now. Good evening. There is some rain in

the forecast but not a lot. Plenty of dry weather to look forward to as

we head to the weekend. Cloud delivering some rain but plenty of

spaces in between, hence my optimism. One of these blobs of

cloud is producing dampness right now. We could see a glancing blow

across the far south-east through the early hours and later some rain

arriving across the far south-west. In between some hill fog overnight,

not desperately cold, for most a touch of frost across the northern

Glens of Scotland. At the other end of the UK some wet weather first

thing for breakfast, pushing through Devon and Cornwall into South Wales.

It won't hang around. Things will brighten up later in the day. Ahead

of that a lot of low cloud around, a rather grey start to the day. Only

slow improvements, not much sunshine. But it will be mild. The

odd shower pushing up through the Irish sea through parts of Northern

Ireland to south-west Scotland but most of Scotland will have a dry

start to the day. Chilly across the northern Glens, a touch of frost.

Here some of the best of the sunshine through the morning.

Meanwhile, this showery rain pushing up through parts of Wales and

southern England and the Midlands, eventually to northern Counties of

England, still thunder possible. Brightening up behind with late

sunshine for Wales and south-west England. Brightness too for Northern

Ireland. A mild one, ten or 11 will be typical. That feature clears off

to the North Sea. Low pressure moves across the far north of Scotland,

most of the action will be around that area of low pressure on

Thursday. Some blustery winds and a few showers rattling in across parts

of Scotland and Northern Ireland. The odd shower for northern England.

Further south on Thursday a quiet day. Areas of fog which should lift

to reveal sunshine and again with light winds it should feel

pleasantly mild. Into Friday, a little bump of high pressure across

the country, that usually means dry weather. The catch is we could see

scenes like this on Friday, fairly thick patches of fog. Hopefully that

will clear to reveal pleasant sunshine, especially across central

and eastern areas. It will cloud up further west later in the day with

patchy rain. For most on Friday it should be a nice day with

temperatures again doing pretty well. It
