Good evening. 14 Celsius today in Plymouth. Over five inches of rain

in snow done ya, welcome to the British summer. There will be some

improvements this week, but we're left in a cool and showery air mass.

Those showers becoming fewer by the end of the week. But we're being

driven by this low pressure which brought the rain at the weekend.

Continuing with a northerly airflow, but the winds to the west and south

will be lighter tonight. Still a scattering of showers, the heaviest

in south west England and Wales and north-east Scotland. A lot of cloud

keeping temperatures around 11 degrees. A grey start to Tuesday,

particularly in the west. Some showers in Wales and the South West.

And through the day with some brightness in central and eastern

parts, the showers will shoot up, some of those will become heavy and

thundery. Damp in the far north of Scotland with showers to the east.

But South West Scotland, Northern Ireland, some dry and brighter

weather. Cloudy in north-west England, but drier than the first

few days in Wales the showers will ease. In the south-east you could

see some sunshine and some brightness in the southern counties.

The Midlands into southern England a few showers in the afternoon.

Light to moderate ones. From London northwards the showers will get

heavier and more frequent. From Lincolnshire to the north-east, and

into south-east Scotland, there could be some slow moving

torrential thunder storms and the risk of minor flooding. That rain

continues as we go into Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning we

see more wet weather in the South West. Some uncertainty how wet it

will with be. Heaviest of town pours in swers Scotland and

northern England. Away from that dry and brighter moments. But
