of transforming your family set of wheels inside and out.

You might know me as a gamer,

but I'm also mad about motors.

So, I've put together a supercharging team -

my mechanic Rebecca

and cool car nerd Sideways Sid,

to makeover family cars across the UK -

and today we're helping a family in...

..Scarborough

save their old faithful

from the scrapheap.

Hi, I'm Oliver. I'm 12 years old

and I love taking photos.

This is my camera.

I take it everywhere I go -

I especially like taking snaps of the beach near our house.

This is my family.

There's my mum there, my dad, my older sister...Zoe

and my big brother Andrew.

This is Kit Kat and, a few weeks ago,

she gave birth to a litter of kittens.

This is Fury and he's my favourite.

MEOW!

Another huge part of our family is the car.

My mum and dad bought it 13 years ago, so it's even older than me.

On this side of the car, apparently, a wheelie bin jumped out on Dad...

..and my mum crashed the car into a wall at my friend's birthday party.

Why is our car covered in scratches and bumps?

Mum and Dad just can't drive!

My worst nightmare, if Oliver was going to supercharge the car,

would be to turn it into a pea.

I hate green.

Imagine turning up to school, Oliver, in a pea.

Ali-A, please help us supercharge our car.

My family don't have any idea of what I'm planning,

but I've got a real eye for what looks good.

I just can't wait to get creative.

So, guys, welcome to Superchargers.

Now, parents, how are you feeling about Oliver supercharging your car?

-Nervous.

-Nervous?

-Very nervous.

-Ooh! Is there anything you want him to avoid

when it comes to this whole supercharging process?

-Pink and fluffy.

So, is there anything going on at the front of the car

that we should be noting, that's not too good?

On that bit, there, the paint's started to flake away

-because we have got a lot of seagulls.

-Really?!

The seagulls have messed up the front a little bit.

Three of the windows don't work.

OK, that's not great.

Let's take a close look at this dent, Oliver, what's going on here?

Who's been driving the car, is it Mum or Dad?

-Mum.

-It's Mum, OK! OK, blaming Mum.

OK, come over here, Oliver,

because, on this tablet right here, we have our own Superchargers app.

The rest of the family won't be able to see this.

It's just between us.

This is one of my favourites - let me know what you think of it.

-You kind of like it?

-Yeah.

Yeah? OK. You're one of the first people to actually like that,

so I appreciate it.

I think it would be very embarrassing

having Ali-A's face all over the car,

but I don't want to sound rude to him.

What do you reckon about this one?

Yeah - if we had a cannon up top, it would look the part, wouldn't it?

If I were to make a green car, my mum would probably cry.

I'm very nervous of what's happening over there!

I'd like to create summat that my parents would like -

but I'm also doing it for me, as well.

Look at them. They have no idea what is going on.

This is amazing.

Mum's super-nervous, which is the best thing to watch.

I think we need to incorporate your pictures somehow into the car.

Maybe like a drop-down picture frame or something.

I'd dread it if there was photographs outside, or...

I was excited to meet Ali-A,

and I also loved the faces that Mum and Dad were pulling

when me and Ali-A were coming up with new ideas.

They were really worried.

I am really worried of the designs that was on the tablet.

There was a certain glint in Oliver's eye.

He worries me.

..a car vlogger and encyclopaedia of motors,

to help photo fanatic Oliver turn his heap into the car of his dreams.

So, Oliver, you might be wondering

why I've brought you here to this empty airstrip.

Well, this is Chris.

He does pictures for websites and car magazines.

-How are you doing, are you OK?

-Yeah.

Professional snapper Chris Frosin's incredible car images

have been published all over the world.

He's here today for a motor magazine photoshoot,

and to give Oliver a masterclass in what he does best.

-Oh!

-That's the car we're going to be shooting.

-Oh!

-Sound good?

-Yeah!

When I first saw the car,

I was really excited, because I've never seen anything like it.

I'm shaking!

Let's have a look at the car, then.

This is called an American muscle car

because of its powerful engine and beefed-up shape.

All that, plus tinted windows,

makes it look like a car from the movies.

Look at that wing! Ironing boards aren't even as big as that.

-I like the exhausts.

-You like the exhausts.

-Yeah.

I reckon that staring at this incredible car through a lens

is going to inspire Oliver's own design.

One of the things I look at when I'm photographing a car

is the outline of the car, the silhouette of the car

-and the roofline has got to be in a nice, clean position.

-Yeah.

So, if you have a look through there, is that central?

-Yeah.

-You've got a nice, clean roofline?

-Yep.

-Yeah?

Wow, that's really good, actually.

Something that I didn't know before

is that light is really important to making a car look good.

I want you to pay real attention to that reflection.

Different paints will give, like, different lights -

so it's really important to pick the right colour for the car,

to make it look even better.

That's epic.

That's the last static shot that we're going to do, OK?

My favourite part of the day

was probably doing the close-ups inside the car...

Spot on.

..because I got to sit inside a really posh car.

Oliver's photographed every inch of this mega motor -

but has its amazing look given him ideas for his own secret design?

After today's masterclass,

I think I could make the car stand out, like, really good, in a crowd.

I'm going to take home some brilliant ideas for the car.

Give me a little bit. Brilliant.

That was a total dream come true for Oliver.

I could just tell by the smile on his face -

but before Oliver can take what he learned from his masterclass

and put it into his family car's surprise design,

he needs to make it roadworthy again -

and Rebecca has some surprising news for him.

Your car is by far the worst we've ever had

-in the Superchargers workshop - so let's get going.

-Sounds good.

Er, it's not good news for your car, Oliver.

There are loads of issues with your car to choose from,

but the worst, in terms of safety, by far, are your brakes.

A car's brakes are made up of pads and discs.

The pad squeezes the disc

which slows the wheel down and eventually stops the car...

..but Oliver's brakes aren't working properly.

The brakes are hidden, so we need to take the wheel off.

-Are you ready to have a go?

-Yep.

Pop it on there.

Rebecca is an expert...

Excellent.

..so, please, don't try to fix your car on your own.

The brakes are really bad, so it wouldn't surprise me

if, when your mum or dad are braking,

the car is going, "Erghh..."

I just thought it was my dad's bad driving.

It was really good fixing the brakes with Rebecca...

We need to undo these two bolts here.

..but it was a bit fiddly, because there were lots of small parts.

If the brakes didn't work, then your car wouldn't stop.

Look at the state of that!

This is the new one...

-Yeah.

-..and this is the old one.

We have to line them up.

Brilliant work, Oliver.

Underneath here, you can see the engine mount -

and what it does is it keeps your engine stable.

Yours needs replacing - because look at me move it.

-I should not be able to do that.

-Yeah.

-There we are. Shall we put the new one on?

-Yeah.

I was really shocked

when I heard, like, the things that were wrong with it.

There we go.

I kind of expected some of them, but not all of them.

Your exhaust runs the full length of the car, and it's not attached.

-Shall we fix it?

-Yeah.

Some were really bad.

The hardest bit was probably holding up the exhaust,

because it was really heavy.

There we are.

Well, Oliver, I'm pleased to say

your car is now safe and ready for the next stage

of the Superchargers process.

Well done, you did a grand job.

So, it's time for Oliver to transform his family car

from clapped-out banger into a standout set of wheels.

At home in Scarborough, Oliver's getting busy.

The day I spent with Chris the photographer

really made me think about the photos I've taken.

This picture I really like,

because you can see all the colours of the chalets.

Ali-A mentioned getting photos in the car design.

I'm not going to use that one.

Too much green.

I thought he meant putting them on the outside.

This one I'd really like -

but I think I've found a way of putting them on the inside.

I'm glad to hear Oliver's taken my idea on board.

I can't wait to see what else he's come up with.

From the inspiration day,

I learnt that light can change the colour of the car and how it looks.

I really like the wrap, it changed colour where you're standing.

OK. So, something like this?

Yeah. Well, I'm not really into that one...

Ooh, I like that one.

Ooh, sophisticated choice!

Depending on the light,

this wrap changes subtly from one colour to the next.

What didn't you want again, Mum and Dad?

-Anything pink, basically.

-Or green.

Oh, it's both - and more!

This could be interesting.

Oliver's picked smart black and blue seat covers, shiny new black wheels,

and he's also decided to tint his windows black

just like the car he photographed.

We've got our little film.

Here's the liquid solution gun.

You're going to spray it at the window.

Get it nice and wet.

This spray is a mixture of water and baby shampoo...

Spray that, too.

..so you can tint your windows, and then wash your hair!

I really did like wrapping the tinted windows.

I'll hold them in place, and you're going to wipe it down.

A little bit fiddly, but I really liked doing it.

Awesome.

Good job, Oliver -

but Sid's got a special surprise for our photo fan.

It's a camera case, so you can keep it nice and safe.

He's come back from the makeover saying that the car is very unique,

where today we're going to be revealing Oliver's brand-new car -

and I'm very excited.

Now, Oliver, this is a Superchargers certificate.

The car is all good to hit the road -

but what was your family car like when you first brought it here

to the Superchargers headquarters?

It was chipped, it was rusting.

It needed a bit of work, basically, didn't it?

How do you feel about the final supercharged car?

-I really like it.

-Awesome.

So, Mum and Dad, what do you really not want to see on the car

-when we take a look at it?

-I don't want it to be green.

Dad, what about you, what are you thinking?

As long as it's not pink and fluffy.

with a gorgeous colour-changing wrap.

Everyone's going to be looking at them on the road

with a wrap like that.

I think the colour-change wrap is absolutely brilliant -

and there is a little bit of green in it, but it's acceptable.

I like the leather seats in the car.

It's very good.

Also, easy to clean in the back, as well,

when he's spilling his crisps and his drinks.

The cushions are genuinely my favourite thing about the car.

-Having a bit of Oliver and his ideas is just amazing.

-Yeah.

That's the part I'm most proud of.

It's good to have the car back.

I really missed it.

It does stand out. People notice it.

Oh, look at that car there!

I just love the colour -

and everybody sees it differently.

I really like the tinted windows.

That just adds a little bit of class.

and we're going to look after it forever.
