Hi, I'm Andy and I work here at Pickles' Animal Park.

I look after all the animals for Mr Pickles. Like these wallabies.

I'm checking they're bouncing around and healthy.

They seem to be all right.

I'll be bouncing around cos a dance teacher is coming

to Pickles' Animal Park to teach us a few animal dances.

Better than watching Wallaby Come Dancing. I'll tell the guys!

-I can't wait, it's going to be brilliant.

-'Andy, Andy.

-'Come in, Andy. over.'

-Hang on a minute. That's Mr Pickles now.

Hello, Mr Pickles. Andy here, receiving loud and clear. Over.

'Hello, Andy. Bad news, I'm afraid.

'The dance teacher's car has broken down

'so I'd like you to teach the children an animal dance instead.'

Erm, well, I suppose so, sir, but... OK. Over.

'Great. You'd better start practising. Pickles out.'

No, I'm not a dance teacher. What am I going to do?

I know! I can go around the park and watch how the animals move

and I can get a few tips.

I'll start with the wallabies. Come on.

Rraa, I can see right up your nose. Rrar.

-Hello, Kip.

-Oh, ha-ha.

-Hello, Andy.

-What's this you're making?

Oh, this is my latest invention,

my brilliantly bouncy helping hopper.

Ah, sounds good. What's it for?

Do you remember when you had trouble checking

the giraffes' teeth cos you couldn't get to the end of their necks?

That was hard work, even for someone as tall as me.

-Well, I've built you this to help. Go on, put your helmet on.

-Oh, right.

-Now press that button.

-Right.

-And stand on it.

I think that might be a good idea.

Ha-ha. So, what have you been up to?

Me? Well, later on, I'm teaching an animal dance to some children,

-so I've been learning some new moves.

-Ha-ha!

Ha-ha-hang on, why not learn some moves off the animals?

That's what I've been doing.

I've been bouncing around with some of the animals.

Some of them are really good bouncers,

like the pygmy goats and wallabies.

Oh, and the award for the best bouncers goes to the pygmy goats

and the wallabies!

Well, actually, Kip, there's an animal that can jump

and bounce even better than they can.

No! What are they?

They're called lemurs

and they can jump huge distances from tree to tree.

-And when they're on the ground, they don't run, they bounce.

-Ah!

-And they bounce from side to side.

-Oh, wow. Well, I'd love to see that.

You know what this sounds like, don't you?

BOTH: Time to go on a wild adventure.

We get to see lemurs bouncing around.

We can try out my brilliantly bouncing helping hopper.

Let's do it.

Just in case we need it. And, last but not least, the Kipmobile!

-Ha! Ha-ha-ha-ha.

-Woo-hoo-hoo.

-Yeah!

-We're in space.

-So, where to, Andy?

-The spiny forests of Madagascar, Kip.

It's a huge island off the coast of Africa,

the only place in the world where we'll find wild lemurs.

Well, what are we waiting for? Go, cat nav, go.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA!

-Wow, this is Madagascar.

-Is that the spiny forest below us?

-It sure is, Kip.

-Cool.

-Right, let's land. Ah, over there.

-Yeah.

Wow, it's so green.

WHINING

What was that noise?

SCREECHING

Oh, look, Kip, it's the lemurs!

Oh, yeah, I can see one over there.

Oh, it's amazing how they manage to jump so far.

Lemurs have really long legs and big, powerful, strong muscles.

They use those legs to push away from the trees and into the air.

And they're so fast too. Look at them!

I think they're too fast for me, Andy.

But you're a good runner, so I'll look after the Kipmobile

in case one of the lemurs should land upon it. Ha-ha-ha.

Andy?

Oh, Andy? Ha-ha.

Sorry, Kip. I'll see you soon.

Ah.

-Whoa, they don't hang around, do they? Kip, check these guys out.

-Ah!

Wow.

I've never seen an animal move like that before. It's amazing!

-It's, it's like they're dancing.

-It is, isn't it, Kip?

'Why do they move like that?'

Well, you see, bouncing means they can get around a lot quicker.

-'Oh.'

-And can you see they're using their arms to balance?

Wow, lemurs can really bounce a long way. Ha-ha.

I'm going to have a go. See you later, Kip.

Oh, what I need are a pair, a pair of lemur legs.

Or something else!

Kip's brilliantly bouncy helping hopper, of course! Ha-ha!

Huh? Ha-ha-ha.

And just so I fit in, I'm going to shrink down to their size.

Size of a lemur.

Oh, all right?

Ooh, he looks like he's just about to JUMP!

That was incredible and now it's my turn.

Woo-hoo. Wey! Ha-ha-hey!

Slow down, hang on. Ha-ha-ha.

Here I come.

It's not as easy as it looks!

Hello. Even with this, it's still so difficult to catch up

with these lemurs. They're really fast.

It was great fun, though.

Kip, your brilliantly bouncy helping hopper was, well,

-brilliantly bouncy.

-'Great!

-'Those lemurs really can jump a long way.'

-They sure can.

They can jump up to ten metres in just one bounce,

which is about the same length as a bus.

Oh. Oh, there's some bouncing off now.

I'll call you later, I want to catch up with them.

Right, er... Ah!

Hang on a minute, something's not riiiiight!

What? Ah.

Oh, no, my helping hopper.

Oh, it's got a life of its own, that thing.

Oh, look, it's a whole family of lemurs!

Oh, wow, this is incredible!

I've seen them down on the ground but up here I'm really close.

Now I can really see what they're doing.

This is amazing.

Look at them jumping from tree to tree like gymnasts.

Oh!

Hey, where's everyone going? Hang on!

Oh, I can't follow them. I haven't got my helpful hopper.

Oh, no,

I think I'm stuck.

Erm, it might be time to call Kip.

'Kip? Kip?'

-'Don't worry, Andy, I'm on my way.'

-Nice one, Kip.

I can always count on you.

Oh, look, it's my helpful hopper.

Oh, ho.

Argh! Whoa!

I've got the perfect dance for them. It's called the leaping lemur.
