Oh, hello. I'm Andy, I work in the dinosaur gallery,

here in the National Museum.

Now, as you can see, I'm in a bit of a hurry at the moment.

Hatty's asked me to bring her this - it's cod-liver oil.

-It's for her display.

-MEOW!

-Oh, sorry, Taffy!

Oh, I like this! Very nice.

Hello, Andy.

Oh. What's that?

-This is a fish that lived at the time of the dinosaurs.

-Oh!

-Doesn't smell very fishy.

-It's not a real fish.

Fish like these died out millions of years ago.

-This is a rubber fish that I painted green.

-But it looks so real.

Took me a few days to get it looking like this,

but now for the finishing touch - have you got that cod-liver oil?

What are you doing there?

Just putting some oil on it

to make it nice and slippery,

like a real fish.

Then...

I'm going to put it in the mouth of the coelophysis.

The coelo-what?

Coelophysis, one of the first dinosaurs.

It had lots of sharp teeth,

it was a very fast runner...

and mainly ate meat and fish.

Oh!

There.

Ah!

I'd better go, the doors open soon and I've lots to do.

-Don't worry, Hatty, I'll tidy up.

-Thanks, I knew I could count on you!

TAFFY GROANS

-MEOW!

It's all right, it's not broken.

Oh, no! What am I going to do? Hatty spent ages making that fish.

I suppose I could try and make a new one, but...

I've made it! I've travelled back in time! Whoa! Who-o-o-o-oa!

Whoo! I don't think I need to be going down any more waterfalls

any time soon.

As I was saying, I've travelled back in time 220 million years

to the time of coelophysis.

OK, now we need to catch a nice fresh fish to replace the one

that Taffy took.

Well, I'm in the perfect place for it, the middle of a river.

Just need my fishing rod.

Here we go.

LOW-PITCHED GROWLING

Or maybe I'll go fishing at the side of the river instead.

Oof! Oof!

Oh-ah!

Ah, there. That's better. Oh, I hope it's still working.

Yes, could do with drying out a bit,

giving me plenty of time to do a bit more fishing.

DINOSAUR GROWLS

Ah, right! This shouldn't take long, I'm pretty good at fishing.

Ah, it's a fish! Just like Hatty's! Come on, come on...

Uh! Is that what I think it is? It's a coelophysis.

Now, I'm too big for him to eat, but...he does look hungry.

Oh, he's spotted the fish. Here he goes. He's moving really slowly.

The fish will never see him coming.

COELOPHYSIS CROAKS

Hey, I was going to catch that!

I have to admit, he's pretty good at catching fish.

Oh, great, I can't use that one now, he's eaten half of it.

GULP!

It's not easy keeping up with these two-legged dinosaurs.

What's he doing? He's digging for something.

Whatever it is, he's found it.

What is THAT?

BLEEP! BLEEP!

It's a lungfish, that's the fish I'm after.

It says here that unlike most fish, lungfish can actually breathe air.

When the river's too low, they bury themselves in the ground,

covered in a protective skin.

Since he's already eaten one, he might give this one to me.

COELOPHYSIS CROAKS

Oh, there it is.

Oh, that was easy. Thank you. Thanks a lot.

Hang on, I think his friends are after my fish.

Now, your friend gave me this fish, it's for Hatty's display, so...

Oh, it's no good, the coelophysis are just too quick.

Well, that's it, then, I've lost the fish.

DINOSAUR CRIES

Pterosaurs!

Look! Even the young pterosaurs are better at catching fish than I am!

Did you see that?! Where's the fish? Where's it gone?

Uh... Oh, there it is.

Pfft! Pfft!

I've finally got my fish! Thanks for that!

OK, back to the clock.

I've made it. And not a moment too soon.

The museum's just about to open.

-DINOSAUR BELLOWS

-Ah! A huge plateosaurus!

PLATEOSAURUS BELLOWS

He's only a plant-eater, but...

Oh, he's seven metres long and he's blocking my way.

How am I going to get to the clock now?

Oh! Hatty's backpack.

There's always something useful in there.

A make-up mirror, what am I going to do with that? Argh.

I've got an idea.

It's working.

It worked! Yes!

Time to head back.

Hurry along now.

This is a coelophysis, one of the very earliest dinosaurs.

It may be smaller than lots of the dinosaurs that came later,

but it was still a great hunter and ate lots of meat.

And fish.
