into double figures with southerly

winds arriving. Good evening. We

have made it to the end of the week.

What a week of whether it has been.

Significant disruption over large

parts of the UK. We have seen huge

amounts of snow. Near Cardiff X to

centimetres of snow on the ground

right now with plenty of other

places not too far behind. The

weekend marks the beginning of a

change. Things starting to turn

slowly left cold. Today has brought

some fresh snowfall. This band of

snow has pushed across the south and

is working across the Midlands and

into Northern Ireland. That is

tending to weaken and Brazil as it

drifts that the North during the

rest of tonight. -- and drizzle.

Down to the south-west this will

mostly be falling as rain, I

suspect, but that could bring its

own issues with ice. Mist and fog

patches as well with temperatures

dipping below freezing for that

there is a subtle change in the

weather set to take us into the

weekend. No pressure to the

south-west will be driving things.

Throughout the weekend we have had

strong easterly wind. Instead we are

bringing more of a southerly flow

across the British Isles will start

to tap into slightly less cold air.

Still some snow drifting across

England, Northern Ireland and into

southern Scotland during the day.

Snow showers in the North East.

Mostly rain pushing in the South

West with rain over the high ground

of Wales. This will mostly be rain

because of the rise in temperatures.

Elsewhere, many spots having another

chilly day. The heavy bursts of rain

will drift north tomorrow night.

Still snow on the higher grounds of

Wales and the North Midlands and the

Pennines and Peak districts. Still

some snow showers in the far

north-east and it looks like we will

see some heavy rain drifting up from

the south. Look at these

temperatures! Eight, nine in the

south, even further north feeling

that bit less cold was looking

further ahead into the start of next

week, double digit temperatures in

the south and even
