-I'll chat to her in a few minutes.

-Not many can claim that they've been

-in the series from the very start...

-who plays Anti Marian.

-Last night, she appeared

-in her final ever episode.

-..to launch the new

-Welsh centre in Cardiff.

-Hundreds are here to celebrate

-the opening.

-I heard all about it today.

-At Yr Hen Lyfrgell we want to offer

-Welsh language opportunities...

-..to people of all ages

-and from all backgrounds.

-It's a great pleasure to be here.

-Visitors to Cardiff and residents

-will be able to visit the building.

-It's important to have a place for

-societies to have a meeting place.

-It's also a venue where people will

-be able to come during the evening.

-Within Yr Hen Lyfrgell,

-we'll have a host of activities.

-There's the Bodlon shop,

-The Cardiff Story museum...

-..the Lan Lloft clothing boutique

-and a cafe or bar.

-The site was originally home

-to a Welsh chapel.

-It was demolished before this

-building was built in the 1970s.

-At the time, the members had to

-decide between selling the site...

-..or keeping back

-a small piece of land.

-They believed that just a small area

-would be enough for the Welsh...

-..as there wasn't confidence in

-the survival of the Welsh language.

-However, they were incorrect.

-On the first floor,

-there's a creche.

-We provide childcare for children

-aged between three and eight.

-Anyone can pop in at any time

-or book in advance.

-It's a handy facility if parents

-want to go shopping or for a meal.

-They can leave their children here

-and they'll have lots of fun.

-We try to produce

-new and exciting Welsh dishes.

-At least 80 percent of our produce

-is sourced from Welsh producers.

-It's fantastic to have a centre of

-this kind at the heart of the city.

-It was about time that we opened

-a Welsh centre in Cardiff.

-I hope that people will make

-the most of this new facility.

-As a learner,

-I'm very happy to come here.

-It's a great place to meet people

-and speak Welsh.

-It's important to open a centre of

-this kind at the heart of the city.

-It's open to everyone and it's such

-a beautiful and iconic building.

-It's exciting that various societies

-and movements will now join forces.

-will be Sian Grigg from Cardiff.

-on your Oscar nomination.

-Where were you when you found out

-and how did you react?

-I was at home and my husband

-switched on the television.

-I couldn't believe it.

-I was in complete shock.

-I didn't expect it

-as every nominated film was great.

-Tell us more this blockbuster.

-It's certainly a blockbuster.

-When I received the script

-I thought "Oh, no!"

-"Can I be excused from this job,

-please!"

-But I've worked for Leo for 20 years

-so it was difficult to refuse.

-He wanted me to take the job due

-to the scale of the make-up work.

-I've never read a script

-that required so much make-up...

-..especially when

-it was only for one character.

-Hugh Glass, my character

-has been given this job...

-..to take this fur-trapping unit

-through the wilderness.

-My place is right here

-on the smart end of this riffle.

-A lot of research work

-was involved at the start.

-I created a cast of Leo's body

-and face to sculpt the prosthetics.

-I get mauled in one of the most

-incredible cinematic experiences...

-..audiences will have seen by

-a full grown grizzly bear mother.

-The whole process of the bear attack

-took five months to prepare.

-Hugh Glass endures a lot and I was

-running out places to apply wounds.

-From your long list of films

-was Titanic your first film?

-It certainly changed my life.

-It's where I met Leo

-and it was a massive success.

-And the Golden Globe

-goes to Leonardo DiCaprio.

-The Revenant has already won

-a BAFTA and Golden Globe award.

-Leonardo DiCaprio has gained

-success for his role in the film.

-I was in the Carmarthen Eisteddfod

-the lovely, Terry Dyddgen-Jones.

-He asked if I was interested

-in appearing in Pobol y Cwm.

-I said, "Yes, please!"

-Did you expect to be

-in the series for this long?

-I never expected it

-but I've enjoyed every single day.

-What are your fondest memories?

-I enjoyed working with Gwyn Elfyn

-as we both come from the same area.

-I also enjoyed working

-with the actress who played Sioned.

-You were born to work

-behind the shop counter.

-Stop talking nonsense.

-How did you sleep?

-Like a log. You should've woken me.

-I'm here to help. You need to put

-your feet up as much as possible.

-Buddug was nervous on set and got

-flustered when we went for a take.

-We used to play a trick on her and

-say we'd have another rehearsal...

-..but everyone apart from Buddug

-knew that we were doing it for real.

-She'd be fine

-and would fly through it.

-She was great and asked me

-what I did on the weekends.

-She'd asked if I was dating

-and where and what I was doing.

-She wanted to hear all the gossip.

-Do a lot of people

-refer to you as Anti Marian?

-Oh, goodness, yes.

-Cwmcerrig Farm is nearby

-and they don't know my name.

-They speak a lot of English

-but they refer to me as Marian.

-They say,

-"Come over here. See to Marian."

-Are you a fan of the series

-and will you continue to watch it?

-I never lose a single episode

-with my sister.

-She watches the clock.

-She tells me to switch on the tele

-at 6.00pm for it to warm up!

-We hope you enjoy

-Someone asked me if it was nice

-not having to learn lines and it is!
