That's all from the BBC News at Six - so it's goodbye from me - | :00:00. | :00:00.
Good evening and welcome to BBC Look North. | :00:00. | :00:00.
More officers are promised to deal with the growing number of criminals | :00:07. | :00:12.
I have committed to putting extra people into this arena and that is | :00:13. | :00:25.
already under way. I'm afraid we have heard all of this before. The | :00:26. | :00:27.
police are on notice now. A ghostly performance in a Hull | :00:28. | :00:30.
cemetery will go ahead On their way - Lincoln City's | :00:31. | :00:32.
players hit the road ahead of their biggest cup game in more | :00:33. | :00:36.
than a hundred years. Plans to scrap several district | :00:37. | :00:38.
councils suffer a blow The country's oldest | :00:39. | :00:40.
professional clown looks to make And a mild and largely dry weekend | :00:41. | :01:00.
to come, I am back with all the details. | :01:01. | :01:09.
The new Chief Constable of Lincolnshire Police says | :01:10. | :01:11.
the force "will be doing more" to tackle hare coursers and the | :01:12. | :01:13.
Bill Skelly promised to commit more officers to policing the problems. | :01:14. | :01:19.
People in some parts of the county say they've been threatened | :01:20. | :01:22.
and intimidated by criminal gangs who travel to the area | :01:23. | :01:24.
This report by our Rural Correspondent, Linsey Smith, | :01:25. | :01:32.
features pictures some may find upsetting. | :01:33. | :01:39.
The sheer numbers show the strength of feeling here today, | :01:40. | :01:43.
Angry at what they say is a woeful lack of policing in the countryside. | :01:44. | :01:55.
Their problems often come from hare coursers. | :01:56. | :01:58.
People who illegally hunt hares with dogs and cause havoc | :01:59. | :02:02.
Especially if residents challenge them about the damage they cause. | :02:03. | :02:09.
I have been threatened personally to be killed, | :02:10. | :02:11.
my family killed, my property destroyed, burned down. | :02:12. | :02:13.
The meeting today was a chance to air concerns | :02:14. | :02:20.
to Lincolnshire Police's new Chief Constable. | :02:21. | :02:22.
I have committed to putting extra people into this arena | :02:23. | :02:25.
There's no doubt that in the recent past the issue has changed | :02:26. | :02:30.
We are seeing a higher level of organisation and the harm | :02:31. | :02:37.
I feel that definitely Lincolnshire Police will | :02:38. | :02:41.
has currently in order to try and address these issues. | :02:42. | :02:48.
Such honesty was welcomed, particularly by those who have been | :02:49. | :02:50.
They can use a mobile phone app toward each other of gangs | :02:51. | :03:05.
approaching the property. He will certainly look | :03:06. | :03:06.
at the issue and see what can be done to | :03:07. | :03:08.
improve the standard of living for all of us | :03:09. | :03:10.
who suffer from these gangs | :03:11. | :03:12.
on a daily basis. We put our point across very | :03:13. | :03:14.
strongly, politely but strongly, I'm afraid we have | :03:15. | :03:16.
heard most of what we The police are noticing now, | :03:17. | :03:21.
it is good the Chief It is a change from last year, you | :03:22. | :03:33.
now have multiple groups of vehicles, ten, 15, 20, 20 watching | :03:34. | :03:40.
and ten or 20 here crossing and it is about money. It is huge amount of | :03:41. | :03:42.
money involved. The Chief Constable said | :03:43. | :03:43.
they won't irradicate hare coursing and the associated crimes | :03:44. | :03:46.
but he said he'll meet residents again here in three months' time | :03:47. | :03:48.
to talk through a detailed plan of how they'll | :03:49. | :03:51.
bring the levels down. And if you are in ruling can sure we | :03:52. | :04:03.
will be asking for your views on shortly. | :04:04. | :04:04.
How significant was the commitment from the new Chief Constable | :04:05. | :04:08.
The last time BBC Look North interviewed the former | :04:09. | :04:14.
Chief Constable just over a month ago, one of his main points | :04:15. | :04:17.
was that farmers needed to help themselves more. | :04:18. | :04:19.
Bill Skelly, the new Chief who I met today, has come | :04:20. | :04:22.
He also said, that the crime of hunting with dogs has | :04:23. | :04:31.
With social media it's becoming more organised, | :04:32. | :04:34.
that means more money is bet on hunts and therefore, | :04:35. | :04:36.
the participants will more violently defend their meetings. | :04:37. | :04:43.
Because of this 'change, he admits that Lincolnshire Police | :04:44. | :04:45.
need to change the way they police it. | :04:46. | :04:49.
But, with his big words come a big responsibility to deliver them. | :04:50. | :04:53.
And the hundreds of farmers who turned out | :04:54. | :04:56.
to that meeting today, will be watching, and waiting, | :04:57. | :04:58.
Do you welcome the words | :04:59. | :05:04.
Will this go far enough to tackle the problems of rural crime? | :05:05. | :05:09.
If you live in a rural area and have had experience of hare coursers | :05:10. | :05:13.
or any other crimes let us know your thoughts tonight. | :05:14. | :05:19.
Does the new Chief Constable instilled confidence? | :05:20. | :05:31.
An aerial performance in a Hull cemetery will go ahead in May | :05:32. | :05:34.
as part of the City of Culture events despite an unprecedented | :05:35. | :05:36.
level of opposition to the plans from viewers to this programme. | :05:37. | :05:41.
The production which involves performers dressed as ghosts | :05:42. | :05:43.
and acrobats in the trees above the graves provoked some | :05:44. | :05:46.
very strong comments from those who got in touch | :05:47. | :05:48.
The performance will "violate people's graves" it's | :05:49. | :05:58.
"dreadfully disrespectful" and it's "insensitive" . | :05:59. | :06:01.
Those are typical of the strong sentiments expressed last night - | :06:02. | :06:04.
In a moment we'll hear from the Friends of the General Cemetery | :06:05. | :06:09.
But first Caroline Bilton reports on the latest developments | :06:10. | :06:12.
Tickets sold out within hours of them going on sale but this event | :06:13. | :06:20.
while clearly supported by some has left others reeling. | :06:21. | :06:28.
They are performing what is tantamount to a circus act and to me | :06:29. | :06:36.
The news that Hull's general cemetary is to be transformed | :06:37. | :06:39.
into a performance space in May by a circus company lead to an huge | :06:40. | :06:43.
Dozens got in touch to tell us they supported the event | :06:44. | :06:47.
'absolutely outraged at this so-called circus being held | :06:48. | :06:54.
What about all the people that are going to be treading over | :06:55. | :06:59.
all the old graves.' Frances emailed to say its: | :07:00. | :07:01.
'Hardly fitting for a City of Culture when we do not even | :07:02. | :07:04.
This could so easily be held in any of the Hull Parks.' | :07:05. | :07:12.
And Trish emailed: 'I have relatives buried in that cemetery | :07:13. | :07:15.
and there is no way that ANYTHING like this can possibly | :07:16. | :07:17.
It is like dancing on someone's grave.' | :07:18. | :07:21.
Organisers say there's been an element | :07:22. | :07:22.
of mis-understanding, audiences will not be allowed | :07:23. | :07:24.
to walk over graves, they'll be guided through | :07:25. | :07:26.
the performance on the already marked out pathways. | :07:27. | :07:31.
And its hoped that it could benefit this | :07:32. | :07:33.
cemetery in the long run, there's certainly little respect | :07:34. | :07:35.
shown by dog walkers at the moment, the whole area is overgrown, | :07:36. | :07:38.
litter is strewn everywhere, before the performance takes place | :07:39. | :07:40.
What is this respectful is the fact that people don't look after this | :07:41. | :07:54.
place, we have had this sudden upsurge in animosity towards the | :07:55. | :07:58.
city of culture and the performance that is going to take place in May. | :07:59. | :08:02.
What I would like to see some of the people who have been making that | :08:03. | :08:07.
noise, low when we organise and we do, regular opportunities to clean | :08:08. | :08:10.
the place up and help us get rid tipping and keep it as an urban | :08:11. | :08:15.
woodland which is what it is these days. A woodlands into the state | :08:16. | :08:18.
regardless of opposition. Lots of comments and thank you for | :08:19. | :08:24.
them all. Earlier I spoke Councillor Marjorie | :08:25. | :08:27.
Brabazon from the Friends of General Cemetery and asked her | :08:28. | :08:29.
why she welcomed the performance. It is the city of culture, it is a | :08:30. | :08:46.
very beautiful performance, but I have seen of it, and the feedback we | :08:47. | :08:51.
have had from people who have seen it is... Why is it OK to have an | :08:52. | :08:56.
entertainment show where people are lying and rest? It is not an | :08:57. | :09:00.
entertainment show... Says. It is not. They are using this piece very | :09:01. | :09:06.
respectfully. It is a beautiful aerial dance. We have seen the | :09:07. | :09:12.
pictures are people are very unhappy. What do you say to these | :09:13. | :09:17.
people. Gloria said it is an appalling bad taste. Reset it is | :09:18. | :09:20.
this respectful to the dead. William it is disgusting. Some people are | :09:21. | :09:25.
not happy but some people are looking forward to it and you can | :09:26. | :09:30.
tell that by the point that all the tickets have been sold. There is no | :09:31. | :09:35.
way that I would, if I felt that it was going to be disrespectful to | :09:36. | :09:41.
people that are buried in there, it has not been a burial ground for | :09:42. | :09:45.
over 40 years. And what is disrespectful is when people | :09:46. | :09:51.
fighting items in the and let the dogs foul on the graves. That is | :09:52. | :09:57.
this respectful. You're right, a lot of people are happy because they | :09:58. | :10:03.
have written. Martin's so will those who are mourning the thinking | :10:04. | :10:06.
differently when the shows up and running and they can see how it is? | :10:07. | :10:11.
I think they will. I think people complaining probably won't want to | :10:12. | :10:14.
go, which is fine, not everything that we have for the city of culture | :10:15. | :10:21.
is going to be meeting everyone's tastes. This one certainly hasn't. | :10:22. | :10:26.
Is it a blunder by the party brigade? I don't think it is. It has | :10:27. | :10:33.
been done elsewhere, in London. They did not have a lot of complaints, | :10:34. | :10:37.
and there were a lot of positive comments if you go in the website | :10:38. | :10:40.
and work. A lot of positive comments. You will always get people | :10:41. | :10:44.
who you will not be able to please. We expect that. That is human | :10:45. | :10:51.
nature. Very good to see you. Have you got a ticket to the event? I | :10:52. | :10:57.
haven't, I was hoping to go and see it but apparently all the tickets | :10:58. | :11:04.
have been sold. Thank you. The subject of the performance in the | :11:05. | :11:07.
cemetery. Lincolnshire Police say the driver | :11:08. | :11:10.
of a car who was in a crash with an ambulance four weeks | :11:11. | :11:13.
ago has died. Five people were injured | :11:14. | :11:15.
in the incident at Waddington in January, when the ambulance | :11:16. | :11:17.
was responding to an emergency call. Police say the driver | :11:18. | :11:20.
who died wasn't taken to hospital at the time, | :11:21. | :11:21.
but was admitted to A post mortem examination | :11:22. | :11:25.
will to try determine whether the death is linked | :11:26. | :11:29.
to the collision. The train company Transpennine | :11:30. | :11:35.
express is to run a later train It's hoped the 10.30 | :11:36. | :11:38.
service to Brough, Selby, Leeds and Manchester will allow | :11:39. | :11:44.
people to stay longer in the city at night, | :11:45. | :11:46.
especially during City It is 20 minutes to seven, thank you | :11:47. | :11:59.
for watching this Friday. Still ahead on the programme, hoping to | :12:00. | :12:03.
pull off another shock Lincoln city prepare to face Premier League | :12:04. | :12:07.
opponents in the FA Cup. And the father and son clown team hoping to | :12:08. | :12:10.
get a laugh on the east Coast. Snowdrops in Keelby | :12:11. | :12:19.
from Susie Sunshine. Thank you very much indeed for that | :12:20. | :12:25.
one. I know you weren't happy after last | :12:26. | :12:38.
night, but we will gloss over it. I have a suggestion because this has | :12:39. | :12:42.
gone on sale today. This is the Peter Reeve a James Bond dress at | :12:43. | :12:50.
just ?30. Will you be buying one? Will you wear the leggings? | :12:51. | :12:55.
Probably not! Fashion advice from the man who says I wear pyjamas and | :12:56. | :13:00.
he is wearing, let's look at that shirt. | :13:01. | :13:04.
I got punished, let's have a forecast! | :13:05. | :13:09.
The weekend doesn't look too bad, a lot of dry weather but I think there | :13:10. | :13:13.
will be quite a lot of cloud around and it will feel mild. The mostly | :13:14. | :13:17.
dry weekend with a lot of mild weather so most of the rain will be | :13:18. | :13:21.
overnight Saturday to Sunday. It is mild because a lot of areas coming | :13:22. | :13:25.
up from the south-west, actually from the US, it is being dragged on | :13:26. | :13:28.
the jet stream and will get even milder as we head into Monday. | :13:29. | :13:32.
Potentially in one or two spots on our part of the world because gets | :13:33. | :13:36.
to 17 degrees. Today there has been some sunshine around, some breaks in | :13:37. | :13:41.
the cloud but I think of there will be thicker cloud at times which | :13:42. | :13:44.
could produce a few pockets of light rain and drizzle on and off to the | :13:45. | :13:49.
night. The reigning clavicle, Colbert the average temperature is | :13:50. | :13:52.
getting down to around six or 7 degrees. -- the average temperature | :13:53. | :14:00.
getting down. The sun will rise of quarter past seven and set at 517 | :14:01. | :14:04.
and the high water time and Cleethorpes will be at ten past ten. | :14:05. | :14:11.
-- quarter to ten. Even though we keep a lot of clouds | :14:12. | :14:14.
during the day it will brighten up and there could be the odd shower | :14:15. | :14:17.
but for most of the day we are looking at dry relatively bright | :14:18. | :14:20.
conditions and mild, too. The breeze will pick up to the acronym and then | :14:21. | :14:26.
the rain will approach from the north-western -- tomorrow evening. I | :14:27. | :14:32.
would not be surprised if one or two spots don't get around to 12 or 13 | :14:33. | :14:37.
degrees over the weekend, on Sunday at the start of the day but I think | :14:38. | :14:40.
it will become drier and brighter as the day goes on and then on Monday | :14:41. | :14:44.
was places will have a lot of cloud and it will be quite breezy. In 12 | :14:45. | :14:49.
spots it could be a few degrees higher. | :14:50. | :14:52.
You didn't answer if you will buy it but I'm sure many of your fans would | :14:53. | :14:56.
love to see you in the Peter Reeve a James Bond dress! Subject is closed, | :14:57. | :15:05.
the subject is closed. Nearly four children In Need. Have a nice | :15:06. | :15:06.
weekend. A public vote to do away | :15:07. | :15:09.
with several Lincolnshire Councils and replace them with a single one | :15:10. | :15:11.
has been postponed. The county council leader | :15:12. | :15:13.
Martin Hill had proposed a referendum asking the public | :15:14. | :15:15.
if they wanted local government But that's been derailed | :15:16. | :15:18.
by opposition from some Our political editor | :15:19. | :15:21.
Tim Iredale reports. Barely a day goes by without | :15:22. | :15:30.
councils complaining they don t have enough money | :15:31. | :15:32.
to provide local services. So Lincolnshire's county council | :15:33. | :15:36.
leader came up with a proposal he claimed would save 30 million | :15:37. | :15:40.
pounds a year. To scrap his own authority and seven | :15:41. | :15:43.
districts and replace them with a unitary authority covering | :15:44. | :15:46.
the whole of Lincolnshire. It's an idea that's divided | :15:47. | :15:50.
council tax payers. I believe we don't need county | :15:51. | :15:58.
councils and district councils, just one or two or three saw the public | :15:59. | :16:07.
can have one council to go to. You need one person to go and see | :16:08. | :16:10.
rather than different districts, you don't know where to go for each | :16:11. | :16:15.
subject. Good idea. Having one in Lincoln, they have now idea what | :16:16. | :16:23.
goes on in any other town. You need somebody on the ground. The merger | :16:24. | :16:28.
proposal was proposed by some of Lincolnshire 's District Council | :16:29. | :16:32.
leaders who sought legal advice. A legal opinion is unequivocal that | :16:33. | :16:39.
you cannot run a referendum integrated with our local council | :16:40. | :16:43.
election. I am afraid it is typical of the county to take us on a rather | :16:44. | :16:47.
arrogant and incompetent approach to things. They did not bother to | :16:48. | :16:52.
consult the district councils, they did not take proper legal advice. | :16:53. | :16:58.
The county council leader denies the accusation and says in a referendum | :16:59. | :17:03.
on his proposals has been scrapped. This is a U-turn. More like a | :17:04. | :17:09.
chicane, we are still going to do a consultation in September October | :17:10. | :17:12.
but not a U-turn, more of a chicane. There have been a few obstacles put | :17:13. | :17:18.
in the way and we will consult the public. Although there will not be a | :17:19. | :17:21.
formal referendum the people of Lincolnshire will be asked their | :17:22. | :17:24.
views on whether they want a unitary authority is part of a consultation | :17:25. | :17:29.
process. It is clear this matter is not off the political agenda here. | :17:30. | :17:34.
Lincoln City are just hours away from the biggest cup | :17:35. | :17:37.
The underdogs hope to pull-off a shock result when they face | :17:38. | :17:42.
Premier League side Burnley in the FA Cup Fifth round. | :17:43. | :17:44.
Our sports reporter Simon Clark is here. | :17:45. | :17:47.
Peter, the way this team have been performing anything seems possible! | :17:48. | :17:54.
There may be 81 places between top flight Burnley and non-League | :17:55. | :17:57.
Lincoln City but tomorrow lunchtime when the teams come out | :17:58. | :18:01.
onto the pitch that gap may not count for much. | :18:02. | :18:05.
The game is live on television and will be watched right around | :18:06. | :18:08.
the world but it was business as usual today at the ground. | :18:09. | :18:15.
A quiet breakfast for the players and Lincoln city, this cup run has | :18:16. | :18:21.
made them the tools of the town. Tomorrow they will be at the heart | :18:22. | :18:24.
of the nation 's consciousness when they meet Premier League Bradley for | :18:25. | :18:29.
a place in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup. It is a big occasion not | :18:30. | :18:32.
just for others played for the club's, we will go there and be in | :18:33. | :18:37.
good spirits and we have nothing to lose so we're looking forward to it. | :18:38. | :18:42.
How excited are you by the prospect? We can't wait, it will be a good | :18:43. | :18:49.
test for us. The cup run began with wins over Altrincham, first all them | :18:50. | :18:54.
were dispatched. Then came the first championship opponents, Ipswich. | :18:55. | :18:58.
Before the then leader 's Brighton were sent home in defeat. Manager | :18:59. | :19:04.
Danny Calley was checking everything was as it should be. His attention | :19:05. | :19:07.
to detail one of the reasons the Imps have come so far. We are trying | :19:08. | :19:15.
to keep Gates on to one side because we understand that tomorrow we need | :19:16. | :19:18.
all of sensors and wits about us if we are going to be able to meet the | :19:19. | :19:25.
challenge that Burnley will give us. 482 years George Ashton has avidly | :19:26. | :19:27.
followed the Imps with his wife and son. He's overjoyed with what the | :19:28. | :19:33.
team have been achieving. At the moment the way things are going it | :19:34. | :19:39.
has really elected me and the wife, my son has been coming since he was | :19:40. | :19:49.
a baby. We have all been excited. It is marvellous. The shutters are down | :19:50. | :19:53.
businesses have closed for the cure at Lincoln because it is destination | :19:54. | :19:59.
turf war and Burnley, the players leaving for Lancashire and the date | :20:00. | :20:07.
with FA Cup destiny. It is a long shot, 100 to one, but this team | :20:08. | :20:08.
could yet make FA Cup history. And you can follow every kick | :20:09. | :20:13.
of the ball in the match by tuning in to our colleagues at BBC Radio | :20:14. | :20:17.
Lincolnshire. They're live on air from 12 | :20:18. | :20:18.
with all the build up to the game - the match kicks off at 1230 | :20:19. | :20:22.
on all their frequencies. Away from the FA Cup | :20:23. | :20:24.
in League One Scunthorpe United are away at Sheffield United | :20:25. | :20:27.
and in League Two Grimsby Town are at home against Mansfield Town | :20:28. | :20:29.
hoping for a better performance Both of those games | :20:30. | :20:32.
are on BBC Radio Humberside with coverage starting at 2pm | :20:33. | :20:38.
And that's your football, Peter! From Simon to clowns, he is one of | :20:39. | :20:53.
the UK's oldest professional clones and this week Charlie McLaren has | :20:54. | :20:56.
been entertaining crowds in Lincolnshire with his family Circus. | :20:57. | :21:00.
There used to performing inside a big top but for the first time they | :21:01. | :21:04.
brought the show to the stage in the Embassy Theatre. | :21:05. | :21:09.
The show is just about to start. How long has Charlie been going? | :21:10. | :21:15.
Charlie McLaren has been performing for more than 50 years, and | :21:16. | :21:19.
alongside his son for about 45 years. During that time they told me | :21:20. | :21:24.
they have seen many changes including the attention spans of the | :21:25. | :21:27.
audience who expect the last to come a lot quicker. Here in Skegness | :21:28. | :21:32.
tonight there are plenty of people who have turned out to see this | :21:33. | :21:40.
evening 's performance. It is half term and the circus has come to | :21:41. | :21:44.
town. Featuring a variety of performers. But the real stars of | :21:45. | :21:51.
this show are Mr Burns and his father Charlie. I was fortunate | :21:52. | :21:56.
enough to be born into it, I was not born with a red nose but my father | :21:57. | :22:00.
was a clones of it was easy for me to follow in his footsteps. As a | :22:01. | :22:06.
child I imitated my father, I copied him and I played games. By the time | :22:07. | :22:11.
I was three years old I had already started to make regular appearances | :22:12. | :22:16.
in my father 's routine. The pair have been practising and performing | :22:17. | :22:20.
together for nearly 45 years. With Charlie the cloud thought to be the | :22:21. | :22:22.
oldest professional slapstick clone in the country. It is a job, | :22:23. | :22:31.
everyday, so I don't feel special. Not many people do that act, it is | :22:32. | :22:37.
too much work. There might not be as many clients now but over the years | :22:38. | :22:41.
lots of performers have tried this style of slapstick comedy, with more | :22:42. | :22:45.
modern clowns including crusty from The Simpsons and Mr Campbell. But | :22:46. | :22:52.
not all clones are so friendly. Body audiences here think about the | :22:53. | :22:58.
modern mime artists? My most favourite thing in the circus clowns | :22:59. | :23:04.
because they have a red nose and they are really funny. I know there | :23:05. | :23:09.
is a lot of stigma about clones but is this legal school ones are great. | :23:10. | :23:14.
What has been the impact of negative publicity around clowns? We did feel | :23:15. | :23:19.
the negative impact on people forgot it very quickly. The character Mr | :23:20. | :23:23.
Phipps gets created in front of the audience, people, children, anyone | :23:24. | :23:28.
who's afraid of clones gets to see me applying the character and the | :23:29. | :23:35.
character becomes alive slowly. But the applause follows quickly and | :23:36. | :23:38.
judging by the audiences reaction these clowns have now made many more | :23:39. | :23:44.
fans. And there is obviously still an appeal for this kind of | :23:45. | :23:47.
entertainment because this summer Mr Phipps wonder circus will return to | :23:48. | :23:51.
Skegness for ten weeks. They say that is the longest residential | :23:52. | :23:54.
summer season for any touring circus. Mr Fitton has circus and the | :23:55. | :24:05.
clones on in Skegness all over the weekend. | :24:06. | :24:06.
A weekend long festival, celebrating the work of Hull | :24:07. | :24:09.
musician Basil Kirchin, begins in the City today. | :24:10. | :24:11.
Basil was a jazz musician and pioneering composer who used | :24:12. | :24:13.
ground breaking techniques in his work. | :24:14. | :24:14.
The Bransholme Estate in Hull turns 50 in May this year and the BBC | :24:15. | :24:27.
is looking for people to feature in a new film celebrating | :24:28. | :24:29.
'Bransholme: 50 years, 50 Faces' will showcase a person | :24:30. | :24:38.
for every year that the estate has been open and the BBC team will be | :24:39. | :24:41.
at North Point shopping centre on the estate all week next week | :24:42. | :24:44.
The last time the estate was featured in a documentary | :24:45. | :24:50.
was more than 20 years ago And next Friday I'll be there too. | :24:51. | :24:53.
So come down and see me and tell me your stories of life | :24:54. | :24:56.
That's next Friday from 11 in the morning. | :24:57. | :25:06.
And you can have a selfie with me too! | :25:07. | :25:16.
Four month old baby Primrose is from Crowle in North Lincolnshire | :25:17. | :25:21.
and she is receiving attention from around the world | :25:22. | :25:23.
Even midwives were surprised when she was born with this mop. | :25:24. | :25:31.
There's so much of it, it could even be spotted | :25:32. | :25:33.
We went for a scan about 30 weeks and the lady when she was doing it | :25:34. | :25:47.
instantly set all my goodness that baby has so much hair. We were | :25:48. | :25:52.
really shocked and said how can you tell she said she could see all the | :25:53. | :25:55.
hair curling around on the back of the next we were prepared for having | :25:56. | :25:59.
some air but obviously when she arrived no one could quite believe | :26:00. | :26:02.
just how much she had. When we came out of the delivery room and onto | :26:03. | :26:06.
the War of the midwives came over and set is this the baby with all | :26:07. | :26:10.
the hair? A lot of them said they had never seen a baby with quite a | :26:11. | :26:14.
lot hair. Some days you will have a really good county and it is very | :26:15. | :26:17.
tame and other days it is sticking up and with the curly. A lot of | :26:18. | :26:23.
people said she will be ready for her first haircuts and that I don't | :26:24. | :26:27.
want to cut it at this stage. It seems weird to take the baby at that | :26:28. | :26:34.
age to the hairdressers. That baby Primrose getting national publicist. | :26:35. | :26:42.
-- national publicity. Don't forget if you have a story of thing we | :26:43. | :26:46.
should know about the drop us an e-mail. | :26:47. | :26:47.
Let's get a recap of the national and regional headlines | :26:48. | :26:50.
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair calls for voters to rise up | :26:51. | :26:52.
and reject Brexit saying they didn't know what they were voting for. | :26:53. | :26:56.
More police officers are promised to join the battle against rural | :26:57. | :26:59.
Tomorrow's weather, Overall a fairly cloudy day though it | :27:00. | :27:04.
will tend to brighten after a grey start. | :27:05. | :27:06.
Staying dry with the breeze picking up. | :27:07. | :27:08.
The subject of rural crime, Michael said I have got her courses | :27:09. | :27:23.
red-handed but could do nothing but I'll 999 and the police are | :27:24. | :27:27.
frightened off for aggressive guys. Charles said the police need to | :27:28. | :27:30.
catch them, remove and crush their vehicles and take the dogs into | :27:31. | :27:34.
care. Tim says due to the mass of rural area of which ensure a | :27:35. | :27:37.
different approach to policing is required. The lease officers do not | :27:38. | :27:42.
exist today to carry it all the public demand. | :27:43. | :27:44.
Have a really peaceful weekend and they will see you on Monday. | :27:45. | :27:45.
Goodbye. | :27:46. | :27:49. |
