of us here on the late team have a Hugely contrasting weather

conditions across the UK this weekend with one common element,

this ribbon of cloud on the satellite picture. It will extend

to the south. To the east of it we will drag up hot and humid air. On

that weather front a band of cloud, rain fall amounts wane. There is a

Met Office amber warning for Wales and northern England. There is

potential for downpours in one or two spots. Heavier bursts to

western parts of Scotland. Dry weather too either side of that wet

zone and a warm night for all, particularly in the south-east

corner. Temperatures for many not dropping below 20 Celsius. With

temperatures like that it will be a hot day with hazy sunshine overhead.

To the west of that a lot of misty, grey low cloud across South West

England, Wales and northern England. A lot of dry weather. There are

hints the cloud will thin and break to allow the sunshine out. Mist

across Northern Ireland and Scotland will clear it allow sunny

spells. Cloud to western Scotland, one or two showers here. More

heavier showers developing across northern Scotland later. The

thicker cloud from the South West through to northern England will

thin. Most will be dry into the afternoon with brightness

developing. With sunny spells across northern and western areas

temperatures 22-23 degrees. South- east corner could get close to 30

Celsius, if not above it. This wave will develop, it will intensify the

rain as it works across the UK on Sunday. Sunday's wet weather will

be in the same areas we saw it today. A few showers but sunshine

in much of Scotland an Northern Ireland. Hazy sunshine away from
