That's the Muppet theme, we're singing it because we're all

very excited about the brand-new movie, Muppets Most Wanted.

Last year, I went behind the scenes to meet Kermit and Co.

I also met Miss Piggy and I have to say, that I thought Lindsey

was a bit of a diva, but after Miss Piggy, she's a walk in the park!

-Barney, I'm still here.

-Hi. I love what you do, you're amazing.

It may not look like it, but I am actually in England,

at the moment, on the set of a brand-new massive movie.

But the people in this movie are no ordinary superstars.

They're The Muppets.

# Come on, everybody

# Strike up the band

# We're in a sequel That's what we do in Hollywood

# And everybody knows that the sequel's never quite as good

# A sequel, another feature attraction

# Places, please, light the lights, Roll camera, action! #

It's cold spring day in Oxfordshire

on location with Muppets Most Wanted.

The cast and crew are preparing for a big scene and I've tracked down

a familiar face - unwitting hero and all-round nice guy, Walter.

Let me point out first before we start that this is Walter's badge,

he has earned it,

because, not only are you now on Blue Peter for the first time,

which is how you get your badge, but you're bona fide Muppet.

Yeah, I know, can you believe it? I do all my own stunts in this.

There's action, and singing and Muppets and danger and espionage.

Oh! It's so exciting!

I've got it.

Making a Muppets movie is no small job -

from cameras to catering, dolly grip to director,

it takes hundreds of people to craft each scene.

But it's a small, green frog called Kermit who really calls the shots.

These people all know, of course, that you are the biggest star on set,

-which is why it's so nice to talk to you.

-You know, I have to say,

that it's not like I'm Johnny Depp or anything.

It's not that difficult,

-because I'm always playing the role of Kermit the Frog.

-Sure.

It was the part I was born to play.

Hey! I can't believe you're here, it's so good to see you guys.

Kermit, listen, the evil frog man, Constantine,

has taken over The Muppets and replaced you!

I am actually kidnapped in this movie.

And I spend my time here, while the evil Constantine,

played by my cousin, Constantine, is actually taking over The Muppets.

We are now in a position to carry out greatest bor...gr...y.

Borgle...

Burgle... Burgle...

-Burglary?

-Yes, of all time,

and pin it on those gullible Muppets,

who will spend the rest of their miserable lives behind bars.

Ricky Gervais is one of the many famous human faces

in this international crime caper.

He plays number two to Constantine's number one.

It's like a buddy movie, bad guy, bad frog.

Who doesn't want to watch that?

International tour manager.

-Dominic Badguy?

-It's pronounced "Badgey".

-It's French.

-ALL: Oh!

I don't talk to people any more. I just talk to frogs and pigs.

I don't want this moment to end!

That's why we've got to get out there

and capitalise on this with a capital C.

So, I mean, yeah, it's a problem,

because when I go into the real world, it's just people.

I want you to conquer the world, do an international tour,

show a global audience what you can do.

THEY ALL AGREE ENTHUSIASTICALLY

As performers in a successful variety show,

every one of the Muppet characters has their own individual style.

And the person unless addressed the more is costume designer Rahel.

We could spend time talking about everybody in the movie,

but, when it comes to costumes, there's only one person who

I imagine might be a little diva-ish and that's Miss Piggy, of course.

-Yes.

-How do you go about designing her costume?

You know, she's a very classy woman, so we keep it pretty classic.

A lot of research, especially in the 1930s and '40s.

-Does she have an opinion on it?

-Oh, she always has an opinion.

This scene takes place in the Siberian prison

and as you can see, it's quite a scary place

with some very scary prisoners.

And you've got to be really careful with these guys

because rumour has it, they can burst into song and dance at any moment.

Three, two, one, playback!

# There's no feeling feels like that feeling

# Together again! #

I'm very proud to present to you, ladies and gentlemen,

boys and girls, a very impressive lady, pig, lady, who is beautiful in

person and in spirit and on-screen... Am I getting there with this?

-That's fine. Superstar will do.

Yeah, there are a few things that I ask for...nay, demand!

First of all, I get to take home all the clothes, any props I may fancy.

You know what else I also get?

but we've a purple badge that is reviewing a show online.

The orange badge is entering a competition, the green badge

is being all environmental with the tree, the sport badge is inspiring

the blue badge and the gold badge is saving the silver badge's life!

-Wow!

How good is that? It makes a sound!

That may just be the first ever Blue Peter make with its own sound effect,

I think we've started something brand-new.

She's done this amazing one.

Look, it's a collage, and we all have quite big heads

and tiny legs, which I really like about it.

I do in real life, actually, these aren't my legs.

Kermit the Frog by Adele, that's a great themed photo,

perfect for today's show, and he's wearing his badge.

If we take a look at this, there's a great ship theme at the moment

and Evelyn has designed this. It's a mosaic, so paper cut into squares

-that make the shape. It's brilliant. Thank you.

-OK, so I'm not that good at playing samba music,

however, that does not matter

because there are many people that are

and that's because I went to a samba band world record attempt

to launch the Street Child World Cup

and that's got me feeling all samba-y.

When you think "Brazil", you might think football...

..Christ the Redeemer...

But you also might think samba!

Samba is Brazil's national dance

and its carnival rhythms are created by a percussion band

called a bateria.

Today, samba comes to the Royal Albert Hall.

In just a few hours' time

around 1,700 potential record breakers

will come together to hopefully form the world's largest samba band!

I'm really excited because I have being given a special job to do.

That's to be an official adjudicator on the world-record team.

Now, I actually don't know what that means,

but I'm going to find out more in there.

-Jack, lovely to meet you.

Now, you are a world record senior adjudicator.

I'm going to be helping out with this event.

What exactly am I going to be doing?

So, your job today, with the other stewards, will be

to make sure that in your group,

everyone's following the rules, basically.

What do I need to look out for?

Firstly, the performance must be of a professional standard.

They need to know what they're doing,

not tripping up at all during the playing.

-What will I need?

-There are a few things you'll need.

-For a start you'll need these.

-OK, earplugs.

-Earplugs.

-Right.

Very important. Protect your hearing.

This clicker, to keep

a running tally of how many people you've had to discount.

-And your steward's T-shirt.

-Yes!

'So it's my job to count anyone that's disqualified.

'I hope there aren't too many.

'But to help me get to grips with my role I reckon it's time to

'meet some of the musicians I'll be keeping an eye on.'

That was brilliant.

And you guys are all playing samba instruments, aren't you?

-Ellie, I love the look of that there. Can I have a go?

-Yeah.

Thank you. What do I need to play?

You play the rhythm that is

'These kids want to smash the world record and mark the start of their

'Street Child World Cup, which is about to kick off in Rio de Janeiro.

'The competition brings together 250 street kids from 19 countries

'to play football against each other.

'Four years ago, Blue Peter followed the UK team to the

'competition in South Africa and it was an experience that

'Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere will never forget.'

I took a group of young boys and girls actually from Manchester

and I mentored them and we went out to South Africa

and it was a life-changing experience, you know?

I guess the most important thing about Street Child World Cup

is that it actually give these kids a reason to be somewhere.

In their countries, they're kind of invisible,

but for Street Child World Cup they're actually somebody.

I absolutely love it

and what I personally like is the fact it doesn't matter what

you look like, where you come from, what you sound like, you can

-come together and you can share an incredible experience.

-Of course.

-That's why we're here now.

-Yeah. Are you part of it, are you taking part?

I feel a little bit bad because I'm one of the adjudicators.

-What, the clicker guys?

-Yeah!

So, I'm one of the guys that could stop it from being

an official world record, so I hope everyone does it,

I hope we get a brand-new world record. That would be incredible.

'The Royal Albert Hall has filled up fast,

so I quickly take my adjudicator's position.'

It's going to be loud.

I've got my earplugs. And I've got my clicker.

This is going to be epic.

-'It's show time.'

-WHISTLE BLOWS

'The previous world record was set in Sao Paulo in 2011,

'with 1,038 people.

'Today, everyone needs to play a five-minute piece together

'in time to the same samba rhythm and they've only got three attempts.

'It's such an amazing atmosphere, I actually have to concentrate

'and remember, this is an official record attempt

'but let's face it, they're all doing a pretty good job.'

I'm happy to report that is the number of people that

I had to click.

None. They all did it.

DRUMMING

'One person wasn't quite good enough to make it,

'so sadly, on the clicker, we've got one person now.'

DRUMMING AND WHISTLING

'And that's it. It's all over.

'The band has done everything they can do.'

So, hopefully, one of those attempts will be good enough

for a new world record.

I'm so excited and now I've got to go and take this to the senior

adjudicator and find out the verdict.

'Locked away in a top-secret room, Jack now has to count

'and verify every single adjudicator's result.'

There were a few deductions that had to be made.

The final number...

was 1,675.

-Yes!

-CROWD CHEERS

We've done it!

'They've done it! A new world record.'

-Guys.

-Yeah.

I've got some news for you.

We've just broken a brand-new record!

Yes, we got the world record.

Congratulations to everyone that went. What a job.

So, from music to Mother's Day. Lindsey?

Another world record on Blue Peter, which is good news, we love it.

Something that's just around the corner, of course, is Mother's Day.

That is this Sunday so we will show you how to make a cool creation,

which is, of course, a Mother's Day card.

And the cool thing about this card is you can use it for anything.

Good luck card, be really creative and unique with it.

I'll just show you there.

That's what it looks like, like an ordinary Mother's Day card.

But no, no, because if I get a coin and scratch just here,

you can see underneath, look at that!

It's me as a baby with my mum. Aww!

So, we are going to show you how to make it.

Here to help, I've got Max, Robyn, Nathan and Olivia. Hello, guys.

Thank you very much for coming in.

Remember, all the details are on the website.

Shall we get started? What will we need, Nathan?

Washing up liquid. Acrylic paint.

Sticky-back plastic and some scissors.

Cool. Very nice. What else are we going to need, Robyn?

There's more, isn't there?

Some paintbrushes, coloured card, and decorations.

Beautifully said. Thank you very much.

Now, let's get started. First thing we need to do is in here.

We've already mixed some washing-up liquid,

one part of that with two parts paint.

I've gone for purple because it's my favourite colour.

If you need help measuring it,

just get one tablespoon of washing-up liquid

and two tablespoons of paint, any colour.

And then, use a nice dollop of it

and get that onto your sticky-back plastic,

on to the shiny side.

Use any colour you want.

And you can even mix the colours if you're feeling creative

and I'm actually going to do two coats there

to make it nice and thick, because that will cover the hidden message.

You need to leave this to dry. Going to get that out of the way.

If it's a little bit see-through, do a couple of coats.

Once it's dry, we can get our shape on the back.

You need to turn it over and decide what shape to go for, with a pencil.

-What have you gone for, guys, Olivia?

-A flower.

A flower! Because it's springtime. I like that a lot.

-What about you, Nathan?

-A piggy face.

OK! You've gone for a piggy face for your mum?

-Do you think she'll mind?

-No.

-OK, good! I'm glad!

I am going to not risk that for my mum. She might tell me off.

But I am going to go for a little heart to show that I love her.

There we go. Once you've done your heart, nice and neatly,

carefully pick up some scissors and start to cut it out, like so.

Now, mine's got a bit stuck there, I'll use some different scissors.

Be quite careful here because you don't want to rub

any of the paint off on the other side.

There we go. Robyn, what shapes have you gone for?

Who are you making yours for?

For my friend, because it's almost her birthday.

Ooh, nice, thinking ahead. I like that.

-And what have you gone for, flowers?

-Yes.

With googly eyes, which I really like. That's a good touch.

You can be as creative as you want.

Once you've cut out your heart,

like so, it is time to get it onto your card.

So, I'm going to get my card, and this is what you are going to

use as a template so you know where your secret message is going.

So, I've got my pencil. Going to draw around the heart

so I know exactly where to put my message, like so.

It can be quite rough.

Now, inside this shape that I've just drawn here,

is where I am going to put, "I love you, Mum." Aww!

How nice is that? Or you can do what I did before

and cut out a nice photo to put inside.

Then it is time for the tricky part.

This is when you peel off the sticky-back plastic from your shape,

it can be a bit fiddly.

Be careful not to knock any paint. You don't want to scratch it.

I'm going to use one from here. There we go.

Then you just stick it over your secret message, like so,

and now is the really cool part, because you get to decorate it.

-How are we getting on, Max?

-Yeah...

-There's a lot of glitter. Who are you making yours for?

-My mum.

Oh, look at this. You're making it for your mum.

-What does your mum like doing?

-Music, and watching movies.

That is absolutely perfect.

There's a nice shooting star on there as well,

which I love. Well done.

Remember, it's not just for Mother's Day,

you can use these for everything. That's why they're a great idea.

It is. They're great people and I have learned a lot,

because they've been doing it a long time and they know how to do it.

They do. And it's the first Kaiser Chiefs single in quite a few years.

How do you feel to be back on the music scene?

We're really excited about it.

We can't wait to get out there and play it live.

And it's brilliant to be invited on shows like this

and be able to play it to people. We're really excited about it.

It's out Monday, 31st March.
