Hello. Time for our extended look at the weather.

I don't think it's giving the game away too much

to say the outlook is a cold one.

Saturday was a chilly day.

Here's a picture from the Brecon Beacons.

We saw a dusting of snow across the tops here.

Less in the way of showers on Sunday

and a slightly lighter wind.

Another cold day, though,

with a widespread frost to start.

A lot of sunshine around first thing.

Central and eastern areas should manage to hang onto

that into the afternoon.

In the west, more in the way of cloud.

Not completely shower-free,

but definitely a drier story.

Temperatures very much like Saturday,

but somewhere between the 4-8 degree mark.

A cold feeling day.

This weather system here, towards the north-west,

will start to come into play through Sunday evening

for Northern Ireland and Scotland,

bringing some wet and windy weather.

Then this weather front will sink its way south

across England and Wales to bring some wet weather

come the end of the night.

The biggest difference that weather system makes

is that it will make for a milder night.

A frost-free start to the new week,

but a wet and windy one.

A wet rush hour across southern England.

Then we're left with a mixture of sunny spells

and some quite hefty showers

for Monday daytime, really.

Some wintry flurries again,

particularly pushing into the Highlands

and the Grampians.

Windy story, but temperatures in double figures

for London. Keep an eye on those figures, though.

We won't be seeing anything like an 11

in the coming days.

The reason being once this weather system

pushes out of the way,

we again line up our isobars from north to south,

bringing air in from the Arctic.

Low pressure to the east,

always close enough to be throwing a few showers

at eastern coasts.

I think we'll see some of those on Tuesday.

Winds here as well.

In the west, some showers clipping into Wales

and the south-west of England.

A lot of sunshine on offer, however,

but it will feel chilly, thanks to the wind.

Temperatures struggling, in single figures.

For Tuesday, the area of low pressure

still to the east.

Slight change in the orientation of the isobars.

It looks like, if anything,

perhaps we'll see stronger winds

along the east coast.

The showers perhaps shifting a little bit more

offshore from Wales and the south-west of England,

but still some clipping Pembrokeshire, I think,

and Devon and Cornwall.

Another cold day, though,

and especially with that biting wind.

Again, it's just the subtle shift between Wednesday

and Thursday in the isobars.

If anything, though, perhaps a little weather system

in the North Sea, an area of more organised showers,

if you like, threatening the east coast

of England for Thursday.

We could see some particularly strong winds

by then as well.

It looks like we'll start to see more showers

just feeding into Wales and the south-west of England.

Again, though, still a cold day to come.

Still plenty of winter sunshine

away from those exposed coasts.

For Friday, very similar picture.

Showers tending to focus on the east.

The best of the sunshine in sheltered central areas.

Temperatures 5-6 degrees, but feeling much colder

with the wind.

As for the outlook for the following weekend

and the week after that,

well, we're still going to be stuck with a lot of cold air.

Mild air waiting to move in in the Atlantic,

but it's all tied into an area of high pressure

that's kind of got blocked

and isn't going to go anywhere in a great hurry,

so we'll keep that low to the east, the high to the west.

We'll keep the chilly air stream.

Perhaps if the high just extends towards us a little more, though,

it'll mean some lighter winds.

That'll bring some further wintry complications in the form,

potentially, of some patches of freezing fog.

We're still staying cold

and we're still looking at some pretty widespread frost,

so it's definitely going to be

a proper wintry feel as we move

towards the start of December.
