on the practice court and a couple of

days. I have got one racket left. That's all we need. Thank you very

much. We are already. They are singing, the fanatics. We are ready

for this match. You are standing on the threshold of

a crossgenerational encounter and it is full of interest. Nick Kyrgios

has stormed this tournament to book his place in the fourth round

against a man who has seen it and done it all.

Nadal in position. Kyrgios gathering his thoughts and taking a slug of

water. Nadal, as ever, incessant emotion behind the baseline. Such a

familiar pre-match routine for him. How tall are you? I am six foot

nine. Do you have a big serve? He probably hope they start calling

warnings on them just so he can get out of this routine. He wins so

much, he's got to keep doing the same thing. A rapturous round of

applause for both players. Now in position for this opening game. The

men's fourth-round singles competition. Kyrgios to serve.

A couple more of those will settle his nerves.

He's going to need more than a couple of serves, but nice to see

him take the lead here. His first service game.

I believe that was a second serve. 118.

I think that second serve shows a lot about the character of Kyrgios.

Only his third point on Centre Court against the best player in the

world. He's not going to be intimidated out here. He is going to

go out there and go for his shots. He has had issues with the

conditions. A young guy growing into his body, cramping down under. He

has had his time off with some injury issues. It's given them an

opportunity to train, to get himself in better shape. And that has helped

him. The biggest Sage of Kyrgios's career. -- stage. No sign of nerves

at the moment. The longest rally of the match so

far, just seven strokes. The ball being hit punching Lee hard,

particular by Kyrgios. He gets a quick taste of the Nadal

spin. It is hard to crack it as hard as he is trying to now. Neither

player able to make an impression on the service game.

That was his biggest serve of the tournament so far.

Another impressive hold of serve from Kyrgios. He will now serve

after the intermission. Look at his service motion, it is

pretty simple, good use of his legs. It is loose but when you are tight,

usually, you just want to go big. It is not as easy to be precise

usually, you just want to go big. It initially so I suspect, although he

has been through two service games, Nadal will force him to find that

wide serve because he clearly favours the one up the middle. He

will undoubtedly do that. Five aces in his first two service games on

Centre Court, pretty impressive start. Nadal wants to get this guy

some rallies, try to break him down and get his feel and rhythm. That

It is only about half to two thirds filled up right now.

Good to see how the forehand sets things up for Rafa Nadal. He is so

good at pulling that ball up to the line, particularly inside out, he

has to be ready for Kyrgios, a cause that is what -- that is what opened

up the court for that two hander. Kyrgios is just 19. Imagine when he

really gets strong... Kyrgios came out in headphones. As

though he was trying to cook whom himself in the environment, just

stay with his own thoughts, in his own zone, but he is acquitting

himself on the Centre Court stage very well. He does not really have

any big match experience, playing in a Grand Slam against the likes of

Federer, Djokovic, Andy Murray. But he spent a

amount of time practising with someone of his calibre, can perhaps

help him a little bit to understand the level of play that is required

and he has, three service games so far. Proving to be a very quick

round but then there is another challenger in Nottingham, a couple

of weeks in a row, where he had a qualifying, and he won eight matches

you want to upset that guy. beyond the baseline and coming out

on top. It is amazing, he does not look the

least it wound up, the Australian. The Fanatics are fired up early.

They cannot believe they are seeing this guy take it to Nadal.

What a boost for him, to get this early break.

That was awfully close. He had that one lined up, he could taste the
