Hello. Good evening. I'm Dani Sinha. A 68`year`old man from Wiltshire has

appeared in court today charged with murdering his wife. Police were

called to a house in Durrington near Stonehenge on Good Friday, where

64`year`old Doreen Webb was discovered with serious injtries.

She died soon afterwards. Flowers have been left outside the property.

Her husband, retired Army officer Leonard Webb, appeared before

Chippenham Magistrates todax, where the case was adjourned until

Wednesday. A man has died after he was hit by a

car near Southampton. The 61`year`old pedestrian was struck by

the vehicle on Ringwood Road at Netley Marsh near Totton, on Sunday

night. He is thought to be from the Totton area. Hampshire Police said

the driver of the car wasn't injured and has not been arrested.

The energy firm Cuadrilla could carry out further exploration for

oil and gas in Balcombe, if West Sussex County Council approves new

plans. Last summer saw weeks of protests against the companx's

decision to test`drill for oil in the village, but planning consent

has since expired. West Sussex County Council will look at the

recommended proposals later this month.

An East Hampshire man has brought a war memorial to life by delving into

the backgrounds of those recorded there. John Hill has spent lore than

a year researching over 50 individuals whose names appdar on

the Grayshott War Memorial. He's presented his findings in a book.

Behind every name on this mdmorial there was a life, there is ` story.

And this is the man who's responsible for allowing each of

those stories to be told. They say there's a book in everyone, and

retired solicitor John Hill felt this was his. It has been vdry much

a Labour of love. It has bedn hard work but absolutely fascinating

very interesting finding out the stories of these people who died, so

much so that I feel as if I know a lot of them personally now. We Will

Remember You delves into thd past of 51 men, spanning both world wars and

the Falklands Campaign. The last name in the book is Lieuten`nt

Commander David Balfour, Supply Officer on HMS Sheffield. Hd was on

the HMS Sheffield, in the F`lklands campaign. There were people 20

people who died when it was hit by an Exocet missile and his body has

never been recovered, and hd's now in a war grave at the bottol of the

South Atlantic. By bringing to life the memories of those names on the

stone, it's hoped the book will provide a more tangible memorial to

those men who made the ultilate sacrifice serving their country

Two men from Salisbury have been arrested after a large quantity of

illegally obtained fuel was found in an industrial storage unit near

Romsey. Hampshire Police were called to the scene at East Wellow on

Thursday after the discoverx was made by the property's owners. ``

West Wellow. It's thought the building is currently being let out.

The Environment Agency and Dsso have also been at the scene.

The final stages of work to replace rail tracks around Southampton are

taking place today. The track and points to the West of the station

are wearing out, mainly bec`use of the increasing freight traffic from

communication problems, but modern technology means all workers can

keep in touch. It is pretty easy. We are very used to Skype calls and we

have daily contact with the guys in Nairobi. Bosses believe thex are
