Hello and welcome to The One Show with Matt Baker and Alex Jones.

Our guests tonight are giants in the world of cinema. Shah Rukh Khan and

Kajol caused pandemonium everywhere they go. It is fair to say the

chances are that you might not have heard of them. By the end of the

show you certainly will have. First, here is Tommy Sandhu to put you in

the picture. This is the new one from Dilwale, playing on the BBC

Asian network. The king of Bollywood arrives in the UK to talk about his

new film. Shah Rukh Khan is renowned for his on-screen versatility. He

can dance, he plays a mean action hero and a dashing romantic lead. In

a career spanning 25 years, he has made over 80 films and is worth an

estimated ?400 million. Despite his global popularity, the chances are

that you may not have heard of him. I don't know, I have no idea who

that is. A banker, politician? I've seen him in things come I don't know

his name. What kind of welcome is that? The man himself, straight off

the plane. Welcome, everyone. Welcome to London. How are you

feeling? I'm feeling good. I'm feeling better, looking at you. Is

it OK if The One Show and the BBC hang out with you? Minutes later, he

is whisked away in a low-key motor. Destination? Unknown. Fingers

crossed, we are hoping to catch up with him soon. Keep an eye on the

Rolls-Royce. I soon get wind he's heading to the studios of This

Morning. We have managed to get backstage, while we wait for Shah

Rukh Khan, apparently on his way. Here are some interesting facts

about him. He owns his own cricket team in India, the Kolkata Knight

Riders. These which included him in a list of the 50 most powerful

people in the world. In 2010, he took on a dramatic role as an

Asperger's sufferer in My Name Is Khan. As things wrapper on This

Morning, what do you ask the world's biggest movie star? When you

hear all of the admiration, how does it feel? I get embarrassed. Just

like that, he's off. My last chance to grab an intimate moment with the

king of Bollywood is amongst 50 other journalists at a press

conference for his new film, Dilwale. Me and my wife really need

this film. The strap line is, fall in love all over again. If she

doesn't love me by the end of the film, do I get my money back?

Absolutely, and I will give you some of my hairdo. Having said that, I

promise you, this one will make you feel good about love. The promise is

that the new film will be as good as the classic DDLJ.

Tommy will be on his way later. Shah Rukh and Kajol are fighting through

the crowds. In the meantime, we have sent him on a mission? Iwan, what is

your mission this evening? To be quite tricky. I am in Alum Rock, in

Birmingham, looking for a family with the name of Khan, in honour of

our special guest, the world's most famous Khan, Mr Bollywood himself.

If you recognise the area, come and grab me. I want to watch The One

the 1st today. Up and down the country, children of all ages are

opening their advent calendars. You cannot beat a chocolate square for

breakfast. Our Advent calendar has nothing in it as vulgar as

chocolate. Shane! We have people in the windows. People for whom the

holiday season will be very special. Tonight it's Alana Waterman

and her husband Mark - they are celebrating their first

year together as a married couple. Round of applause. They have been

together since they were 15 years old and just moved into the new

home. We'll be opening another window

find on our website are those annoying pop-up ads

for free trials and amazing deals. But those fantastic offers often

hide hidden traps designed to part us from our cash,

Dr Sal has been to find out more. As a doctor, I'm never impressed by

any of these online adverts for miracle health care products. Yet

many of us are tempted by the free trial offers on anything from diet

pills to skin creams. But there can be a downside. Signing up for these

supposedly risk-free trials will do nothing for your health and could

seriously harm your bank balance. Alison Fry from near Bristol learned

to her cost that there is nothing free about some free trials. She

ordered two pots of an anti ageing face cream, advertised as a

scientific breakthrough. So, why these creams? They looked good, it

said on the label, anti ageing. All you have to pay for was posted and

packaging of ?6, give my credit card details and go from there. There is

nothing on this particular page that suggests it is anything other than a

free trial? It says it all over. Exactly, that is why I signed up.

The website also directed customers to what looked like a Cosmopolitan

magazine article, where TV presenter Holly Willoughby apparently swore by

the cream. But behind those free trial claims lay a trap. Hidden in

the small print, it allowed the company to help themselves to money

straight from Alison's account. That is nearly ?92 every four weeks. You

never agree to that? No. It is really like somebody dipping into

your wallet without permission. Yes. They have taken out nearly ?180. We

know of scores of customers like Alison who found money had been

taken from their accounts without them realising they had given the

company permission. Many people are just too embarrassed to appear on

camera. We have spoken to 175-year-old woman who lost nearly

?400 before she spotted what was going on. -- one 75-year-old woman.

So-called free trials of slimming pills like these are costing UK

consumers ?1 million each year. How are they getting away with it? Mike

Andrews is in charge of the national trading standards prime team. It is

what we would call a subscription trap. The official term is something

called a continuous payment authority. Once you have given the

authority to the business, that allows them to withdraw money out of

your bank account almost at will, as often as they want, and any amount

that they want. I've never even heard of a continuous payment

authority, so how clued up are we about these free trial tracks? How

much do you think you would be paying, if it says free trial?

Well, free trial, you should be paying nothing. This company would

then start to charge you ?90. I would be very shocked. ?90!? Surely

that is theft? I have had money taken out of my bank account for

something quite similar. It is quite disgusting. You didn't realise you

were signing up for something? There is nothing on there that makes you

aware of that. The hidden subscription trap is not the only

thing that the face cream firm Aimee are being less than upfront about.

Remember the Cosmopolitan article with Holly Willoughby? It was just a

mock-up. Neither the magazine nor the presenter had anything to do

with Aimee Age Correction. We have discovered the same company has

links to dodgy diet pill offers that contain subscription traps. The

company hides behind numerous addresses across the UK, including

this one. But it is all just a front. The firm's bosses are

actually based in Spain. We wanted to talk to them, but their offices

in Bristol are closed and they failed to answer any requests for an

interview. The good news is that there is a way out of these hidden

subscriptions. The consumer can contact their bank or credit card

issuer, advice and they want a continuous payment authority from

continuing, they are obliged to stop the payment. The next time you see

an advert with an good to be true, just been it. -- Aimee. Unbelievable

that they used Holly's face. It is now time to welcome the Bollywood

superstars who are Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

We have been looking at images of what happens when you arrive places.

That noise, that cheering and screaming, it is just normal? Cries

of, we love you! That is just normal? It is just a very sweet,

thank you very much, everyone. You have only been in Britain for six

hours, thank you so much for joining us. Not at all, we apologise for

being late. It was my doing. I'm a superstar. We didn't tell the

audience, they were not aware of it. We put on a few films. We want to

talk about your on-screen relationship. It started 20 years

ago. 22, to be precise. In this movie that has been played in

cinemas ever since. Families go, DDLJ, what was it about this movie?

The relationship that you created is being called the hottest on-screen

relationship ever. Wow! Some just fall into place. Neither of us knew.

It was a first-time film director, we had just started out, four or

five years ago. We were all just kind of starting out, everywhere.

Nobody had any idea how good or how great the film would be, how long it

would run. You know, if you watch the making, it is really funny. You

can make out in the making, none of us had any clue that this was going

to be shown so long. We were demented! People have seen it over

and over again. For people that have not seen it, what is the actual

story? It is set in London, actually. It is a bout a guy who

comes down here, sees a girl on the trip. As you do! I can't stop liking

her. But she is to be married to somebody else. The departing part of

the film was that instead of it being the two against the world, the

guy and girl decide, you know what, we will try to win the world over.

It is very culturally significant to how India is. We say, you know what,

we will not fight with our parents, jumped from a cliff and commit

suicide, we will convince them that we are good for each other.

Especially because you know, I order a beer, I'm a very, very bad boy in

it! The Bollywood community are so excited about it, the new film is

about to be released, Dilwale. It is billed as an action romance, and

comedy. All bases covered! What can you tell us about it? The director

has been making lots of successful films, action or comic, it is the

first time he has taken us into the film, and he has tried to overlay it

with a romantic angle. It is a new thing for him. He can't get over the

action and comedy, he has that intact. Lots of cars flying around,

lots! Is that good for you? Actually, it was really bad, there

was a Bentley that got overturned. I felt so bad. I was having a heart

moment, when I saw those cars, blowing up.

We haven't been allowed to see it, but we have been lucky enough to get

one of the videos, because there are these beautiful songs in it, and we

have this lovely video of the Perak view in Iceland. Tell us what

happens. It isn't top secret, we haven't completed it! We are still

finishing it! Let's see it, let's have a look.

It is just so relaxing, you get lost in that vibe. It wasn't relaxing

there in Iceland at all. It was very cold. It was -5, and windy. And all

these locations are things you might have seen in other films like

Interstellar, and we said, let's go and shoot it there, it looks like it

is some other planet. We have done the songs on every Mountain. Every

beautiful location you can think of a nurse, we have done them all,

Egypt, Switzerland. It was cold and windy and wet, and most of the time

they had to touch up our noses because they were read throughout

the song. As well as all of the landscapes of the beautiful scenes,

we will be talking about what makes the perfect Bollywood movie a little

later on. And Dilwale is released here and worldwide on the 18th of

December. Every good film starts with a good

script. David, brings us a story of one

of the country's greatest novelists, Charles Dickens who,

we reckon, would have loved Indian Death, so they say, is the great

leveller. Even when it comes to the paperwork. This vast government

archive contains the last will and testament of generations of ordinary

British people, as well as the dying wishes of the great and good of

British history. The Private life of the man whose will I am on the hunt

for today would have made the perfect plot for one of his own

stories. This was a writer whose novels made him famous across the

world. He was the creator of some of the greatest characters of all time.

In here is the last will and testament of Charles Dickens. He

died aged 58 in 1869 a very wealthy man with an estate worth the

equivalent of ?50 million today. And on the first page, he leaves money

to all nine of his surviving children. But then at the bottom of

page two, he writes of his wife, a woman he had been married to for

over 30 years. I desire to simply record that my wife has been in

receipt from me of an annual income of ?600. That is around a third of

?1 million today. While all the great charges of a numerous and

expensive Amelie have been devolved holy upon myself. -- expensive

family. No thanks or expressions of affection. It is really harsh, just

laying out of their financial settlement. What is most intriguing

is that the very first person mentioned in the will is not his

wife or a member of his family, it is one Miss Ellen Lawless Turner,

who is left the sum of ?1000, that is around half ?1 million in today's

money. Who is Miss Ellen Lawless Turner? What is she doing in his

will? At the Charles Dickens Museum, his great-great-granddaughter,

Lucinda Hawksley, reveals the scandalous answer. He fell and laugh

with the young actress, Alan Turner. He was 45 when she was 18, and they

began a relationship which until the end of his life 13 years later. So

how does this affair in packed on the family? As his feelings for her

grew, he pushed Catherine out of his life and had a legal separation

drawn up. That explains why he gave Catherine the cold shoulder in his

will. And his ruthless streak was also evident in the way he dealt

with gossip about the affair. He went as far as publishing a

statement in his magazine. I must solemnly declare that all lately

whispered rumours are abominably false. He is so angry about it!

Charles Dickens could not allow himself in that society to be seen

as anything other than blameless. It would ruin him. And his reputation.

Yes, and that Ellen, and he wanted to protect her. Dickens even went so

far as to plan his own funeral with Ellen in mind, according to his

biographer, Michael Slater. It was done at seven in the morning with

minimal ceremony. You wouldn't know that there was necessarily a funeral

taking place, and certainly not that it was one of the most famous men in

England. In fact, The Times itself comments on this secrecy in the

report of the funeral, because it says, not a single person was aware

that that hearse was conveying to its last resting place all that was

mortal of Charles Dickens. There were 14 people in those three

coaches following the coffin, and only 13 people are named in The

Times report. So who was number 14? It must have been Ellen. So he did

find a way for her to attend? He wanted her to be at his funeral, and

that would have been impossible if it was a big, public funeral. It is

a wonderful Dickens plot in fact. His last and best plot, you could

say. And listen, watch out for Dickensian

en BBC One after Christmas. We went to the set, and it was lovely. We

are going to try to find out what the keys are to making a successful

Bollywood film, and Tommy is here again. Why should we all be watching

Bollywood movies? Because of lovely couples like this!

CHEERING These guys are being very humble and

gracious, and that is fine, but they let us escape. That is what any good

film is about, it is about escaping. And in Bollywood you get your

money's worth, because you have music, dancing, action, a couple of

love stories, and that is a principal!

So, we have boxes here, and on each box, names of things that are key

ingredients. I like death stare! In a big film, you need all of these

elements. So I am going to ask you, one Shah Rukh -- Kajol, to pick one.

Here we go. Let's talk about death stare. Look at the face! Death

stare! He does it very well, by the way. It is the power stare, it is

all about power. This is the disapproving father that doesn't

want him to be with a daughter. The death stare wasn't mine. It is a

double death stare! Can I choose roof jumping? How often does that

happen? As often as possible, even if there isn't a roof! Just running

and jumping. How many rooms have you jumped off

during your career? I have had nine surgeries. I reckon about 16-20, and

one of them about 160 feet long. Is that your favourite roof? That was

the scariest one. I have done a lot of jumping on air and stuff, and

every time I go there, I think, why am I doing this? I don't need to do

this! And then they put this window new, and it is like, you are such a

big star in such a big hero, and you don't want to tell them, I want to

direct now -- die right now. If you ever see me screaming in anger on a

roof jumping a Bollywood film, it isn't anger, it is fear!

The scale is something I finding credibly interesting, and when you

compare to what we are used to watching on television. Just talk us

through this train scene. This is how to people meet on a British

train. Look at how British people meet, it is understated. He is

turning the pages of his book. She might look up. This is how it is

done in Bollywood! He has even got all of his mates on

the train. No regard for health and safety. That is how he gets those

injuries. And that is how you get the babes, as well! That is

definitely my kind of train. You're kind of film and mine. If

we're talking about train jumping, I know one of your guys who does train

jumping as well, who has just released a film, James Bond. And he

gets all the chicks! Train jumping works, roof jumping works in every

type of sin. I think it is facing fear, as well.

Has he been taken in? I have been taken in, there was a hoot on a car

horn, and Bilal and his family called us in. Let me tell you, the

smell of the food from the kitchen, it is absolutely gorgeous. If this

was Smell-O-Vision, it you would be in heaven. What are you cooking?

Chicken today. There is a very handsome man in your living room.

I'm not talking about your husband, let's go and meet our special guest.

I am coming back to you lot. Listen, Shah Rukh is there. What would you

like to ask him? I'd like you to make another comedy movie. Will you

be making another comedy? A question to you, will you be making another

comedy? Yes, most certainly. I will make another comedy, not yet, right

now, but next year, I will. Most certainly. I like comedies. And back

to you. Next year there will be another comedy. It is coming your

way. I like a bit of comedy, and I want to learn some Bollywood. You,

young man, are a legend when it comes to dancing. Is that right?

Said before I go, I have to learn some traditional Bollywood dancing.

Can we do that? Come on, then! Is that how it goes?

Bollywood, I am no good at this! When you look at yourself from a

producer's perspective, what do you think you are best at? Acting? I

think, as much as I dislike it, romance. Oh, come on!
