-and the Blaenporth male voice choir.

-The choir was established

-by Dic's father.

-First, let's take a look back

-at the life of Dic Jones.

-The name Dic Jones

-or Dic yr Hendre...

-..means something different

-to everyone who knew him.

-Some remember him as a farmer

-in his dark, blue overalls...

-..sitting on his tractor in

-the fields of Fferm yr Hendre...

-..in Blaenannerch near Cardigan.

-Others knew him as a poet and that's

-what brought him national fame.

-In the 1950s, he won the Urdd

-Eisteddfod Chair five times...

-..and he became a chief bard at the

-1966 Aberafan National Eisteddfod.

-He won the Chair with his poem,

-Cynhaeaf - Harvest.

-Some say it's the best poem to have

-ever been seen at an Eisteddfod.

-Ten years later, he won the Chair at

-the Cardigan National Eisteddfod...

-..with Y Gwanwyn - Spring.

-In 2008, he was installed

-as Archdruid of Y Gorsedd.

-He published six volumes of poetry

-and an autobiography.

-He was a great character who left

-his mark on his local community...

-..and on the whole nation.

-I'm now joined by Idris Reynolds.

-He has published a collection

-of tributes to Dic Jones.

-He was a real personality.

-It isn't an academic book.

-It's a book about the man,

-the poet, the singer...

-..the friend, farmer,

-media man and arch druid.

-You were close friends.

-The Gwasg Gomer Press

-asked me to write the book.

-We wanted to mark 50 years

-since his winning poem.

-You wrote it in six months.

-I managed to write

-the book in six months.

-I know a lot of people.

-I've managed to write the book

-in an array of headings.

-I'm very happy with the book.

-It's been written by the right man!

-Idris and Dic were great friends.

-They shared many interests.

-I've read the book.

-I'm also joined by the chief bard,

-Ceri Wyn Jones.

-This is an excellent book.

-I am wearing two hats.

-I'm here on behalf

-of the Gwasg Gomer Press.

-I'm also here as a huge fan of Dic.

-He was one of the greatest poets

-in Wales.

-It's a great book about Dic.

-It's very timely because of the

-anniversary.

-starting on 28 September.

-I was worried that I was

-losing my Welsh, as was Mam.

-She thought I spoke Wenglish!

-What do you offer at the studio?

-You offer everything

-through the medium of Welsh.

-I wanted to work through

-the medium of Welsh.

-It's for people of all ages,

-background or fitness levels.

-It's about creating confidence

-and ability by working out.

-You can start anywhere.

-Everyone's journey is difference.

-People are more comfortable

-in a studio located in a house.

-They'll regret it when they

-find out I'm really strict!

-Your mother, Liz,

-is here to support you.

-You must be very proud of her.

-I am very happy she's returned home

-I think it's very important.

-I suffered a bad accident

-and smashed my leg and knee.

-It's not about the aesthetic.

-I love Helen Fielding's writing.

-It's a diary-format that goes

-into a story so I like her work.

-She made big knickers famous

-and I think every woman has a pair.

-My friends and I

-called them Suck-Me-In-Soldiers!

-You couldn't breathe in them but

-they gave great posture and shape.

-I'm Bridget and this is Jack...

-Oh, lovely. You're our

-second same-sex couple today.

-Bridget Jones is the most famous

-person to have a degree from Bangor.

-I'm surprised the university doesn't
