Goodbye, old banger! | 0:01:06 | 0:01:08
I was about 50% nervous. I'm going to 60 now. | 0:01:08 | 0:01:10
Three, two, one... | 0:01:10 | 0:01:13
-ALL: -Open the door! | 0:01:13 | 0:01:15
-Ohhhh! -Look at it! | 0:01:16 | 0:01:19
Hold on tight, this is Superchargers. | 0:01:19 | 0:01:23
Hello and welcome to the show that puts you in charge | 0:01:31 | 0:01:35
of transforming your set of wheels from bonnet to exhaust. | 0:01:35 | 0:01:39
You might know me as a gamer, but I'm also mad about motors. | 0:01:39 | 0:01:43
So, I've put together a supercharging team, | 0:01:43 | 0:01:46
mechanic Rebecca and cool car nerd Sideways Sid, | 0:01:46 | 0:01:50
to makeover family cars across the UK. | 0:01:50 | 0:01:54
And today, we're helping a family in Cornwall | 0:01:54 | 0:01:58
fix up a rather unusual vehicle that they could not live without. | 0:01:58 | 0:02:02
My name's Sonny, I'm aged 11, and I love surfing and dance. | 0:02:06 | 0:02:10
-This is my mum. -Hi! | 0:02:13 | 0:02:16
And this is my brother. | 0:02:16 | 0:02:17
I'm Joby and I'm eight! | 0:02:17 | 0:02:19
Joby also loves catching waves, and we often go to the beach together. | 0:02:19 | 0:02:22
This is my van, an ex-Royal Mail post van. | 0:02:25 | 0:02:28
The back bumper is held on with gaffer tape. | 0:02:30 | 0:02:32
These seats can be very uncomfortable | 0:02:32 | 0:02:34
as there are springs sticking into our backs, | 0:02:34 | 0:02:37
and that's not good. | 0:02:37 | 0:02:39
Last time the van went into the MOT, | 0:02:39 | 0:02:42
the mechanic said there was loads of problems under the bonnet. | 0:02:42 | 0:02:45
And if we can't afford to get it fixed, we're really in trouble, | 0:02:45 | 0:02:48
because in the countryside, there are no bus routes near us. | 0:02:48 | 0:02:51
Mum, what would you do without the van? | 0:02:51 | 0:02:54
-Would you miss him? -Oh, yeah, I'd really miss him. | 0:02:54 | 0:02:56
And we totally rely on it, of course. | 0:02:56 | 0:02:58
What do you think would be the worst thing I could do to it? | 0:02:58 | 0:03:01
Make it really bright coloured. | 0:03:01 | 0:03:03
I think I'd feel quite embarrassed | 0:03:03 | 0:03:05
driving round in something like that. | 0:03:05 | 0:03:07
Ali-A, please help us | 0:03:07 | 0:03:08
supercharge the van. | 0:03:08 | 0:03:09
We've got lots of good ideas | 0:03:09 | 0:03:11
to turn it into something awesome, | 0:03:11 | 0:03:13
and I know Mum will like it in the end. | 0:03:13 | 0:03:16
So, guys, welcome to Superchargers. | 0:03:22 | 0:03:25
Now, Mum, you're going to be leaving this van | 0:03:25 | 0:03:27
in the capable hands of Sonny, so how are you feeling? | 0:03:27 | 0:03:30
Now I'm actually here, it's hitting me what's going to happen. | 0:03:30 | 0:03:33
Yeah, pretty nervous. | 0:03:33 | 0:03:34
I'm normally in control of everything in our family, | 0:03:34 | 0:03:37
so it's quite weird handing over the reins. | 0:03:37 | 0:03:40
Joby, how are you feeling about it? | 0:03:40 | 0:03:42
Really excited. | 0:03:42 | 0:03:43
We need to get more of an in-depth look at it, | 0:03:43 | 0:03:45
so if you come over here, Sonny, | 0:03:45 | 0:03:46
I'm going to grab my little vlogging camera and make you do | 0:03:46 | 0:03:49
a bit of a tour of the car for us, OK? | 0:03:49 | 0:03:51
When you go round to the front, it's pretty much pink. | 0:03:51 | 0:03:54
Oh, yeah, look at that. It's completely faded. | 0:03:54 | 0:03:56
I can see we've got a little bit of missing parts here... | 0:03:56 | 0:03:59
-Yeah. -We've got a few dents at the bottom here. -Lots of scratches. | 0:03:59 | 0:04:02
Look, we've got some plants growing here as well. | 0:04:02 | 0:04:05
I've noticed there's actually nothing covering the wheels either. | 0:04:05 | 0:04:08
Nice. What do you get up to in the back of the car? | 0:04:10 | 0:04:12
A lot of the time, eat meals in here. | 0:04:12 | 0:04:14
Fish and chips is one of the main meals. | 0:04:14 | 0:04:16
So, literally like a portable home, almost. | 0:04:16 | 0:04:19
-Yeah. -Nice. | 0:04:19 | 0:04:20
So, Sonny, there's lots of bits and bobs | 0:04:21 | 0:04:23
that we are going to be working on for sure, | 0:04:23 | 0:04:25
but for the moment, | 0:04:25 | 0:04:27
it is our turn to do a little bit of brainstorming. | 0:04:27 | 0:04:29
Only you and I will be able to see this. | 0:04:29 | 0:04:32
This is quite funky. | 0:04:32 | 0:04:33
Whoa-ho-ho! Good reactions. | 0:04:33 | 0:04:35
-Yummy, but no. -Ooh, yummy. | 0:04:37 | 0:04:39
They're getting pointers here. | 0:04:39 | 0:04:41
Most of his ideas were completely bonkers. | 0:04:41 | 0:04:43
I just want to see what you're doing. | 0:04:43 | 0:04:45
You can't. This is between us guys. | 0:04:45 | 0:04:47
Well, I think she's feeling pretty nervous, | 0:04:47 | 0:04:49
because she's just got no idea what's going on. | 0:04:49 | 0:04:52
What about... This is quite cool. | 0:04:52 | 0:04:53
Oh, yeah, that's really nice. | 0:04:53 | 0:04:55
You like that? OK, that is awesome. | 0:04:55 | 0:04:57
-That is... -I want to see it. -That is your favourite so far? | 0:04:57 | 0:05:00
-Yeah. -OK, nice one. | 0:05:00 | 0:05:01
I could see Sonny's reactions only, | 0:05:01 | 0:05:03
so it's really hard for me to know | 0:05:03 | 0:05:05
what he was being shown. | 0:05:05 | 0:05:06
Mum, what would you definitely not want to happen to your precious van? | 0:05:06 | 0:05:10
I would be really embarrassed if it was really flash. | 0:05:10 | 0:05:13
Remember, this is all up to you, Sonny, so ignore Mum. | 0:05:13 | 0:05:16
We'll make this happen. | 0:05:16 | 0:05:17
-So, I'm going to grab the key. -OK. Please look after it. | 0:05:17 | 0:05:20
There we go. We will look after it, don't worry. | 0:05:20 | 0:05:22
The power is now in our hands. | 0:05:22 | 0:05:23
The next time Mum sees her van, | 0:05:24 | 0:05:26
Sonny will have completely supercharged its look. | 0:05:26 | 0:05:29
I'm excited about it all getting started, | 0:05:29 | 0:05:31
but I kind of almost want to fast forward | 0:05:31 | 0:05:33
so that we can just see what we end up with. | 0:05:33 | 0:05:35
She doesn't know what I've got up here. | 0:05:37 | 0:05:39
That's right, Sonny. | 0:05:39 | 0:05:40
From now on, it's just between you and my team. | 0:05:40 | 0:05:44
Back in Cornwall, Sonny's busy doing his thing. | 0:05:46 | 0:05:50
As you can probably see, I'm at the beach. It's a lovely day. | 0:05:50 | 0:05:53
Such good surf today, and I really want to get in. | 0:05:53 | 0:05:56
While he hits the waves, | 0:05:56 | 0:05:57
Mum's freaking out that her old postal van is gone for good. | 0:05:57 | 0:06:01
So, it's just started really hitting me that I've let Sonny take control. | 0:06:01 | 0:06:06
I just don't know what it's going to be like. | 0:06:06 | 0:06:07
Is it going to be really embarrassing to drive around? | 0:06:07 | 0:06:10
Am I going to love it? | 0:06:10 | 0:06:11
Mum's imagining the worst, but brother Joby is just imagining. | 0:06:13 | 0:06:18
If it was my design... | 0:06:18 | 0:06:21
Rocket boosters so I could fly into space. | 0:06:21 | 0:06:24
Make it an amphibious vehicle. | 0:06:24 | 0:06:26
Give it wings. Big monster truck wheels. | 0:06:26 | 0:06:29
If Sonny's secret design is half as good as his surf skills | 0:06:29 | 0:06:33
and dancing, his family's in for a treat. | 0:06:33 | 0:06:35
I've lined up my mate Sideways Sid... | 0:06:42 | 0:06:44
-Hello, folks. -..a car vlogger and encyclopaedia of motors, | 0:06:44 | 0:06:48
to help beach-mad Sonny with his van's new look. | 0:06:48 | 0:06:51
So, he's brought him to meet designer Ben Skinner | 0:06:51 | 0:06:54
to make his own surfboard. | 0:06:54 | 0:06:56
Sonny, this is Ben. | 0:06:56 | 0:06:58
Ben, this is Sonny. | 0:06:58 | 0:06:59
-Sonny, how are you doing, mate? -Yeah, I'm good. | 0:06:59 | 0:07:01
So, you might be wondering why I've brought you to a surfboard designer | 0:07:01 | 0:07:04
when you should really be designing your own car. | 0:07:04 | 0:07:06
Well, me and Ali-A put our heads together and thought you could | 0:07:06 | 0:07:09
incorporate some surfboard designs into your very own car. | 0:07:09 | 0:07:12
-What do you reckon? -Yeah. | 0:07:12 | 0:07:14
Yeah? Sounds awesome? | 0:07:14 | 0:07:16
-Yeah. -Let's get started. | 0:07:16 | 0:07:17
Having my own surfboard custom-made for me | 0:07:17 | 0:07:20
has literally been my dream all of my life. | 0:07:20 | 0:07:24
Sonny didn't know he'd be designing his own board today, | 0:07:24 | 0:07:27
but he's already been working on some ideas for the van. | 0:07:27 | 0:07:29
Those three colours I've used to make all of these. | 0:07:29 | 0:07:33
Like a sort of ocean design. | 0:07:33 | 0:07:34
Those are great, yeah. | 0:07:34 | 0:07:35
I'm going to make a wave. | 0:07:35 | 0:07:38
Ben has hooked Sonny up with his illustrator Verdii | 0:07:38 | 0:07:40
to turn those colours into the surfboard design of his dreams, | 0:07:40 | 0:07:44
and maybe match it to the van. | 0:07:44 | 0:07:45
It's coming together really nice. | 0:07:45 | 0:07:47
Can you see it on your mum's van? | 0:07:48 | 0:07:50
I am actually really liking this design. | 0:07:50 | 0:07:52
This is where your board starts. | 0:08:06 | 0:08:07
The hardest part was definitely making the board thin and smooth. | 0:08:11 | 0:08:16
Really good, mate. Really good. | 0:08:16 | 0:08:18
ALI-A: I am loving those ocean colours! | 0:08:20 | 0:08:22
It's a really nice metallic blue, and it's exactly what I wanted. | 0:08:22 | 0:08:25
Good choice, Sonny. | 0:08:25 | 0:08:26
My favourite part was definitely spraying the board. | 0:08:26 | 0:08:29
It was just incredible. | 0:08:29 | 0:08:31
If your van looks half as good as this, | 0:08:31 | 0:08:34
then it's going to look absolutely mega. | 0:08:34 | 0:08:37
I can't wait to see the finished board, | 0:08:37 | 0:08:39
or exactly how Sonny uses his design on his van. | 0:08:39 | 0:08:42
Wow, what an inspiring day for surfer Sonny. | 0:08:47 | 0:08:50
And how cool that his board is going to totally complement his van? | 0:08:50 | 0:08:54
That is totally rad, dude. | 0:08:54 | 0:08:55
But before Sonny can bring those design ideas to life, | 0:08:59 | 0:09:03
he needs to make sure his old post van is roadworthy. | 0:09:03 | 0:09:07
So, I brought in my mechanic Rebecca, | 0:09:07 | 0:09:09
a-car mad racing driver... | 0:09:09 | 0:09:12
..who's never happier than when up to her neck in oil. | 0:09:12 | 0:09:17
What a fantastic family vehicle you have. | 0:09:17 | 0:09:20
Yeah, it's pretty good. | 0:09:20 | 0:09:21
I've checked over every inch of it, | 0:09:21 | 0:09:23
and there's a few issues that we can fix together today. | 0:09:23 | 0:09:26
-Are you up for that? -Yeah, that would be cool. | 0:09:26 | 0:09:28
One of the biggest problems with your van | 0:09:31 | 0:09:33
is the shock absorbers have completely worn out. | 0:09:33 | 0:09:36
Shock absorbers are part of a car's suspension. | 0:09:36 | 0:09:40
They work with big springs to keep the car steady. | 0:09:40 | 0:09:43
If the spring was on its own, the car would bounce all over the place. | 0:09:43 | 0:09:47
The shock absorber stabilises the springing motion, | 0:09:47 | 0:09:51
giving a far more comfortable ride. | 0:09:51 | 0:09:53
Each wheel has its own shock absorber, | 0:09:54 | 0:09:56
so we have to get the van up in the air for a look. | 0:09:56 | 0:09:59
Can you see, it's leaking? | 0:10:00 | 0:10:01
-Yeah. -So, it's not really doing what it's supposed to do any more. | 0:10:01 | 0:10:05
We need to undo this bolt and this bolt. | 0:10:05 | 0:10:08
Before I got to the workshop, I felt a bit nervous, | 0:10:08 | 0:10:11
but as soon as I arrived, all the confidence just came into me. | 0:10:11 | 0:10:14
Ah, there we go. | 0:10:16 | 0:10:18
So, we've just pulled out the shock absorber, and as you can see, | 0:10:18 | 0:10:22
-it's a bit... -Disgusting. | 0:10:22 | 0:10:25
-It's leaking, isn't it? -Yeah. It's leaking all over the place. | 0:10:25 | 0:10:28
This is the new one. | 0:10:28 | 0:10:30
We need to feed it up here. | 0:10:30 | 0:10:31
It was quite tricky putting on the shock absorber, | 0:10:34 | 0:10:36
but it was great fun. | 0:10:36 | 0:10:38
You're doing a grand job. | 0:10:40 | 0:10:42
Ah, I jinxed you! | 0:10:42 | 0:10:45
Spoke too soon. | 0:10:45 | 0:10:46
Rebecca's an expert, | 0:10:46 | 0:10:48
so please don't try to fix your car on your own. | 0:10:48 | 0:10:51
OK, new shock absorber. | 0:10:51 | 0:10:53
Brill. | 0:10:53 | 0:10:55
I feel like the van's going to be a lot safer to drive | 0:11:03 | 0:11:06
now that we've fixed all of our problems. | 0:11:06 | 0:11:09
So, after some great work on the shock absorbers, | 0:11:11 | 0:11:15
Sonny's learned a thing or two about how a car works. | 0:11:15 | 0:11:17
So, it's time for him to turn his thoughts back | 0:11:17 | 0:11:20
to his surprise final design. | 0:11:20 | 0:11:22
Here's a quick sneak peek of what's coming up. | 0:11:22 | 0:11:25
Sid's got a surprise for Sonny. | 0:11:26 | 0:11:29
What do you think? | 0:11:29 | 0:11:31
And what will Mum and brother Joby think | 0:11:31 | 0:11:34
when they see their transformed van? | 0:11:34 | 0:11:36
-ALL: -Open the door! | 0:11:36 | 0:11:38
I can't wait. | 0:11:42 | 0:11:43
And for more of Ali-A's Superchargers, | 0:11:43 | 0:11:45

-You ready? -Yes. -Let's do this. -They're ready, let's do it. | 0:11:59 | 0:12:02
CAR HORN HONKS A TUNE | 0:12:02 | 0:12:04
Sid coming in there. | 0:12:08 | 0:12:10
Olly Murs, You Don't Know Love. | 0:12:10 | 0:12:12
-Ah, well done! -Well done. | 0:12:12 | 0:12:13
That's a good guess. | 0:12:13 | 0:12:14
And there's more song honking action over on the CBBC website, | 0:12:14 | 0:12:19
so go and check it out. | 0:12:19 | 0:12:21
Aaargh! | 0:12:21 | 0:12:22
Back in Cornwall, Sonny's realised | 0:12:23 | 0:12:25
just how much his van is part of everyday life. | 0:12:25 | 0:12:28
My family love going to the beach and surfing and mucking about. | 0:12:29 | 0:12:33
And we love eating fish and chips at the end of the day. | 0:12:38 | 0:12:40
But it's really not the same without our family van. | 0:12:40 | 0:12:42
Enjoy your chips, Sonny. | 0:12:45 | 0:12:46
So, Mum, how are you feeling about the whole process? | 0:12:46 | 0:12:49
We're missing our baby van. | 0:12:49 | 0:12:51
And not being quite so windblown would be nice. | 0:12:51 | 0:12:54
Joby, how are you feeling about the whole thing? | 0:12:54 | 0:12:56
I'm feeling hungry. | 0:12:56 | 0:12:58
I've decided I definitely want something | 0:12:58 | 0:13:01
where we can sit in the van and eat our fish and chips in the warmth, | 0:13:01 | 0:13:04
-watching the sea out the window. -Have fun! | 0:13:04 | 0:13:07
Time for Sonny to see his beachtastic ideas come to life. | 0:13:18 | 0:13:22
And I've brought in designer Shawn to help. | 0:13:22 | 0:13:25
What colour would you like the van? | 0:13:25 | 0:13:27
I think, like, a light sort of turquoisey-blue, which would... | 0:13:27 | 0:13:30
I think that would be pretty cool. | 0:13:30 | 0:13:31
-Yeah, this one? -Oh, yeah, that looks really nice. Yeah. | 0:13:31 | 0:13:34
Ah, I see what Sonny's doing. | 0:13:34 | 0:13:36
He really is going to match the van with the ocean colours | 0:13:36 | 0:13:39
on his new surfboard. | 0:13:39 | 0:13:40
-SID: -Yes, Ali, and he's not finished yet. | 0:13:40 | 0:13:43
With the waves... | 0:13:43 | 0:13:45
Like, a little bit dark blue at the bottom, | 0:13:45 | 0:13:47
so, like, the dark blue fading to the green, fading to the light blue, | 0:13:47 | 0:13:52
and then the blue background. | 0:13:52 | 0:13:53
-Yeah? -Yeah, that's a really nice final design. -Excellent. | 0:13:53 | 0:13:57
My worst fear for the van would be really shockingly bright coloured | 0:13:57 | 0:14:02
so that we'd stand out and get stared at everywhere we drove. | 0:14:02 | 0:14:05
Bold blue and green waves? | 0:14:07 | 0:14:09
I'd say that's pretty stand-out! | 0:14:09 | 0:14:11
Sonny, you're a brave boy. | 0:14:11 | 0:14:12
Sonny's replaced his broken seats with comfy new ones... | 0:14:15 | 0:14:18
..and added a deck chair-inspired cover to fit his surfmobile theme. | 0:14:20 | 0:14:23
But the best part of Sonny's design is yet to come. | 0:14:28 | 0:14:31
A personalised beach-themed interior. | 0:14:31 | 0:14:35
From the pebble-patterned floor to the sky blue ceiling, | 0:14:35 | 0:14:38
Sonny's chosen everything to match his family's seaside lifestyle. | 0:14:38 | 0:14:43
I really love the fact that it's going to have storage for wet suits, | 0:14:43 | 0:14:48
beach towels. | 0:14:48 | 0:14:49
There you are. | 0:14:53 | 0:14:54
There we are, yes! All sorted. | 0:14:54 | 0:14:56
Now we've got, like, a full table so we can all fit in. | 0:14:56 | 0:15:00
We could eat our fish and chips watching the sunset. | 0:15:00 | 0:15:04
It'll just be amazing. | 0:15:04 | 0:15:05
But there's one thing that's almost as important to Sonny | 0:15:05 | 0:15:09
as his family van. | 0:15:09 | 0:15:10
It's your surfboard that you created with Ben Skinner. | 0:15:10 | 0:15:13
-What do you think? -What?! | 0:15:13 | 0:15:14
-This is amazing! -So we've got the storage. | 0:15:15 | 0:15:18
You can put it in place. | 0:15:18 | 0:15:19
Fits perfectly. | 0:15:21 | 0:15:23
Now, all that's left... | 0:15:27 | 0:15:28
-Whoa! -..is to add the finishing touches. | 0:15:28 | 0:15:31
Our van's really special to us. | 0:15:33 | 0:15:35
We don't have any other vehicle. | 0:15:35 | 0:15:37
Mum's never had, like, the money or the time to do up the van. | 0:15:37 | 0:15:41
It's just been great. | 0:15:41 | 0:15:42
You worked really hard today, Sonny. | 0:15:44 | 0:15:46
Happy with the result? | 0:15:47 | 0:15:49
I'm really loving it. | 0:15:49 | 0:15:50
I think my brother's going to love it too. | 0:15:50 | 0:15:52
I'm not sure about my mum. | 0:15:52 | 0:15:53
I think all this blue is going to be a bit, like, overwhelming for her. | 0:15:53 | 0:15:57
Welcome back, everyone, to the Superchargers headquarters, | 0:16:09 | 0:16:12
where we're about to reveal Sonny's brand-new Supercharged post van | 0:16:12 | 0:16:17
and I am so excited. | 0:16:17 | 0:16:19
First of all, Sonny, | 0:16:19 | 0:16:20
I'd like to present you with the Superchargers MOT. | 0:16:20 | 0:16:23
This is to let you guys know that the car's road safe, | 0:16:23 | 0:16:25
legal and perfect to drive. | 0:16:25 | 0:16:27
So, Sonny, why don't you remind us | 0:16:27 | 0:16:28
what was your van like when you first brought it to us? | 0:16:28 | 0:16:30
My van was very tatty, quite scruffy. | 0:16:30 | 0:16:34
-The paint was fading pink. -What about Mum and your brother? | 0:16:34 | 0:16:38
How do you think they're going to feel | 0:16:38 | 0:16:40
when we reveal this car in just a few moments? | 0:16:40 | 0:16:42
I think Joby will really like it. | 0:16:42 | 0:16:45
Mum, I'm not so sure. | 0:16:45 | 0:16:48
-I don't know. -Oooh! Mum, having heard that, how are you feeling now? | 0:16:48 | 0:16:51
-Are you a little bit nervous? -Um... I am now. | 0:16:51 | 0:16:54
That's made me really nervous. | 0:16:54 | 0:16:56
Ohhh! Are you guys ready? | 0:16:56 | 0:16:58
-ALL: -Yes. -OK, three, two, one. | 0:16:58 | 0:17:01
-ALL: -Open the door! | 0:17:01 | 0:17:04
The suspense! | 0:17:04 | 0:17:05
Whoa! | 0:17:10 | 0:17:12 | |
That is certainly different to when it first came in, isn't it? | 0:17:12 | 0:17:15
-Totally. -Wow! | 0:17:15 | 0:17:16
SHE LAUGHS | 0:17:16 | 0:17:18
You liking what you're seeing so far as well? | 0:17:21 | 0:17:23
-So far, so good. -OK, still a little bit nervous for the rest of the van? | 0:17:23 | 0:17:27
I am. | 0:17:27 | 0:17:28 | |
Sonny's motor's been transformed from faded postal van | 0:17:28 | 0:17:32
to surftastic coastal van. | 0:17:32 | 0:17:36
And there's not a patch of moss in sight. | 0:17:36 | 0:17:38
Should we go in and take a closer look | 0:17:38 | 0:17:40
-and see what else is in the car? -Yeah. -OK, let's do it, guys! | 0:17:40 | 0:17:42
-Look at this. -Wow! | 0:17:45 | 0:17:47
It looks amazing. Joby, what do you think? | 0:17:47 | 0:17:49
Do you like the designs going on here? | 0:17:49 | 0:17:50
-Yeah. -Surf-inspired, right, Sonny? | 0:17:50 | 0:17:53
We have brand-new seats. | 0:17:54 | 0:17:57
Wow! Can't wait to sit in it. | 0:17:57 | 0:17:59
Now you're excited, Mum. | 0:17:59 | 0:18:00
Outside, Sonny's chosen colours inspired by the ocean. | 0:18:03 | 0:18:07
But inside, this motor's even more wow factor! | 0:18:07 | 0:18:11
The surfboard and the van are perfectly matched, | 0:18:11 | 0:18:14
and Sonny has also added a seating area for those family meals. | 0:18:14 | 0:18:18
MUM GASPS | 0:18:18 | 0:18:20
Oh, my goodness! | 0:18:20 | 0:18:21
Wow, look at this! | 0:18:21 | 0:18:23
Sonny, why don't you let them know everything that's changed | 0:18:23 | 0:18:26
and everything that's new and is completely transformed? | 0:18:26 | 0:18:28
Inside here, we lift this up. | 0:18:28 | 0:18:31
There's a storage area. | 0:18:31 | 0:18:32
-Brilliant. -This one is for my surfboard. | 0:18:32 | 0:18:36
That's crazy! | 0:18:36 | 0:18:38
Wow! | 0:18:38 | 0:18:39 | |
-This... -Salt and vinegar! | 0:18:42 | 0:18:43
You guys love your fish and chips. | 0:18:43 | 0:18:45
We had to do it. Mum, how about you? | 0:18:45 | 0:18:47
-How are you feeling? -I'm still in shock, actually. | 0:18:47 | 0:18:50
I'm just trying to take it all in. | 0:18:50 | 0:18:51
It does feel very, very different. | 0:18:51 | 0:18:53
You just need to head to the beach straightaway, | 0:18:53 | 0:18:55
and to do that, you guys are going to need the keys. | 0:18:55 | 0:18:57
-So here you go. -Brilliant. | 0:18:57 | 0:18:58
-Thank you very much. -The power is back in your hands. | 0:18:58 | 0:19:01
Sonny came in with an ex-postal van, | 0:19:03 | 0:19:05
and has completely transformed it into the surfmobile of his dreams. | 0:19:05 | 0:19:10
I'll see you all next time, and all that's left to do | 0:19:11 | 0:19:14
is let them drive away in their brand-new surfmobile. | 0:19:14 | 0:19:16
I love the glittery, shimmery bit of it. | 0:19:18 | 0:19:21
And the big table with the cupboards underneath is brilliant. | 0:19:21 | 0:19:25
I felt really excited when I saw the van, | 0:19:27 | 0:19:31
because now it's the ultimate beachmobile. | 0:19:31 | 0:19:34
I can't wait to put this van on the road, drive it to the beach, | 0:19:36 | 0:19:40
get my board, start riding the waves. | 0:19:40 | 0:19:42
We certainly won't be missed now. | 0:19:48 | 0:19:50
Wherever we go, everyone will know we're coming. | 0:19:50 | 0:19:53
All my mates are going, "Whoa! Is that your van?" | 0:19:53 | 0:19:56
And I'm like, "Yes, that is." | 0:19:56 | 0:19:59
HORN HONKS | 0:19:59 | 0:20:00
I just feel like so much love's gone into it, | 0:20:00 | 0:20:03
so it's made me really love it. | 0:20:03 | 0:20:05
Always thinking about my mum. | 0:20:05 | 0:20:08 |
