and now we're down to the final nine.

The search for Britain's best young crew is getting serious.

Hello, and welcome to Alesha's Street Dance Stars. This is it.

The first of our semifinals.

Today, the first three crews will pull out all the stops

to try and secure a place in the grand final.

They'll perform two brand-new routines.

First, a street dance challenge with a musical twist

and the second, a brand-new street dance.

Are you ready for this, guys?

so to give them some encouragement

we've asked Friday Download star Aidan Davis to join them backstage,

so let's give a huge welcome to Aidan.

They're the kings and queens of street,

they know a dud move from a cool groove

and they'll be the first to tell you what's what.

Let's see what the judges said about today's semifinalists last time.

Now, Dwayne, this is the first of our semifinals,

the crews have prepared two routines, how will they have to up their game?

With the semis and finals, we'll be harder about things, you know?

-So they need to bring their A game.

As always, our judges are scoring on

Technique, Choreography and Showmanship.

In the event of a tie, Dwayne will decide who goes through.

Crews will be scored on both performances.

Their scores will be added and only the highest-scoring crew

will secure a place in the grand final.

Now, it's time to mix things up a bit.

We're kicking off today with the first of our music challenges.

We've asked the crews to perform a routine

to a new sound track. Today's challenge is African music.

Crews must street dance to a tribal beat

and bring an African flavour to the dance floor.

Aidan's been catching up with our first crew

to find out how they've got to grips with the Afro beat.

You'll remember these cheeky chaps

from the qualifiers - it's The Titanz!

Something I like is you use simple, but effective choreography,

so I'd say that I love it, but I want you to take it up a bit more.

Apart from that, that was sensational. I enjoyed it. Loved it.

-Lizzie, what did you think?

-I really enjoyed the way

you had your street dance with the African

and it had a '90s feel about it. I love your bogle.

I always do it the wrong way. I'm rubbish at it.

Maybe you can teach me again. But, awesome. Great.

-Turbo, what did you think?

-You guys are a powerful force, ain't you?

-One thing I did love,

I loved that beginning bit with the, "Titanz, boom-aya."

I was like, "Wow, you actual put that in there?"

And I thought you guys can give us a bit more as well -

you definitely can, but, guys - very, very good.

Girls, you're through to the semifinal. How excited are you?

When we found out we was absolutely buzzing, screaming and shouting.

It's just amazing to be here again.

Do you think it's been easier or harder than how you dance normally.

We found it's been a bit easier

just because we've been able to really let ourselves go with it.

Guys, I really enjoyed that piece, I have to say.

you started smiling. I was like, "You're getting into this."

I started doing this then Suzette started doing this.

I'm sure Lizzie and Dwayne started doing this.

OK, so you had me grooving. You had me getting down with you guys.

I feel that you guys could bring it out the bag a lot more,

but other than that, guys, very good. Loved the outfits.

-Fantastic. It was really good.

It was so much better than the first time when I saw you guys.

The intro that you guys had, it just went straight to the point

and that's what we need. We need straight to the point,

-That's why it's been so much fun.

It's been hard picking it up,

but I reckon it is worth it and it is a lot of fun.

OK, we'll start with Suzette. What did you think?

Yeah, the routines - I love the fact that you guys had the African feel.

I loved it from the start. You guys were clean and energetic.

-Lizzie, what did you think?

-What I loved about you guys

is you managed to put Africa together and street dance.

Like, the house section

was a perfect style to put in that routine and you did that.

You were clean but you're still free at the same time

and you found that element and put them together, so well done on that.

While we verify the scores, here's a quick reminder

of those superb performances.

All of our crews have done exceptionally well.

The judges have scored them for their African music performance

and those points will be added to their score at the end of the show.

Now it's time to move on to some serious street dance.

They were descried by Suzette as ones to watch out for

at the qualifiers. Lizzie went along to Coventry

to see them working on their technique and choreography.

Yes, you guessed it - it's The Titanz!

I'm really excited about doing a workshop with The Titanz

because they're so talented already.

I'm really excited at what they're going to bring next

because they've got so much charisma and showmanship.

Shall we get started?

The Titanz are really at a high standard with their breakdancing

and so much charisma that today I want to work on their technique

at their different street dance styles.

They work well together, they're all at the same level

and they are all willing to grow together.

Oh! I'm getting old.

Whoo! Every time you come back, you're stronger and stronger.

It's great.

I like that you introduced some other dance styles

like you had a tutting section.

The only thing with them, just work on your angles,

that's all I'll say. When you were doing it,

sometimes your hands were here instead of absolutely flat.

Other than that, you just never stop.

Suzette, what did you think?

You guys are very daring.

For a young age as well, you guys have nothing to fear,

you guys are fearless. It was just phenomenal. Amazing.

The only thing I can say is instead of just walking to your transitions,

just try and dance it out and stuff but that's it.

-Turbo, what did you think?

-Pyramid, full twist, ridiculous.

Bean twist over here, ridiculous. Synchronised flips, ridiculous.

You actually fused a bit of parkour in there

so you guys were flipping off each other's backs.

-Titanz, are you good? Yes.

Are you consistent? Yes. Did you raise the level?

How did it feel doing it?

Felt amazing, I was really scared before

but as soon as the music came on, it was...bam!

Our next crew were described as "strong, independent ladies"

by the judges at the qualifiers.

So Suzette went to Essex to join in with their rehearsals.

What I loved about these guys in the qualifiers

was they were an all-female dance crew

that brought dynamics on the dancefloor.

These girls were really clean, had loads of dynamic onstage

and their transitions were amazing.

But what I'll work with them today is dynamics

and more power within the moves.

Boom, tap, tap, yeah?

You have to do it with conviction. You need to be like this, like, yes.

I want to see you own it.

These are a bunch of feisty females.

If they go away remembering all the key elements I've told them,

they will be amazing for the semifinals.

Girls, from your last performance, what you showed us, now,

like, I could see your faces,

your energy went up, your showmanship went up,

your performance went up. Guys, you brought it to the stage.

One thing I have to also commend you guys on,

there was a section where you was in a circle and I think you was

doing like a spin and someone bounced into someone,

made a little mistake but then you automatically went, "Continue,"

and I loved that, the fact that didn't throw you off,

you still were professional, brought it to stage, gave us a performance.

Guys, very, very well done.

Dwayne, what did you think?

From beginning to end, you guys were good.

In the middle there was a point whereby I felt you

brought the energy down a bit. I think it was because you were

just giving us a bit of different flavours and all that stuff,

but still keep the oomph, that flavour. Well done, guys, well done.

Lizzie, what did you think?

I like that you had some tricks in there, like you did the handstand

-on to the back and then on with the femme style.

-Yeah.

You integrated tricks within choreography, that's creativity

so, brilliant, well done, keep it up.

Erm, like, we came in as a kind of tight kind of chilly-out group

at the qualifiers.
