Good evening. I think it's fair to say it's been a disappointment

August so far. We want blue sky, sunshine. We want what we had today

in Newquay and Cornwall, 25 Celsius, 77 Fahrenheit. Beautiful on the

beach. As opposed to what we had in Fermanagh. You can see by this

picture. The rain so heavy,ing off the roof of the car. In fact, that

heavy rain was accompanied by some pretty significant thunder and

lightning as well, which is continuing to drift its way steadily

north as we speak. It's moving into the Western Isles and we'll see some

heavy rain overnight tonight across the Western Isles and Scotland.

Accompanied by thunder for a time. Though the risk of thunder starts to

decay a little. Light and patchy elsewhere, through North West

England and North Wales. Look at these temperatures, another muggy

night right across the country, 14 to 17 degrees. We start off tomorrow

morning if you're up and off early enough pretty miserable weather

conditions out on the roads through Scotland. The rain heavy, pushing

through the spine of the country, drifting its way eastwards.

Improvement for Northern Ireland. Some early morning sunshine. The

showers will arrive a little later on. Some of that rain through the

Lake District pretty heavy. To the east of the Pennines, light and

patchy. Can you see from our weather front a band of cloud through east

Wales down towards Dorset and the Isle of Wight. To the east of that

sunny and warm. To the west a bit fresher. That weather front takes a

band of cloud across England and Wales, heavier rain through the

north-east of England and Eastern Scotland. Behind it, somewhat

fresher conditions, sunnier, yes. There will be a scattering of

showers, which will turn heavy later on into Northern Ireland. Certainly

a fresher feel the further west you are. We're looking at around 15 to

20 degrees. In the south-east, the front really not clearing through.

So mid-20s may be as high as 27 degrees, 80 Fahrenheit if we keep

lengthy spells of sunshine. But the front will gradually clear away,

except perhaps the Northern Isles through the night W esee showers

continuing -- night. We see showers continuing through Scotland. That

sets us up for Thursday. Persistent rain into the Northern Isles.

Elsewhere, sunny spells coming through. And highs perhaps of 17 to

22 degrees. As we move on into Friday, little change in the story

with some decent breaks and sunshine. Warmth, fairly

disappointing though into Northern Ireland. Want to know more about the
