Hello, welcome to Sunday's Look North.

It was described as a once in a lifetime event.

Four trains from four different eras - including

the world-famous Flying Scotsman - travelling side-by-side

along the East Coast mainline in North Yorkshire.

Thousands of people lined the route to watch.

Look North's Tom Ingall was the only reporter on board.

Well, this is something I never thought I'd be able to do -

stand in the middle of the East Coast Mainline

with four generations of motor power lined up on display.

It's a glorious day, so many people have come out to see it,

but this is the best view in the house.

Four... Three...

Two... One...

At first light, this remarkable piece of railway theatre began.

Flying Scotsman, first locomotive to officially reach 100mph,

a brand-new Azuma train, which will make a debut

An InterCity Electric, currently plying between London,

York and Edinburgh, and a classic high-speed train from the '70s,

running in parallel along a section of the East Coast Mainline.

I've got a virtual marker on the side of the train, and I'm

Along the line, stops were made for the crowds of onlookers

Meanwhile, at York station, just down the line, thousands

were waiting for their chance to see history unfolding.

There's not been anything remotely like it since the 1930s.

I don't think you're going to see anything like it again

I don't think you're going to see anything like it

It's a really special day for everyone to be able to be out

To get these four trains, to close the East Coast Mainline,

firstly, and to get these four trains on, or moving

firstly, and to get these four trains on, all moving

in the same direction for the first time ever,

never to be repeated, it's truly a piece of history.

A phenomenal amount of planning from all the four partner

It's unlikely this sort of motor power parade will happen

Truly a moment for the railways and fair enthusiasts to relish.

An under-17s football tournament has been held in Leeds

to raise awareness about knife crime.

It was also organised to celebrate the life of 16-year-old

Irfan Waheed, who was fatally stabbed in Harehills.

A football tournament in Leeds for under-17s,

but they are not just here to compete, they are

Irfan Waheed died from a single stab wound to his chest.

He's never had beef or anything with anyone, to be honest.

He's told me never go on the wrong path.

He was always active. Always playing football.

A good footballer, and I think if he was here today,

he could have changed people's lives.

Irfan was attacked in broad daylight in Harehills Lane in February.

His death was one of three fatalities within the area

Playing football to remember Irfan. But today's not just about sport.

They're sending out a clear message that knives and guns aren't

Today's event was organised by Leeds Street Team,

community volunteers who want to end street crime.

You might carry a knife with no intention to hurt anyone.

It could end up in devastation, because in the heat of the moment,

There's people out there carrying a knife, they need to drop it,

because look, people that have lost their son, lost their brother,

lost their friend, lost their nephew.

An investigation's underway after a body was found close

Transport police and paramedics were called to the line

close to the Denaby Main crossing this morning.

Services between Swinton and Doncaster were disrupted

The leader of the Women's Equality Party Sophie Walker

says she'll stand against the Conservative MP

for Shipley - Philip Davies - in the general election.

Mr Davies has been an advocate for 'male' rights

and an outspoken critic of what he describes

He says he welcomes his rival "parachuting herself" into the seat

In Super League, just one result for you.

Hull FC beat league leaders Castleford by 26 points to 24,

despite playing the final hour with 12 men.

In cricket, Day 3 of Yorkshire taking on Hampshire

It ended with Yorkshire 46 runs behind.

But a strong performance from Gary Ballance has given them

a fighting chance of escaping from this match with a draw.

Owain says it's getting chilly this week.

Hello, and. You will notice it getting a lot colder over the next

few days. We are importing cold air from the north. More in a second.

Tomorrow looks like this. Cloudy with patchy rain, and brightening up

later, but feeling colder. Tomorrow start of try. Outbreaks of rain

moving from the north, and thicker cloud, lows of six, with noticeable

breeze. Tomorrow morning starts off on a grey, cloudy note. That rain

clears cars, drying and brightening behind it with a view showers, highs

of 10-11. Quite breezy, frosty nights to come, and it will be

chilly by day with a risk of further wintry showers.

in Yorkshire is there a! Thank you in Yorkshire is there a! Thank you

for joining us. Back with your late news at 10:20 p.m.. See you later,

tonight. We're watching this cold front, this will line, this weather
