Good evening. We are in the heart of the hurricane season in the US.

Following hot off the heels of Harvey is another significant

hurricane, Irma. It is expected to strengthen as she moves rather

rapidly in a north-westerly direction are the warmer waters.

Expected to make landfall sometime during Wednesday morning. This could

be a significant storm. Back closer to home we have seen a late taste of

summer. In the West Midlands we had highs of 24 Celsius. Sunshine was at

a premium. Quite a lot of cloud generally across the country. The

cloud beginning in the far north to bring some rain. Some of the heavy

for a time that is set to return during the night, moving across

Ireland and through the Scottish Borders. To the south of this quite

a humid night. To the north somewhat fresher conditions. As the rain goes

south you will see some sunshine and a scattering of light showers. The

rain. Of quite heavy. It drifts eastwards. The odd spot or two of

rain. In the south-east we could see highs of 21, 20 to. Sony fresher

with sunny spells and scattered showers following on behind. The

weather fronts push off into the North Sea overnight on Tuesday

bringing in fresh air across the country. We will see it cluster of

isobars. Ill be windy and breezy on Wednesday. After a fresh start a

quiet day with sunshine coming through. Not a bad day in prospect

on Thursday across England and Wales. More significant rain arrives

into Northern Ireland and Scotland. Some of it will turn heavy. This

area of low pressure will continue to drive cloud and rain across the

country on Friday. At some point there will be rain. Some of it quite

heavy for a time across England and Wales. Closer to the low. Driving in

on the north-westerly wind. Blustery and showery day on the North west

facing coasts. That will be the theme into the weekend.
