Good evening. It was foggy across the Southeast this morning, scenes

of fog can be quite beautiful, atmospheric, but also troublesome.

This is the extent of the fog, and then the fog fizzled away, and we

had a beautiful sunny day. Tomorrow will be different. Tonight, the fog

will return, it will be confined to the southeastern portion of the

country, so most of us will not get it. The thinking is, just to the

north of London, these areas will get the fog. The north of the

country has a different story, rain and gusty winds. In the north-east

of Scotland, the gusts could be approaching 60 miles an hour. For

most of us, it is a trouble-free night. For tomorrow, a very

different picture. It is going to be a lot cloudier. In the South, lots

of the cloud. Despite the cloud and rain and drizzle, the temperatures

are around 13 degrees. Not much rain across the south-east. It will be

mainly cloudy. For the north, some rain around. Lots of cloud and bits

and pieces of rain in Scotland. Today, in Lerwick, 13 degrees, the

warmest December day ever, on record, for at least 100 years. The

weather fronts continue their journey into the British Isles. This

is Friday. Again, it is mild, with the southerly wind. Rain across the

western areas. As we head into Saturday, this beast swings in. It

is a nasty storm, which will bring some vicious winds to Northern

Ireland, Scotland and the North West of England. It looks as though the

worst wind will be to the very far north-west. The Southeast will have

a fine day, with sunshine. The weekend is turning quite stormy, but

for most of us, it is going to be not that bad,
