First, a major police investigation is underway after violence flared

A fight involving around twenty people broke out

A car then struck three people, leaving one with serious injuries.

An eyewitness described it as terrifying.

Today, police were carrying out interviews after a hit and run

incident outside the Sugar Hut nightclub in Brentwood.

It happened around 3am this morning when officers were called

to a disturbance outside the venue following a fight which was

happening in the street, involving a group of around 20 people.

I don't really know what started the fighting.

The fight broke out which escalated to about 50

or 60 people at one time. Two or three people looked

as if they were quite badly hurt during that time.

I phoned the police and the ambulance.

I saw one guy that went down, it looked like he was unconscious

and got dragged off the street. There was another guy that

went down, he looked like he was quite seriously hurt.

He stayed down for quite some minutes until the

paramedics got there. Then the police arrived.

I was probably watching the fight for about 15 minutes.

Essex Police say two men and one woman were taken to hospital.

One with serious injuries after being struck by a blue Audi.

Their condition is believed not to be life-threatening.

Police are now appealing to anyone who witnessed or filmed the incident

on their mobiles to get in contact by calling 101.

Armed officers were called following an incident in Norwich just after

5:30pm to the Norwich Road area of rankings and spent a Norwich station

after reports of a man armed with a knife. In man in his late 40s has

been arrested and held for questioning on suspicion of

possessing an offensive weapon. A man has been charged

extremely rare. It is just one this species naturally that -- that

natural England want to protect. It goes beyond the plans, we're talking

about a sweet of insects and moths and little wasps. It is also dealing

with some of our birds here, the storm currently. This is the elusive

stone curlew, under threat for so many years. According to James the

summer boredom here that is much more to see. He believes that the

area is hugely underrated. People think of biodiversity in Norfolk and

immediately think of the broader the coast, but actually here in the

Bracks we have just as important wildlife right on our doorstep. Back

from the brink, designed to save species, but also to engage with the

public. They can join the fight to protect this unique landscape.
