First tonight, a man's appeared in court today,

charged with seven sex offences against women in Derby.

It follows an extensive police appeal this week for public help,

in what they called their highest priority investigation.

James Roberson was at the court hearing earlier.

This is West Road, the scene of two of the alleged attacks. These

incidents received considerable publicity over the last three years

and last night, Derbyshire police announced they have charged a man

with seven offences. First thing this morning, a 23-year-old man,

Elijah Hai, from Derby, appeared at Derby magistrate Court. It is

alleging he attacked three women over a 15 month period. One charge

relates to an attack on a woman in September 2014 in this lien here in

Derby. The second incident relates to another woman a year later. There

are five separate charges in connection with that attack. The

last incident involves a third woman, that a legit attack happened

in December 2015, I came here in this part of town. Mr Harry was

remanded in custody and will appear at Derby Crown Court next month. In

a separate development, police have appealed for information about

another serious sexual assault last month in the still Lane area. Those

investigations are continuing. The bank account of a Leicester

charity's been frozen, while the Charity Commission

investigates its You might remember last year we told

you about the Bhaarat Welfare Trust. It was looking after donations

for a dedicated Hindu crematorium in Leicester,

but instead spent almost ?100,000 It should have been money for a new

crematorium for Hindus and Sikhs. ?96,000 was raised over the years by

which otherwise is not available at the moment. For example, the chapels

are a bit too small, the service plan is a bit too small. It is a

shame that this hasn't happened yet. The donations were handed over for

safe keeping to the Bhaarat Welfare Trust. When the time it came for the

money to be given back some years later, the charity said its trustees

had decided the crematorium project was no longer viable and so agreed

to divert the cash to its own project in India. The group was so

concerned they contacted the Charity commission in 2012. Its officials

were equally worried. The Charity commission found serious issues with

Bhaarat Welfare Trust when it first visited the charity in 2015. In

particular, it had concerns about the ability of its trustees to

account for funds transferred to India over a five-year period and

over how donations for the crematorium project were held. The

commission says the charity's response to its concerns have been

lacking. In a statement, Bhaarat Welfare Trust says it has and will

continue to cooperate with the Charity commission. It has given

them the information they requested. It is confident this information

will address the concerns. In the meantime, if bank account means the

Bhaarat Welfare Trust cannot make any payments without getting consent

from the Charity commission. The watchdog says while it cannot advise

donors, people should use their own judgment on whether or not they wish

to donate to the charity. A murder inquiry's underway

in Shepshed after a man Police were called to the Gelders

Hall industrial estate last night. It was reported a car had hit

a wall, but they found the driver's injuries weren't consistent

with a crash. A 22-year-old man from

Coalville has been arrested. A new garden based heritage project

has started in Nottingham. It's telling the story

of the allotments in St Ann's. They're not only grade two listed,

but also believed to be the oldest and largest of their kind in the UK,

if not the world. Behind every hedgerow, something

different. This 75 acre site in the heart of Nottingham is home to 600

allotments. Now it's incredible history and current diversity are

being celebrated. The team here has launched a range of vegetable seeds

from different time periods that this glorious green space has

witnessed. It is a celebration, the fact we are still here, that these

allotments were laid out in the 1840s. Almost 200 years. I want

Heritage Project also features plants. This is the nursery, the

behind the scenes area to the growing Heritage Project. Here we

have fruit trees being grown. There are roses and a variety of different

heritage flowers. This might look quite there right now, but by this

Rose shows in Victorian times and in the 1930s. There will be roses that

we knew were definitely grown here and that is great, to have that

provenance. It is a great way for people to take things home and get

their hands dirty and get involved and something that gives you a look

at the past. The Monument trust funded project has been one year in

the making and now they are seeing the fruits of their Labour.

And finally celebrations have been taking place around the world,

and across the East Midlands, to mark St Patrick's Day.

It would have been nice for this old is to get sunshine but am sure it

season and that is linked to the weather from working down from the

north-west. It is tending to ease a little bit, searching across

Leicestershire. I think we will continue to see a little bit of rain

across Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire overnight. Quite

murky conditions over there. The daytime temperature in Celsius. A

windy and blustery night and the wind will continue to be strong

through Saturday morning. It eases in the middle part of the day and

picks up through the afternoon. The cold might begin to allow some

drizzle. We could see a fair bit of practice round tomorrow. A daytime

temperature of 13 or 14 Celsius. More wet weather and windy
