-The Welsh Mountaineering Club have

-written a book, Copaon Cymru...

-..and their main aim is to encourage

-us to trek.

-We can see the Nantlle Ridge and

-I have the chapter in my hand.

-We learn that it takes quite

-the journey.

-Yes, the seven mile journey takes

-you over seven summits.

-The special mountain ridge

-goes from one summit to the next.

-Every other trek in the book

-is a circle...

-..but to do the Nantlle Ridge trek

-you go from one side to the other.

-There are also information panels

-We can see the Nantlle Valley and

-the remains of the industry.

-You'll find extra information

-at the end of each chapter.

-Below there are many lakes.

-In the Nantlle Valley, the slate

-..which meant they needed to burrow

-down into the earth to get slate.

-the highest point in Brecon.

-Pen y Fan is an hour from Cardiff

-and has many paths to reach the top.

-I wrote the chapters which

-concentrated on the Brecon Beacons.

-I'm very familiar with the area and

-decided to start with Pen y Fan...

-..which is the highest mountain

-in the area.

-I wanted to find the most striking

-path, which is to the north.

-This is an incredible place to reach

-the summit with fantastic views.

-From the summit you can see Corn Du,

-Cribyn and the Brecon Beacons.

-As someone who has written two

-chapters of the book...

-..I hope that people will buy, read

-and enjoy it and walk the paths.

-Cardiff to meet with Rhian Taylor...

-..who is just about to complete

-the incredible challenge...

-..of running 30 half marathons

-All that before her 39th birthday,

-which is today.

-My first question to you is why?

-It's a good question.

-A few months ago,

-I wanted to set myself a challenge.

-I thought why not...

-..30 half marathons in 30 days.

-Was it more difficult

-than you expected?

-At times, yes it was.

-Having to get up at 5.00am

-to run before going to work...

-..or running after a busy day

-in work was quite tough.

-I have been raising money for

-Pudsey and Children in Need.

-That really kept me going and I've

-raised almost 2,000 so far.

-Today is the last half marathon,

-the 30th one.

-Every day, my children have made me

-a new number to wear on my back.

-It's number 30 today

-We are so proud of you and think

-you've done so brilliantly.

-Here are some flowers so Happy

-Birthday and congratulations.

-After five years of hard work

-and millions of pounds...

-..the famous Glynn Vivian Gallery

-is reopening this weekend.

-Amongst the works exhibited...

-..are paintings by Leonardo

-da Vinci, Picasso and Turner.

-was responsible for this gallery.

-He travelled the globe collecting

-examples of portraits, pottery...

-..and all sorts of artefacts.

-He returned with his collection.
