Tourists have unofficially been leaving their mark here for years.

0:00:050:00:09

But now, in a bid to protect the Great Wall of China,

0:00:090:00:12

visitors are actually being encouraged

0:00:120:00:14

to get creative with a spray can.

0:00:140:00:16

On this week's programme,

0:00:400:00:42

I'm exploring China's most famous landmark.

And Tommy's camping out in Global Gadgets.

0:00:580:01:01

Hello and welcome to The Travel Show, coming to you this week from Beijing.

0:01:070:01:12

Well, as you might have guessed,

0:01:120:01:14

we're on the Great Wall of China and, each year,

0:01:140:01:16

thousands of tourists come here to see one of the wonders of the world.

0:01:160:01:20

But not all visitors are respectful and many have left their mark.

0:01:200:01:25

So now, the Chinese government is actually letting tourists

0:01:250:01:28

graffiti their ancient wall in a bid to stop more widespread scrawlings.

0:01:280:01:33

But will it work?

0:01:330:01:35

It's a breathtaking site.

0:01:390:01:41

An historic wall stretching as far as the eye can see.

0:01:410:01:45

It spans almost 9,000km from the east to the west of China.

0:01:460:01:52

Built over more than 2,000 years,

0:01:520:01:54

construction first began around 220 BC

0:01:540:01:57

and continued up until the Ming Dynasty,

0:01:570:02:00

when the Wall became known as the world's largest military structure.

0:02:000:02:05

It was key to protecting agriculture

0:02:050:02:07

and resisting the cavalry of the Huns

0:02:070:02:10

and other warrior tribes from the north.

0:02:100:02:12

Today, The Great Wall is recognised as one of the most impressive

0:02:120:02:16

architectural feats in history and is known as

0:02:160:02:19

the most common emblem of China for the western world.

0:02:190:02:23

But look closely and you will see that the Wall

0:02:230:02:26

is under attack again from visiting vandals.

0:02:260:02:30

These bricks here are 600 years old,

0:02:300:02:35

and I think the bricks...

0:02:350:02:37

Because they are the smallest building blocks

0:02:370:02:40

of this mega monument, they are very significant.

0:02:400:02:44

So it's fingerprinted with the Great Wall's construction history.

0:02:440:02:49

And for someone to come along here and whip out a magic marker,

0:02:490:02:54

or a knife, and carve their name on, is a terrible loss.

0:02:540:02:58

The Chinese government has adopted

0:02:590:03:01

a "if-you-can't-beat-them-join-them" type of approach.

0:03:010:03:05

Here at tower number 14, tourists have been given free rein to graffiti

0:03:050:03:09

the walls in the hope that it will stop other areas being defaced.

0:03:090:03:13

The Chinese tradition of writing messages on bricks,

0:03:150:03:19

rocks and trees is almost as old as the wall itself.

0:03:190:03:22

The technique was used by scholars in the Han Dynasty in 206 BC.

0:03:220:03:26

But modern-day graffiti is relatively new and China's first dedicated

0:03:280:03:34

shop opened in here in Beijing's hip 798 Art District just two years ago.

0:03:340:03:39

Graffiti in China is very young.

0:03:420:03:46

I start graffiti from 2005, and the more graffiti on the street now.

0:03:460:03:52

But it is very hard painting in China

0:03:520:03:54

because the cans a little... A little bit expensive.

0:03:540:03:59

While China's authorities have been known to censor other forms of art,

0:04:010:04:05

they've largely turned a blind eye to graffiti on the streets

0:04:050:04:09

as long as it's not on government buildings.

0:04:090:04:12

Streetwise artists know to toe the line.

0:04:120:04:15

And although some touch on sensitive issues like inflation

0:04:150:04:18

and pollution, they avoid direct censure of the government.

0:04:180:04:22

But for the most part, inspiration is drawn from American hip-hop culture.

0:04:220:04:27

A local graffer will usually leave his tag -

0:04:280:04:31

a shortened version of their name - in English,

0:04:310:04:34

like Andy is teaching me now.

0:04:340:04:36

-I've never used a spray can like this before.

-It's OK.

0:04:370:04:40

I feel so devious. SHE LAUGHS

0:04:420:04:45

'So now I'm ready to write my name on the Great Wall of China.'

0:04:480:04:52

So I think the spray can is a bit overkill.

0:04:560:04:58

I probably would have been better with a felt-tip pen, but here goes.

0:04:580:05:02

'Well, I've certainly left my mark, but what do other tourists

0:05:060:05:10

'think of this dedicated graffiti zone?'

0:05:100:05:12

-I think it's fantastic.

-Why?

0:05:120:05:15

Because it's beautiful to leave your mark on someplace special that

0:05:150:05:19

you can maybe even take down and put somewhere in a museum or something,

0:05:190:05:24

but never to desecrate the wall.

0:05:240:05:26

-TRANSLATED FROM CHINESE:

-This is a way to let everybody

0:05:260:05:29

communicate with each other.

0:05:290:05:31

Both foreign and domestic tourists can write on these walls

0:05:310:05:35

and they can speak with each other.

0:05:350:05:37

William Lindesay was the first foreigner

0:05:390:05:41

to walk the entire length of the Great Wall

0:05:410:05:44

and conservation of this site has become a passion.

0:05:440:05:47

I think it's very ugly and I know...

0:05:470:05:50

I actually escort many people to the Great Wall,

0:05:500:05:54

and on the way out on the bus they tell me for often a lifetime

0:05:540:05:59

they've wanted to visit the Great Wall of China.

0:05:590:06:02

It's right up there with the pyramids, the Taj Mahal,

0:06:020:06:06

Petra, the Colosseum - all of these wonderful historical sites.

0:06:060:06:11

And you just think, they come up here,

0:06:110:06:14

they ascend the wall, they see this beautiful view.

0:06:140:06:18

And it's not just a wall - there are towers, yeah?

0:06:180:06:21

And the first tower they go into has white walls,

0:06:210:06:26

and it's covered in graffiti and, quite frankly,

0:06:260:06:28

it reminds me of the lavatories in a railway station in Britain.

0:06:280:06:33

You go to one of the great museums, the British Museum or the Met,

0:06:330:06:36

and...

0:06:360:06:38

..you step inside and it's just a complete let-down.

0:06:390:06:42

'I don't dare tell him

0:06:420:06:44

'that I'm responsible for the purple monstrosity over my shoulder.'

0:06:440:06:48

The Chinese government is monitoring the project and, if it's a success,

0:06:490:06:53

they plan to open more graffiti zones.

0:06:530:06:56

Well, if you are thinking of heading here to Beijing,

0:06:590:07:02

here are some Travel Show tips to help you plan your trip.

0:07:020:07:05

Visitors to China will require a visa.

0:07:060:07:09

But if you are planning on being in the country for less than three days,

0:07:090:07:13

you may be exempt.

0:07:130:07:15

The visa waiver covers citizens from 51 countries,

0:07:150:07:19

but make sure you check the rules before you travel,

0:07:190:07:22

as a 72-hour exemption can only be obtained at certain airports.

0:07:220:07:27

If you want to live like a local in Beijing,

0:07:270:07:30

you'll have to forgo a lie-in.

0:07:300:07:32

The city's parks are liveliest before 9am,

0:07:320:07:35

with locals practising t'ai chi and line dancing.

0:07:350:07:39

On a Sunday morning you will find groups of locals

0:07:390:07:41

gathered in the city's parks belting out traditional songs.

0:07:410:07:45

Food and sharing food is at the heart of Chinese culture.

0:07:450:07:49

Huddle around a hotpot to get a taste

0:07:490:07:52

of Beijing's sociable dining ritual.

0:07:520:07:54

You will be given thinly sliced pieces of lamb, noodles

0:07:540:07:57

and lettuce to drop into your communal bowl of simmering stock.

0:07:570:08:02

Let the pieces cook for a couple of minutes,

0:08:020:08:04

then fish it out with your chopsticks and dip into sesame sauce.

0:08:040:08:08

Next up, the first in an animated series

0:08:100:08:13

where you share your best travel tales with us.

0:08:130:08:16

This true story comes from Darren Brent in Reading.

0:08:160:08:19

It was 1988 and we were four 21-year-old blokes

0:08:190:08:22

from Reading, England, off on a classic month-long adventure

0:08:220:08:26

around the USA. The soft top was down,

0:08:260:08:28

the wind was in our hair, the sunshine was blazing.

0:08:280:08:30

We thought we were the bees' knees.

0:08:300:08:32

Not being familiar with the wide-open American Southwest,

0:08:320:08:34

we quickly found ourselves driving blindly

0:08:340:08:37

somewhere between Las Vegas and Monument Valley, Utah,

0:08:370:08:40

not a city, town, village, or even a shack in sight,

0:08:400:08:43

and darkness was setting in.

0:08:430:08:45

After about seven hours of solid driving,

0:08:450:08:47

a flickering light appeared in the distance.

0:08:470:08:49

It was a small classic American-style bar.

0:08:490:08:53

Country and western music, colourful locals - the perfect pit stop

0:08:530:08:56

for starving, thirsty English blokes.

0:08:560:08:58

After polishing off a mountain of fries

0:08:580:09:01

and a couple of crates of the local beer,

0:09:010:09:03

we asked the barman where we could sleep for the night.

0:09:030:09:06

There's nothing round here for miles,

0:09:060:09:07

but you're welcome to camp out back for nothing if you like.

0:09:070:09:10

When they finally got round to turning off the lights,

0:09:120:09:15

we fell off the bar and hauled the tent out of the boot.

0:09:150:09:18

It was eerie, and the wind sounded like a hurricane

0:09:180:09:20

to our English ears, whistling and howling loudly,

0:09:200:09:24

and a high-pitched squeak and flapping sound

0:09:240:09:27

which we assumed were bats.

0:09:270:09:28

We staggered all over the place searching for rocks,

0:09:300:09:33

or anything really to help bang the tent pegs in.

0:09:330:09:35

We were walking bigger and bigger circles. It was pitch black.

0:09:350:09:38

I couldn't even see my hands.

0:09:380:09:40

Eventually we gave up. Two of us just crawled into

0:09:400:09:42

the two-man tent and let the canvas collapse on top of us.

0:09:420:09:45

The other two slept in the car.

0:09:450:09:47

When morning broke, Gary and I awoke

0:09:470:09:50

to Jono and Raef laughing uncontrollably outside our tent.

0:09:500:09:53

About 20 yards away was a sheer 500-foot drop

0:09:550:09:59

to what looked like the start of the Grand Canon.

0:09:590:10:02

There were no fences, no barriers, nothing -

0:10:020:10:04

just a load of our footprints from the previous night

0:10:040:10:06

as we'd staggered towards the edge and back again.

0:10:060:10:09

We'd been so close to the edge it was terrifying.

0:10:090:10:11

When the drinks started to wear off, we all agreed sheepishly

0:10:110:10:14

that we'd been very lucky and we should try to find a proper campsite

0:10:140:10:18

for the rest of the trip. In hindsight it was a ridiculous idea.

0:10:180:10:21

Camp behind a bar?

0:10:210:10:23

At the same time, given the combination of sheer exhaustion

0:10:230:10:26

and inebriation, it sounded like the best idea in the world.

0:10:260:10:29

After all, we'd come on this trip wanting to experience

0:10:290:10:32

everything America had to offer, and that certainly included

0:10:320:10:35

camping in the American Southwest.

0:10:350:10:37

The President of the Tourist Council in Thailand

0:10:430:10:46

has expressed concerns about the impact of a curfew

0:10:460:10:49

that was put in place after the military seized power last week.

0:10:490:10:53

Since the army took control of the country, locals and tourists

0:10:530:10:56

have been banned from going outside at certain times during the night.

0:10:560:11:00

If you're planning a trip, the Tourism Authority of Thailand

0:11:000:11:03

says it will provide the latest information on their website.

0:11:030:11:06

You should also check that your travel insurance covers you

0:11:060:11:10

during periods of martial law.

0:11:100:11:12

Two major travel companies have announced that they will no longer

0:11:120:11:15

be including elephant rides as part of their tours.

0:11:150:11:19

STA Travel and Intrepid Travel said separately

0:11:190:11:22

that they were responding to concerns about animal welfare.

0:11:220:11:26

Tourists wanting to get up close

0:11:260:11:28

to these incredible mammals need not fear.

0:11:280:11:30

The companies have said that they will work instead

0:11:300:11:33

with elephant sanctuaries and rehabilitation centres.

0:11:330:11:36

A campaign group in Qatar is encouraging visitors

0:11:360:11:39

and foreign residents to cover up

0:11:390:11:42

and respect their culture of modest clothing.

0:11:420:11:45

The Reflect Your Respect campaign will hand out leaflets

0:11:450:11:48

ahead of Ramadan, asking both men and women to cover themselves

0:11:480:11:52

from shoulder to knee. The leaflets also specify

0:11:520:11:55

that leggings "are not pants".

0:11:550:11:57

The campaign is not officially endorsed by the state of Qatar

0:11:570:12:00

although the country's tourist board does advise

0:12:000:12:03

that visitors should dress modestly.

0:12:030:12:05

Tourism Ireland is hoping to see an increase in visitors

0:12:050:12:08

after two of the US's biggest names

0:12:080:12:11

chose the Emerald Isle as their honeymoon destination.

0:12:110:12:15

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband Kanye West

0:12:150:12:19

are said to have chosen a castle in Cork

0:12:190:12:22

for their romantic getaway.

0:12:220:12:23

The Irish tourist board responded by welcoming the couple on Twitter

0:12:230:12:27

and posting a promotional video.

0:12:270:12:30

We believe that she is in the castle as we speak!

0:12:300:12:33

We're like, "Oh, my God!"

0:12:330:12:35

Great for the village.

0:12:350:12:38

They might be having coffee up there.

0:12:380:12:40

They could go up to Leahy's Farm, which is very nice.

0:12:400:12:43

They can go down to Trabolgan.

0:12:430:12:45

They can go for a swim in Ballycotton!

0:12:450:12:48

And there's a new attraction in Hungary -

0:12:480:12:50

the world's tallest toy brick tower.

0:12:500:12:53

Standing at almost 35m high outside St Stephen's Basilica in Budapest,

0:12:530:12:58

this Lego tower climbed into the record books

0:12:580:13:01

with the help of local primary school children.

0:13:010:13:03

The tower was topped with a Rubik's Cube,

0:13:030:13:05

which was invented by Hungarian sculptor Erno Rubik.

0:13:050:13:08

Still to come on this week's Travel Show...

0:13:120:13:15

I'll take you for a stroll under the water in the oceans of Borneo.

0:13:170:13:22

This week, I'm in the Great British outdoors

0:13:400:13:42

to bring you some eco-friendly gadgets

0:13:420:13:45

that might just add a little bit of home comfort

0:13:450:13:47

to your camping experience.

0:13:470:13:48

First up, have you ever been out and about

0:13:480:13:50

and needed to charge your mobile phone,

0:13:500:13:53

and at the same time had an overwhelming desire for a hot snack?

0:13:530:13:56

I know it sounds crazy, but with this contraption you can do both.

0:13:560:14:01

The Biolite CampStove burns kindling

0:14:010:14:03

and leftover wood to generate thermoelectric power

0:14:030:14:07

that can then be used to charge your devices.

0:14:070:14:09

Let's get cooking! Right, first up,

0:14:090:14:11

you stick in the twigs into the bottom,

0:14:110:14:14

and then you've got to turn the fan on at the side.

0:14:140:14:16

And what the fan does is allow air to circulate around the bottom

0:14:160:14:20

of the twigs, which will then help fan your flames.

0:14:200:14:23

You plug your USB cable into the side and then,

0:14:230:14:25

when there's enough heat stored up,

0:14:250:14:27

the phone will start powering.

0:14:270:14:29

As a stove, it works perfectly.

0:14:290:14:31

It's warmed my beans up, it's portable and it's lightweight.

0:14:310:14:34

But in terms of using that thermo energy to charge up

0:14:340:14:38

my mobile phone, we found it to be a little bit inconsistent.

0:14:380:14:41

Now it might not look like it right now, with my baked beans,

0:14:410:14:44

but I am a man who lives a wild and dangerous lifestyle.

0:14:440:14:48

Yeah, I'm a man on the go.

0:14:480:14:49

And when I need my caffeine hit, I need my caffeine hit!

0:14:490:14:53

I don't care whether there's not a kettle around for miles...

0:14:530:14:56

I'll find a way.

0:14:560:14:58

This might look like a rocket, but it's actually a Solar Kettle.

0:14:580:15:01

Now, it does take a while to get going.

0:15:010:15:04

The temperature now is just coming up to 90 degrees,

0:15:040:15:07

which is good, but we've had it open

0:15:070:15:08

for a good two, two and a half hours,

0:15:080:15:10

which is a long time to wait for a cup of tea or coffee.

0:15:100:15:13

But perhaps you are at a festival which doesn't allow campfires,

0:15:130:15:17

then having this nearby is a good way of knowing

0:15:170:15:20

that a hot cuppa isn't far away.

0:15:200:15:23

Right, it's a good thing that I got that solar power energy when

0:15:240:15:27

I needed it because, in true British fashion, it's started to rain.

0:15:270:15:31

But that won't stop me having my coffee.

0:15:310:15:34

I will have a double espresso and I'm going to use this to make it.

0:15:340:15:39

The Handpresso uses the pressure generated from the in-built

0:15:390:15:43

hand pump to filter your coffee.

0:15:430:15:45

You can use ground coffee or espresso pods in the device.

0:15:450:15:48

First things first, I need to pump it up.

0:15:480:15:51

The gauge in the front will show me when I've generated enough pressure.

0:15:510:15:55

Then all I do is pop in a coffee pod and some hot water.

0:15:550:15:58

And here goes. We should have hot coffee.

0:15:590:16:02

Hey!

0:16:020:16:04

All that pressure is what's pushing the coffee out.

0:16:040:16:07

Oh, look at that.

0:16:070:16:08

This is dead simple to use and it's a great way of being able to take

0:16:080:16:13

your favourite brand of coffee with you wherever you are in the world.

0:16:130:16:16

Yeah, there are other types of mobile espresso makers,

0:16:160:16:19

and some of them run off of gas canisters

0:16:190:16:22

so you don't have to pump them up, but this?

0:16:220:16:25

This runs on good old-fashioned elbow grease

0:16:250:16:27

and me being the manly type that I am, that's absolutely fine by me.

0:16:270:16:31

Cheers!

0:16:310:16:32

No camp trip or visit to the outdoors would be complete

0:16:320:16:35

without setting up base overnight.

0:16:350:16:38

And who needs all these fancy tents?

0:16:380:16:40

I'm going to survive using the clothes on my back.

0:16:400:16:43

I mean, literally, this.

0:16:430:16:45

The Jakpak is a waterproof jacket that has an integrated tent,

0:16:460:16:50

mosquito net and sleeping bag.

0:16:500:16:52

OK, so it is a little bit fiddly to get into,

0:17:050:17:07

and there is no padding between me

0:17:070:17:09

and the ground, so you feel every bump.

0:17:090:17:12

But with this, there's no danger of losing your tent

0:17:120:17:16

if you're at a festival,

0:17:160:17:17

or if you are mad One Direction fan and you're camping

0:17:170:17:19

outside their hotel, just to get a little glimpse of the boys,

0:17:190:17:22

then you could make use of something like this.

0:17:220:17:25

And I've heard that Harry

0:17:250:17:26

and the lads are staying quite close to this campsite,

0:17:260:17:29

so I'll just wait here for them.

0:17:290:17:30

# You don't know you're beautiful

0:17:300:17:32

# Oh-oh

0:17:320:17:34

# That's what makes you beautiful. #

0:17:340:17:36

Next, we catch up with Henry,

0:17:400:17:42

who's exploring one of Borneo's marine national parks.

0:17:420:17:46

Summer in Malaysia is synonymous

0:17:480:17:50

with some of the greatest diving in the world -

0:17:500:17:52

take, for instance, the islands of Sipadan, Kapalai and Mabul -

0:17:520:17:56

but what happens if you're not a qualified diver?

0:17:560:17:59

What can you do? You've got the options of snorkelling

0:17:590:18:02

and perhaps free diving, but there's limits to that.

0:18:020:18:04

How can you get as close to the sea life as possible without

0:18:040:18:08

being a scuba diver?

0:18:080:18:09

Well, I've come here to find out.

0:18:090:18:11

Hi.

0:18:130:18:14

'At the end of 2013, there was

0:18:140:18:17

well over 22 million licensed divers in the world,

0:18:170:18:20

making the underwater tourism industry a huge draw to

0:18:200:18:24

places with naturally beautiful marine ecosystems such as Subba.

0:18:240:18:28

People fly from all over the world to see these waters,

0:18:290:18:32

to experience life under the sea.

0:18:320:18:35

Very close to Kota Kinabalu city is Tunku Ahdu Raman Marine Park.

0:18:350:18:39

There's about five islands and the one we're heading to is called Sabi.

0:18:390:18:43

-Hi.

-Hello.

-You're Henry, right?

-Yes.

0:18:480:18:51

-Hi, I'm Lionel.

-Hi, Lionel.

0:18:510:18:53

OK. Henry, I believe that you are doing sea walking.

0:18:530:18:55

Yes, I really want to do it. It looks so cool.

0:18:550:18:57

Before you start your sea walking...

0:18:570:18:59

OK, let me introduce you to marine life,

0:18:590:19:01

so you get an idea later on what you're going to do.

0:19:010:19:03

-That sounds good.

-OK, good?

-Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-Let's go.

0:19:030:19:07

All right, Henry, this is the observatory room here.

0:19:090:19:11

-Look at that. It's like being in a submarine.

-Mini submarine.

0:19:110:19:16

The reason that why we build this one here to get to know...

0:19:160:19:19

-I mean, some people, they don't know about marine life.

-Yeah.

0:19:190:19:23

So we want to get connected to them.

0:19:230:19:26

So this is almost like a classroom.

0:19:260:19:28

Yes, it's part of to educate people as well.

0:19:280:19:31

-This is the sea walking area.

-Look at that.

0:19:310:19:33

You can see the helmet here.

0:19:330:19:35

They look like astronaut helmets.

0:19:350:19:37

So this what I'm going to be putting over my head?

0:19:370:19:39

Yes, this is the helmet that you are going to use later on.

0:19:390:19:42

-They look really heavy.

-OK, this helmet weighs 20kg.

0:19:420:19:46

-20kg?

-Yes.

0:19:460:19:48

Will I not sink to the bottom of the ocean with that?

0:19:480:19:50

-Underwater you will be lighter. You will be buoyant.

-OK.

0:19:500:19:54

Finally, it comes the time to brave these funny-looking contraptions,

0:19:540:19:58

as Lionel leads me down to the sea walking platform.

0:19:580:20:02

Whoa!

0:20:040:20:05

Oh, my God, that is heavy.

0:20:050:20:07

That is super heavy.

0:20:070:20:09

Oh, my gosh!

0:20:140:20:16

This is so weird.

0:20:160:20:18

This is so strange.

0:20:180:20:21

My ears are popping.

0:20:210:20:23

We're definitely below the ocean, and just looking up...

0:20:230:20:27

This is another world.

0:20:270:20:29

Oh, my gosh.

0:20:350:20:36

So what do I need to be careful of here?

0:20:360:20:40

First thing, you need to hold the rail.

0:20:400:20:43

Hold the rail and move slowly.

0:20:430:20:45

No swimming, no jumping, just sea walking.

0:20:450:20:50

So what happens if I get into trouble?

0:20:500:20:53

What's the safety procedures?

0:20:530:20:54

We have 70 divers.

0:20:540:20:56

We have two divers around here who come towards you.

0:20:560:20:59

And don't be panicked, just relax.

0:20:590:21:03

The diver will pull us absolutely going up.

0:21:030:21:06

Still they're pumping air for us inside for emergency breathing.

0:21:060:21:10

There's a constant supply of air being pumped into my helmet

0:21:150:21:18

to allow me to breathe normally.

0:21:180:21:20

With that I get about 15 minutes to experience

0:21:200:21:23

what it's really like to walk on the ocean floor.

0:21:230:21:26

Those are beautiful.

0:21:280:21:30

Look at these coral, right there.

0:21:300:21:32

Beautiful coral garden here,

0:21:320:21:34

and all of these fish are just swimming around.

0:21:340:21:38

There's one really close to my helmet.

0:21:380:21:40

# And they call it magic... #

0:21:410:21:44

Up top, this weighs an absolute ton.

0:21:440:21:48

But down here, actually, the buoyancy is pretty much dead on,

0:21:480:21:53

so it doesn't feel as though I'm holding anything over my head.

0:21:530:21:56

All I know is I've got a big bubble surrounding my entire skull here.

0:21:560:22:03

OK, so it's not quite the same thrill as having the freedom

0:22:080:22:11

to explore the reef on a dive,

0:22:110:22:13

but these crazy-looking helmets mean non-divers, or even non-swimmers,

0:22:130:22:17

can get a look at what lurks beneath the surface of the water.

0:22:170:22:21

Well, that's it for this week.

0:22:300:22:32

Join us next week, if you can, when...

0:22:320:22:33

Ade's in Rome looking at the eternal city's efforts to preserve

0:22:380:22:42

ancient monuments in a time of economic crisis.

0:22:420:22:45

Thanks to a huge cash injection,

0:22:480:22:51

the Trevi Fountain is looking as spectacular as ever,

0:22:510:22:54

but would have happened without the help from big business?

0:22:540:22:58

That's next week. But in the meantime, don't forget,

0:22:590:23:02

you can follow us on our travels online on our website

0:23:020:23:05

or on our social media feeds.

0:23:050:23:07

The details are on the screen now.

0:23:070:23:09

But in the meantime, from me, Carmen Roberts,

0:23:090:23:11

and the rest of the Travel Show team here in Beijing, it's goodbye.
