of transforming your family wagon both inside and out.

You might know me as a gamer,

but I'm also car crazy,

so me and my team - mechanic Rebecca

and cool car nerd Sideways Sid -

are on a mission,

to supercharge family vehicles all across the UK,

and today, we're in...

Cardiff, meeting a bog-standard banger

who's become a big part of the family.

Hi, I'm Yasmin, I'm 11 years old,

I like singing, baking and tae kwon do.

Hi, I'm Eslam, I'm 13 years old,

I like basketball, music and eating.

This is my mum, Summer,

this is my stepdad, Stevie...

..and this is Big Red Hulk.

We really rely on it to take us to all of our sports clubs

and competitions.

There are all these dents and marks on the car.

This is our wing mirror.

Look at that! I can stick my hand right in it.

Look at all these marks.

Oh, this is rubbish.

The inside's even worse.

If you look at these seats,

they're all going a funny colour and my mum thinks it's going mouldy.

Plus we store all of our tae kwon do kit in the boot.

It really stinks.

For some reason, the boot is not opening...

Um, it's definitely unlocked.

The car is unlocked.

and want to keep him in our family for ages.

He really needs a makeover, but we don't know anything about cars.

and all the little bumps and lumps removed.

-I think that mirror is ready to fall out at any second.

We're going to have to put some air fresheners in there,

something to make it smell a little bit nicer.

We got it for free from, like, this arts and craft shop.

We get to work on the design of the car together.

No, it doesn't really have the Big Red Hulk feel to it, does it?

We need to keep that, that's a very good point.

and I think that one was really good,

-cos we're a sporty family.

I'll be honest, I'm having trouble letting go of Big Red Hulk,

but hopefully he'll be better than he ever was next time we see him.

What is it like being a racing driver?

Really good fun.

I get such a buzz from competing with other cars, other drivers.

How do you feel when, like, you're the only girl racing?

Once we put our crash helmets on,

it doesn't matter whether you're a girl or a boy.

We're all racing drivers.

Would you two like to sit in the car?

-BOTH:

-Yeah!

OK, Yasmin first.

This is my dashboard.

That tells me what my lap time is

and also tells me if there's a problem with the car.

How fast does it go?

It goes very fast.

It's not the easiest to get in and out,

but I think that kind of works.

Eslam, your go.

I like the feel of the steering wheel.

Do you think that Big Red Hulk would benefit

from a sporty steering wheel?

-Yeah, totally.

-Yeah.

-It might have stripes on it, as well.

-I mean, that's pretty epic.

Time for Yasmin and Eslam to get some last-minute styling tips

for Big Red Hulk's sporty design -

and they're immediately drawn to one particular colour.

This car behind us, I really like that shade of red.

What do you think, Yas?

-Yeah, I like it.

-I'm really liking that.

It sounds like these two need to work out how much their car's name

is going to influence their final design decisions.

Back home, Yasmin and Eslam's ideas are coming thick and fast

after their trip to the track...

We want, like, really shiny wheels.

We want to try and get hubcaps, as well.

-Yeah.

-Which are basically like...

-Covers.

..wheel caps that cover the wheels.

Pretty epic. I don't know if we'll be able to get them, though.

..but the secrecy is starting to worry Mum and Steve.

They do a lot of whispering, so maybe they've had more ideas.

It's quite funny, they'll have a little conversation

in the corner of the room, they'll go quiet and both their heads pop up

like meerkats looking around

and then they'll scuttle off out the room.

It looks like Yasmin and Eslam's day at the track

gave them tons of ideas,

but before their secret design decisions can be made,

Rebecca's meeting them at the superchargers workshop.

The biggest problem with Big Red Hulk are his tyres.

There's a really simple test you do to see if your tyres are completely

worn out. You put a 20p piece

in between the patterns

and the edge,

if you can see it, that means your tyres could be unsafe.

-Would you like to have a go?

-Yeah.

They are borderline, aren't they?

-Shall we get them changed?

-Yeah.

A smooth tyre is dangerous as it slides across rather than grips the

road if it's wet. The cut pattern, or tread,

has been cleverly designed to stop that happening.

The water is pulled into the grooves and away from the surface

of the tyre, so it can keep a firm grip on the road.

So we're now removing the tyre, as you can see.

-Yasmin, I've got some universal tyre mounting paste here.

-OK.

And you're going to put it on.

It helps the tyre to slide on, because it's quite tricky and fiddly

to get the tyre on anyway.

We're almost there.

Now it's ready, it's time to put it back on the car.

Rebecca is an expert,

so please don't try to fix your car on your own.

Go, stop. Perfect, absolutely perfect.

Excellent.

When we were fixing Big Red Hulk, I was really surprised,

like, I didn't know I could do that much.

Try your horn.

It's not working!

-Shall we fix it, then?

-Yeah.

-Yes.

OK. The horn is really important as a warning to others

who may not have seen you.

It's powered by electricity but the fuse needs replacing.

Fixing the horn is so much fun.

See if it works.

Especially when we got to beep it at the end.

I am pleased to tell you that the Big Red Hulk is now 100% roadworthy.

Yasmin and Eslam have given their car a much needed servicing.

Now that everything is up to scratch,

it's time for them to nailing down their final surprise design ideas.

I'm a little bit worried about how they're going to react with the car

because I really want them to like it.

reveal their transformed Big Red Hulk.

I have for you a Superchargers certificate just to say that the car

is road safe. But let's remind ourselves, guys -

what did the Big Red Hulk look like when it first came to us?

It was full of scratches.

-It stank because of our sports kit.

-And the wing mirror was broken.

Mum, Steve, what do you not want to see when we lift up the door?

Anything too bright and garish.

Nothing too bright and garish.

-OK. So, are you guys ready?

-Yeah.

-Awesome.

Mum, what are you thinking? Steve, what are your initial reactions?

-Amazing!

-It's still red.

-That's the big thing.

-It is still the Big Red Hulk,

just supercharged obviously.

Big Red Hulk has gone from dull and old to red and gold,

with cool black racing stripes fit for our sporty family

and that dodgy wing mirror is gone for good.

We wanted to have a lot of gold to incorporate gold medals, cos that's

-what we want to get.

-You've got the black lines coming down.

-Like a medal. I thought that's what you were going to say.

-Very cool.

That's smart, guys. Really, really smart. It looks amazing.

Inside, Yasmin and Eslam have crammed in sporting accessories

including a steering wheel cover inspired by Rebecca's racing car

and stunning seats to replace those smelly stained ones.

-Also the horn is working now.

Yasmin and Eslam have also sneaked in a few extra deer to honour their

papier-mache friend.

Oh, my gosh, you've got deer cushions as well.

In memory of No Idea.

And there's a little surprise for me in the now supercharged boot.

We've taken his head and we have mounted it.

-No Idea will always be remembered.

Yasmin and Eslam have done an incredible job.

They've really thought about us as a family as well and it really

represents us, even more than it did before.

I'm really proud of you guys, really creative. Well done.
