Hello. Chillier air coming along at the end of the week,

0:00:030:00:05

but, snow fans, don't get too excited, it is all relative.

0:00:050:00:07

It is so mild that the moment,

0:00:070:00:10

18 degrees again in one or two places on Saturday.

0:00:100:00:13

More warmth to come but also more wind and rain.

0:00:130:00:17

On Sunday, some very wet weather spilling up across the western

0:00:170:00:20

side of England and Wales and into the heart of Northern Ireland

0:00:200:00:23

and Scotland. Heavy rain, strong winds too.

0:00:230:00:26

In stark contrast, further south and east, through much of the Midlands,

0:00:260:00:29

East Anglia and southern England, a dry day and another mild one.

0:00:290:00:32

16 or 17 degrees.

0:00:320:00:34

Those winds across the far north as we go into the night could be

0:00:340:00:38

an issue.

0:00:380:00:40

We could see gusts as high as 60 or 70mph across the Northern Isles.

0:00:400:00:44

So we will keep an eye on those.

0:00:440:00:46

Further wet weather will be sweeping in from the west as we head

0:00:460:00:50

into the morning.

0:00:500:00:51

Some heavy rain again for more northern and western parts of the UK.

0:00:510:00:54

Each day the rainfall totals tot up and the Met Office is working very

0:00:540:00:57

closely with the Environment Agency to keep an eye on river catchments.

0:00:570:01:01

It will brighten up across the north of Scotland through the day,

0:01:010:01:04

but the most reliable dry weather will again be further south.

0:01:040:01:07

Southern parts of England having a dry day.

0:01:070:01:09

All a bit breezy and cloudy, not much in the way

0:01:090:01:12

of brightness here.

0:01:120:01:14

As we go through Monday night and into Tuesday,

0:01:140:01:16

another pulse of wet weather pushes back across northern areas.

0:01:160:01:20

Very strong gusty winds within this flow,

0:01:200:01:22

with ripples along this weather front providing further outbreaks of rain.

0:01:220:01:27

Through the early part of the coming week, it is more of the same.

0:01:270:01:30

Further rain for sure, at times some very strong winds,

0:01:300:01:33

especially in the north. But mild just about everywhere.

0:01:330:01:37

Somewhat cooler at times across the far north.

0:01:370:01:39

The highest temperatures will again be across the more southern

0:01:390:01:42

areas on Tuesday,

0:01:420:01:43

with the help of some brightness in between further pulses of rain.

0:01:430:01:46

Some very gusty winds blowing over

0:01:460:01:49

and down the other side of the Pennines.

0:01:490:01:50

This weather front is going to hang around as we head towards

0:01:500:01:53

the middle of the week, it pushes southwards

0:01:530:01:56

and then starts to push back northwards again.

0:01:560:01:58

That all means that further persistent rain in some places

0:01:580:02:01

through this central slice.

0:02:010:02:02

Brighter conditions,

0:02:020:02:04

somewhat fresher conditions across Northern Ireland and Scotland.

0:02:040:02:07

Quite blustery but somewhat lower temperatures, 10 or 11,

0:02:070:02:09

compared again to the 15 or 16, possibly 17 degrees

0:02:090:02:13

to the south of that weather front.

0:02:130:02:15

As we go towards Thursday, it gets quite complicated.

0:02:150:02:19

We could see a little feature pepping up the rain,

0:02:190:02:21

crossing central parts of the country,

0:02:210:02:24

before that clears through on Thursday,

0:02:240:02:26

somewhat brighter skies following on behind.

0:02:260:02:28

All the while, still that blustery west or south-westerly wind.

0:02:280:02:32

The best of the sunshine across the more southern and eastern areas.

0:02:320:02:35

Another front, yet another front pushing in to the north-west

0:02:350:02:38

with further rain. That weather front is quite important.

0:02:380:02:42

It is a cold front and behind this feature,

0:02:420:02:46

we will start to drag in some notably chillier air.

0:02:460:02:50

There it is, the blue is beginning to spread in,

0:02:500:02:53

across the more northern parts of the UK as we hit the end of the week.

0:02:530:02:56

Not desperately cold by any stretch of the imagination

0:02:560:02:58

but certainly chillier than it has been.

0:02:580:03:00

It will be last to arrive across the south.

0:03:000:03:04

So we have seen 17 or 18 degrees in recent days.

0:03:040:03:07

It won't be as warm as that as we head towards the end of the week.

0:03:070:03:10

Temperatures going back down to normal

0:03:100:03:12

but no sign of anything particularly cold.

0:03:120:03:14

Where the skies clear overnight as we head towards the weekend,

0:03:140:03:18

there could be a touch of frost.

0:03:180:03:19

Some chillier wins next weekend, a frost risk but the probability

0:03:190:03:23

of some more rain spreading in from the west later on in the weekend.

0:03:230:03:27

That's it from me. I'll update you again tomorrow.

0:03:270:03:29

You've been together eight months.

0:03:310:03:33

I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

0:03:330:03:35

I love you.

0:03:350:03:37

Alex? Do you know this man?

0:03:370:03:40

People lie, Danny. Are you threatening me?

0:03:400:03:44

Occasionally it's right to be afraid.

0:03:440:03:46

PHONE RINGS

0:03:460:03:49

I don't know what went on in that attic. Neither do you.
