ALARM BEEPS

0:00:530:00:55

It's a new day. Time to get my ninja on.

0:00:580:01:01

And my clothes.

0:01:030:01:05

Yah!!!

0:01:050:01:06

'Time for breakfast.'

0:01:280:01:30

No eggs?

0:01:300:01:31

This would never have happened when I was a kid.

0:01:330:01:35

We had fresh ones laid by the chickens.

0:01:350:01:38

My favourite was Mr Chicken. I loved that pet.

0:01:380:01:42

CLUCKING

KNOCKING

0:01:550:01:57

Oh, hey, Gavin, what you got?

0:01:590:02:00

Your magazine, Chicken Weekly.

0:02:000:02:02

It must have been delivered to me by mistake.

0:02:020:02:04

You've not got my magazine at all, have you?

0:02:040:02:07

Unfortunately, Annoying Best Mates Monthly hasn't been delivered yet.

0:02:070:02:11

Ha-ha, good one. Cheers, Rick, see you later.

0:02:110:02:13

See you later.

0:02:130:02:14

You know what, this has given me an idea.

0:02:140:02:17

I'm going to paint a picture of my beloved

0:02:170:02:19

Mr Chicken in the style made popular by Picasso, cubism.

0:02:190:02:23

Using this egg box to give it a great 3D quality, I'm just

0:02:230:02:27

going to wing it.

0:02:270:02:28

I'm going to start by drawing myself a line that I can follow to paint.

0:02:310:02:35

It's quite difficult to draw on an egg box

0:02:350:02:37

so make sure you take your time.

0:02:370:02:40

Right, it's looking pretty good.

0:02:400:02:41

I'm just going to draw the cone now.

0:02:410:02:43

That's the red, wobbly bit.

0:02:430:02:44

That's the kind of thing you learn from Chicken Weekly.

0:02:440:02:47

There we go.

0:02:490:02:50

Good start. Now I can start painting.

0:02:500:02:53

Put a bit of paper down first so that I don't ruin the kitchen top.

0:02:540:02:57

I've got some pre-mix paint here.

0:02:570:02:59

I'm going to use this to paint the main body of the chicken.

0:02:590:03:03

Hello. I am Pablo Picasso.

0:03:060:03:08

Hey, Picasso.

0:03:080:03:09

I helped invent cubism, which means showing things

0:03:090:03:13

painted from many different angles at once.

0:03:130:03:15

I made around 50,000 sculptures, drawings and paintings.

0:03:150:03:19

Here's one now.

0:03:190:03:20

Oi, Picasso, pipe down. I'm trying to paint Mr Chicken.

0:03:220:03:26

You are not the only one who has a monopoly on animals, you know.

0:03:260:03:29

I owned a pet monkey, a goat, a turtle,

0:03:290:03:32

packs of dogs and cats and a wise, old owl.

0:03:320:03:34

Wise words, Picasso.

0:03:340:03:36

You'll find you need to use more paint than normal for a picture

0:03:390:03:42

this size, because you're covering a lot more surface

0:03:420:03:44

area. You've got to go in these crevices, on top of these peaks.

0:03:440:03:48

And to do the feet, I think I need to change brushes.

0:03:500:03:54

'I need a smaller brush to do more detail.'

0:03:540:03:57

Now the next stage is waiting for that to dry.

0:03:570:03:59

But I wait for nothing cos I'm the Art Ninja.

0:03:590:04:02

There we go, nice and dry.

0:04:020:04:04

Now I'm going to do a nice blue sky behind him, and a nice green floor.

0:04:040:04:08

'Adding white to the blue to give me different tones.'

0:04:080:04:11

I think the sky's all done.

0:04:160:04:18

So I'm going to start doing some grass.

0:04:180:04:21

So get the green out. Going to add a bit of yellow to brighten it up.

0:04:210:04:24

And then some white to get a good shade of green.

0:04:240:04:28

I'm going to take the green up to where it meets the blue

0:04:320:04:35

and dab to try and get the representation of blades of grass.

0:04:350:04:39

Very important bit of the chicken now, the comb.

0:04:420:04:44

So I'm going to get out some red. Don't need too much of this,

0:04:440:04:48

just a little bit.

0:04:480:04:49

Don't know why it's called a comb, cos you can't comb it.

0:04:490:04:52

Right. That's the foundations of all the colours done.

0:04:540:04:57

Now I'm going to start putting in some detail.

0:04:570:05:00

Get some of this brown out

0:05:000:05:02

and do the back end of the feathers where it's a bit darker.

0:05:020:05:04

You can go back and use the original colour...just to help

0:05:060:05:09

some of these darker bits blend in.

0:05:090:05:11

Now, I'm just dabbing here to get the speckled effect of the feathers.

0:05:130:05:16

And right now my chicken can't see. So I'm going to do an eye.

0:05:210:05:25

Add a little bit of white. There's a highlight in the eye.

0:05:270:05:31

OK.

0:05:310:05:32

Wow! Look at that!

0:05:330:05:36

I think that's brilliant.

0:05:360:05:38

So from head on, it just looks like a normal picture. And then

0:05:380:05:41

when I turn it, all the peaks and troughs distort the picture,

0:05:410:05:45

giving it that Cubism effect.

0:05:450:05:47

You don't have to paint a chicken, you could paint whatever you want.

0:05:470:05:50

For instance, you could do a self-portrait. Freaky, hey?

0:05:500:05:54

When you lean it forward, it smiles. When you lean it backward,

0:05:540:05:59

little sad face.

0:05:590:06:00

'Incredible cubist art from an egg box.

0:06:030:06:06

'Get cracking on one yourself.

0:06:060:06:08

CLUCKING

0:06:080:06:10

'Now I need some breakfast.'

0:06:100:06:11

That was a productive breakfast time. Now it's animation time.

0:06:140:06:17

This is my friend Andre.

0:06:250:06:27

You all right?

0:06:270:06:28

This is his skate park, and he is

0:06:280:06:30

-going to be my skateboard for the day.

-Wahoo!

0:06:300:06:33

You can make an awesome human skateboard animation in just

0:06:330:06:35

three ninja moves.

0:06:350:06:37

'Ninja move number one.'

0:06:380:06:40

Find yourself a willing friend.

0:06:400:06:42

HE LAUGHS

0:06:430:06:44

Now find a friend to help you shoot the animation.

0:06:440:06:48

All right, let's do this.

0:06:480:06:49

'Ninja move number two.

0:06:530:06:56

'Set up your animation and get ready to shoot.'

0:06:560:06:58

OK, I'm going to be doing a skateboarding trick using

0:06:580:07:01

Andre as a skateboard.

0:07:010:07:02

Rich is going to be taking pictures on the camera

0:07:020:07:04

cos I can't do both. He's going to be using a fish-eye lens

0:07:040:07:06

so he can take super-wide shots. You ready, Andre?

0:07:060:07:09

I'm ready!

0:07:090:07:10

Are you happy and comfortable, Andre?

0:07:130:07:15

-Yes.

-Are you ready to shred?

-Let's do this!

0:07:150:07:17

HE GRUNTS

0:07:170:07:20

We're going to move Andre along each time we take a picture or a frame.

0:07:200:07:23

This way, when all the frames are played together, it'll

0:07:250:07:28

look like I'm skating on Andre.

0:07:280:07:30

Now this kind of thing isn't very difficult so I want to work out

0:07:300:07:34

a cool skateboarding ninja stunt that we can do instead.

0:07:340:07:37

'Ninja move number three. Plan out your skateboarding stunt.'

0:07:370:07:41

To create a cool skateboarding stunt,

0:07:410:07:43

well, it will involve Andre flying through the air.

0:07:430:07:45

Can you fly through the air, buddy?

0:07:450:07:47

I don't think so.

0:07:470:07:49

To do this we're going to be using chromakey - or green screen - to

0:07:490:07:53

hold us in the air while the frame is recorded.

0:07:530:07:56

So now we know what we're going to do, we need to get on with

0:07:580:08:00

it. Cut to time-lapse.

0:08:000:08:02

'Remember, this kind of animation can be tricky so you might need

0:08:020:08:05

'some extra help and also...'

0:08:050:08:07

Animation's thirsty work so make sure you take plenty of breaks.

0:08:070:08:11

CLINK

0:08:110:08:13

OK, we've got all the shots so it's time to do some editing.

0:08:160:08:20

'There's loads of free editing apps, like I'm using, available

0:08:200:08:23

'online for your PC or tablet.'

0:08:230:08:25

OK, so I've taken out the green boxes, I've added some sound

0:08:270:08:30

effects, and I think it's time to take a look at our mini masterpiece.

0:08:300:08:34

-You ready, Andre?

-Let's do it.

0:08:340:08:36

Oh, it looks amazing.

0:08:390:08:41

Look at my legs!

0:08:440:08:45

BOTH: Oh!

0:08:480:08:49

BOTH: Oh!

0:08:500:08:52

BOTH: Oh!

0:08:520:08:53

Kick was so rad.

0:08:530:08:55

-That is good.

-It is good.

0:08:560:08:58

Well, seeing as I'm here, I might as well set up the ninja board and go

0:08:590:09:03

for a shred.

0:09:030:09:04

'So next time you're feeling bored, try turning your mate into one.

0:09:130:09:17

'Gnarly to the max!'

0:09:170:09:19

Here in Bristol, we have a hot-air balloon festival,

0:09:280:09:30

and I was thinking it'll be a good place to search for Mr Chicken.

0:09:300:09:33

CLUCKING

0:09:330:09:35

It also gave me an idea for an awesome balloon picture.

0:09:360:09:39

'The Art Ninja air balloon cell picture with awesome animation.'

0:09:410:09:46

What I'm going to use is just a sheet of cardboard.

0:09:460:09:49

And I'm going to draw a border around it

0:09:490:09:52

which is about the width of a ruler.

0:09:520:09:54

Right, I'm going to cut out the middle bit so I'm left with a frame.

0:09:580:10:02

'Be careful with scissors, they can be sharp.'

0:10:020:10:05

You're going to need two of these so I'll just ninja myself another one.

0:10:060:10:10

Now, grab yourself some clingfilm and a glue stick

0:10:100:10:13

and give the frame a generous portion of glue.

0:10:130:10:17

Looks like enough. OK, now the tricky bit.

0:10:210:10:24

Roll it out, over your frame.

0:10:240:10:27

OK, now cos we used loads of glue, it means we can stretch it

0:10:300:10:34

out across this frame without it suddenly sticking...

0:10:340:10:39

completely.

0:10:390:10:41

Look at that, nice and taut.

0:10:410:10:42

Now we want to put another good portion of glue on the other

0:10:440:10:47

side of the frame.

0:10:470:10:48

Now sandwich the clingfilm between the two frames.

0:10:500:10:54

Like that.

0:10:540:10:56

Stretch it around like this, just to make sure it's nice

0:10:560:10:58

and tight. And there we are, your first frame...

0:10:580:11:01

..ready for drawing on.

0:11:020:11:04

Now this isn't a canvas, this is a cell.

0:11:040:11:06

It's what animators use to draw on.

0:11:060:11:08

Rather than drawing straight onto it, I've drawn a little

0:11:080:11:11

image first as a guide so that I don't muck it up

0:11:110:11:14

and have to make my cell again.

0:11:140:11:16

'Now I'm just going to trace the guide onto the cell.

0:11:170:11:20

'I'm using a permanent marker to do this.'

0:11:200:11:23

Lot of seagulls in Bristol.

0:11:280:11:30

Great. Now I can paint it.

0:11:300:11:33

'I'm putting yellow paper under the cell so that when I paint it,

0:11:330:11:36

'I can see it more easily.'

0:11:360:11:38

There we are.

0:11:380:11:39

What I'm using here is acrylic paint,

0:11:410:11:44

which is pretty happy to

0:11:440:11:46

go on anything.

0:11:460:11:48

The great thing about this,

0:11:510:11:52

using cells, is that you could layer up a picture.

0:11:520:11:55

You create a foreground and background,

0:11:550:11:57

and if you were animating,

0:11:570:11:59

it meant you didn't have to redraw everything over and over again.

0:11:590:12:02

So what I've done here is drawn a lovely foreground.

0:12:020:12:06

So this is a box made up of two of the frames, one at the front

0:12:060:12:10

and one at the back, and I wrapped a piece of cardboard

0:12:100:12:13

around three of the sides but left one of them

0:12:130:12:15

open, cos that's where we're going to slide in our other cells.

0:12:150:12:18

And if we just slide...my frame inside...

0:12:200:12:23

Look at that!

0:12:250:12:26

So, hot-air balloon over the lovely, rolling hills.

0:12:260:12:28

But it feels like it's in a bit of a void,

0:12:280:12:30

it needs some background.

0:12:300:12:33

And I've painted some white

0:12:330:12:35

clouds on a blue piece of paper,

0:12:350:12:37

and I've put sticky tacks on the corner.

0:12:370:12:40

So when I stick it to the back, if I ever want to change the weather,

0:12:400:12:44

I can.

0:12:440:12:45

And there we are. Look how beautiful that is. It gives it real depth.

0:12:450:12:50

Now this piece of art has a trick up its sleeve.

0:12:500:12:53

So I've drawn some other frames,

0:12:530:12:55

and we can see here how they work, sort of one after the other.

0:12:550:12:58

So I'm just going to grab my tablet.

0:12:580:13:01

I've got on it some animation software.

0:13:010:13:03

Right, so my first frame's in place. I'll just go for a frame.

0:13:030:13:07

Nice. Swap out my frame to the next one.

0:13:080:13:12

So on each of these frames the bird,

0:13:160:13:19

he's moved just a tiny amount towards the balloon.

0:13:190:13:22

Ooh, now he's bumped into it.

0:13:240:13:26

Cool. Let's have a little look at it.

0:13:280:13:31

'The air balloon cell picture. Why don't you try it yourself?'

0:13:320:13:36

I wish I could fly up high in the sky.

0:13:380:13:40

Looking down like a bird. Oh, I can imagine it now.

0:13:400:13:43

PHONE RINGS

0:13:440:13:48

BEEP

0:13:480:13:49

'Hi, Ricky, it's your mum.

0:13:490:13:51

'Bet you can't get to the phone

0:13:510:13:52

'cos you're flying by the seat of your pants again.

0:13:520:13:55

'Anyway, this is a quick call to say it's chicken Kiev mini

0:13:550:13:58

'bites for tea, if you want to come round.'

0:13:580:14:01

A bit insensitive. I was just thinking of Mr Chicken.

0:14:010:14:04

'Also, I wanted to say what else we've got coming up.

0:14:040:14:07

'You'll be making a superhero with a straw, learning how to make

0:14:070:14:10

'jelly worms...and you'll be forming a collage with your biggest fan.

0:14:100:14:15

'Bye!'

0:14:150:14:17

Wow. I better get on with it.

0:14:170:14:19

This art won't make itself.

0:14:190:14:21

What to do first?

0:14:210:14:23

-Ricky, Ricky.

-Ricky, Ricky.

0:14:230:14:25

What can I do for you, guys?

0:14:250:14:26

BOTH: Can you make something with a bike pump?

0:14:260:14:29

Um, not that today.

0:14:290:14:31

Oh.

0:14:310:14:32

-ALL:

-Ricky, what can you make with this foot stool?

0:14:320:14:36

A footstool? Have to put my foot down on that one.

0:14:360:14:39

Ricky, what can you do with these?

0:14:390:14:43

How about this guy? Yeah, I pick you.

0:14:430:14:46

Yes! Yes!

0:14:460:14:49

-What's your name, buddy?

-I'm Cory.

0:14:490:14:51

-Hi, Cory. Where are you from?

-I'm from Cardiff.

0:14:510:14:54

Cardiff, yeah. So what have you got for me today?

0:14:540:14:57

-Can you make some art with straws?

-Make something with straws?

0:14:570:15:00

I can do better than that. I can make you a cartoon superhero.

0:15:000:15:03

I'll just get my bits.

0:15:030:15:05

Here we go.

0:15:050:15:06

Got myself some Sellotape, some paper, some card,

0:15:060:15:10

coloured pens and scissors and, of course, special straw.

0:15:100:15:15

What I'm going to do to begin with is I'm going to roll the paper

0:15:150:15:18

round the end of the straw just to get a tube.

0:15:180:15:23

There we go. Going to sticky-tape that together.

0:15:230:15:26

There we are.

0:15:290:15:30

Now I'm going to fold over the end and then take that down.

0:15:300:15:33

Put that to one side.

0:15:390:15:41

Now I'm going to draw myself a superhero.

0:15:410:15:43

-What superpowers would you have, Cory?

-Super strength.

0:15:430:15:47

Super strength? Nice one.

0:15:470:15:50

Good choice.

0:15:500:15:51

This is my superhero. I'd love to see your design

0:15:520:15:55

for super strongman.

0:15:550:15:57

Why do superheroes always wear their pants over their trousers?

0:15:570:16:00

I think it's just the fashion.

0:16:000:16:02

The legs, there we go, and the cape.

0:16:020:16:07

And I'm going to put a little emblem in the middle.

0:16:070:16:10

I think he's going to be called Rad Man.

0:16:100:16:12

Six-pack.

0:16:160:16:18

Red, blue and yellow are good hero colours, aren't they?

0:16:180:16:21

Let's get colouring him in.

0:16:210:16:22

When I was younger, I had to put up with cheaper superheroes

0:16:240:16:28

such as Budget Boy.

0:16:280:16:31

His special power was getting money off things.

0:16:310:16:34

But don't worry, this superhero isn't going to be cheap,

0:16:360:16:40

he's going to be top of the range.

0:16:400:16:42

What colour should his bottoms be?

0:16:420:16:44

-Um, blue.

-Sounds good.

0:16:440:16:47

There we go. What colour should his pants be?

0:16:520:16:55

Um, black maybe?

0:16:570:16:59

Black, yeah. Black pants.

0:16:590:17:00

When you have a go, you can mix up the colours.

0:17:040:17:06

-Shall I give him a yellow cape?

-Yes.

0:17:060:17:08

Yeah. Here, we can see him coming then.

0:17:080:17:10

And then I'm going to do the Rad bit here.

0:17:130:17:16

Make some yellow booties.

0:17:180:17:20

And I think I'm going to do his face pink,

0:17:210:17:24

cos I'd be pretty embarrassed if I had my pants on over my trousers.

0:17:240:17:28

OK, I'm going to cut that out.

0:17:300:17:31

Now his legs.

0:17:340:17:37

Go round here and his hands and his head.

0:17:370:17:39

There we go.

0:17:390:17:41

Now I'm going to stick my little tube that I made to his back.

0:17:410:17:45

More sticky tape.

0:17:450:17:47

There we go. Put the straw in.

0:17:500:17:54

-Right. Do you want to see him?

-Yep.

0:17:540:17:57

-What do you think?

-That's awesome!

0:17:590:18:02

He looks good, doesn't he? And then check this out.

0:18:020:18:07

-Wow.

-What do you think of it?

0:18:140:18:16

It's super! I'll give it 110%.

0:18:160:18:20

110%? That's not even possible.

0:18:200:18:23

I reckon you could make your hero even more super.

0:18:230:18:26

-Yep.

-Thanks very much, Cory. Have a good day, mate. Bye-bye.

0:18:260:18:30

Bye, Ricky.

0:18:300:18:32

Here's a quick art tip. How to add speech to your cartoon doodles.

0:18:320:18:37

So, the first stage is working out what your characters

0:18:370:18:39

are going to say and then leaving space,

0:18:390:18:41

so you can write it in afterwards. So I've drawn these guys here.

0:18:410:18:44

Little one of me getting my ninja on and I've left space at the top

0:18:440:18:47

and down here where I want to put it.

0:18:470:18:49

When I come to actually write the text, I'm going to do

0:18:490:18:51

it in capitals, so it's nice and bold and easy to read.

0:18:510:18:55

Time to get my ninja on.

0:18:560:18:57

And over here I'm going to write "art ninja".

0:18:580:19:01

The next stage is to draw a circle round your text

0:19:010:19:04

and that just borders it off nicely

0:19:040:19:06

and then a little tail to indicate who's speaking.

0:19:060:19:09

Now, on this one over here, I'm shouting,

0:19:090:19:11

so I'm going to use a zigzag border to give it more energy.

0:19:110:19:14

And finally, you could enhance your drawings by using text to

0:19:170:19:20

create sound effects.

0:19:200:19:22

So I'm going to put a nice big Ka-pow up here.

0:19:220:19:24

In this one, I'm using bubble writing. There we go.

0:19:260:19:29

There's a quick art tip.

0:19:320:19:33

Hey, you there. Birds fly in the sky. But why?

0:19:470:19:52

Because they eat worms from the earth.

0:19:540:19:56

Look at this guy. Check out how orange his face is.

0:19:560:20:00

-But you can't eat worms. Can you?

-Nope.

0:20:000:20:04

Well, now you can, with new jelly worms.

0:20:040:20:10

Here's how you make them. You need a jug.

0:20:100:20:13

Some red jelly.

0:20:150:20:17

Some orange jelly.

0:20:170:20:20

And some gelatine.

0:20:210:20:23

Then add hot water.

0:20:250:20:27

Be careful or get an adult to help.

0:20:280:20:30

Now, add cold water. Don't drink it.

0:20:330:20:36

You need cream. Smells good.

0:20:400:20:44

In it goes, just a bit.

0:20:440:20:46

Use a spoon to stir your mixture.

0:20:460:20:48

This should melt the jelly until it looks like this.

0:20:500:20:53

Next get some bendy straws.

0:20:540:20:57

Making sure the bendy end faces downwards, put them in a tall glass.

0:20:580:21:03

Pour the mixture into the glass around the straws,

0:21:050:21:09

nearly to the top.

0:21:090:21:10

Mmm. Spread the straws out.

0:21:130:21:16

Then leave them in the fridge for seven hours to allow the

0:21:170:21:21

mixture to set.

0:21:210:21:22

Grab a plate, remove a straw.

0:21:230:21:26

Give it a squeeze like this and hey presto, a jelly worm.

0:21:290:21:33

Oh.

0:21:330:21:35

All you need do now is squeeze it onto a plate and repeat for

0:21:350:21:39

as many straws as you have filled.

0:21:390:21:41

Jelly worms. Stored in a fridge near you.

0:21:490:21:53

Mm, might have to try some of those.

0:21:530:21:55

Oh, this interview with Beaktoria Peckham's really cracking me up.

0:21:580:22:03

Do you know, I'd like to think that somewhere, right now,

0:22:030:22:06

Mr Chicken is reading this too.

0:22:060:22:08

Oh, I'd love to find him.

0:22:100:22:13

I've got an idea.

0:22:150:22:17

Hi, Michelle, I've got a plan.

0:22:170:22:19

I'm going to fly and meet Mr Chicken.

0:22:190:22:21

No, no, no, don't hang up, I'm serious.

0:22:210:22:24

Can you meet me at the warehouse? And bring a big fan.

0:22:240:22:27

Ninja skills. Hey, Mich. Did you bring that fan I asked you for?

0:22:380:22:42

I'm your fan, Ricky. Go, Ricky!

0:22:420:22:45

-Give me an R, give me an I...

-Michelle, everybody.

0:22:450:22:48

Give me a C, give me a K. Go, Rick...

0:22:480:22:51

Can I just interrupt you there? What I need is wind.

0:22:510:22:54

Oh, you've got more than enough of that already, mate.

0:22:540:22:57

All right. Well, what's that thing for then?

0:22:570:22:59

-Oh, the fan, fan, you should have said.

-That's our fan, fan.

0:22:590:23:02

The fan, fan.

0:23:020:23:03

What I want to do is make a collage by blowing things through that fan.

0:23:030:23:07

If only we had some feathers.

0:23:070:23:09

If only we had some pillows.

0:23:090:23:11

-En garde.

-Are you being serious?

-You bet I am.

0:23:130:23:18

I think we've got enough feathers now, so let's get our ninja on.

0:23:250:23:28

-Art ninja.

-Art ninja.

0:23:330:23:36

Strike a pose.

0:23:360:23:38

Right, so what we're going to be doing is making a massive

0:23:410:23:44

collage on this board here

0:23:440:23:46

and using this fan to blow all of our cool stuff against it.

0:23:460:23:50

But first, we need a guide, so we know where we're aiming for,

0:23:500:23:53

and we're going to do that by using some charcoal.

0:23:530:23:55

-Let's do some art.

-Let's do it.

0:23:550:23:57

Are you going to give me any sort of clue as to what this is?

0:23:590:24:01

It has something to do with feathers.

0:24:010:24:05

OK. Right, some form of bird.

0:24:050:24:07

Or maybe just a really big pillow.

0:24:070:24:09

Now it's time for us to start gluing.

0:24:110:24:14

Smooth.

0:24:150:24:17

We first need to start gluing here, along here

0:24:170:24:21

and around the belly here.

0:24:210:24:24

OK. Why these sections?

0:24:240:24:25

This is going to be all the same colour,

0:24:250:24:27

so we need to do those bits first.

0:24:270:24:29

I see. OK.

0:24:290:24:32

Right, and it's all nice and sticky.

0:24:330:24:35

It's time to start playing with my number one fan.

0:24:350:24:37

-This is the exciting bit, isn't it?

-It is.

0:24:370:24:40

OK, so what colour are we going for?

0:24:400:24:41

We're going for this nice dark blue colour.

0:24:410:24:44

Michelle, start the fans, please.

0:24:440:24:46

Yes!

0:24:460:24:49

More, more, more. Whoa!

0:24:490:24:52

Stop it. Turn it off.

0:24:530:24:55

Wow! Right, let's start gluing this bit and this bit.

0:24:580:25:02

-This is really fun.

-It's a blast.

0:25:020:25:05

-Give me light blue, Michelle.

-Coming up.

-Fire up the fan.

0:25:050:25:08

Yeah!

0:25:120:25:13

This lower bit's going to be red.

0:25:150:25:17

Whoa!

0:25:210:25:23

OK, Michelle, let's go for a different texture this time.

0:25:230:25:25

-Sawdust.

-Ooh, cool.

-Fan, fan, fan.

0:25:250:25:29

-Whoa! Oh, yes. It looks brilliant.

-That's ace.

0:25:360:25:40

We're not done yet.

0:25:400:25:41

We need more feathers and some plastic balls.

0:25:410:25:44

Fan!

0:25:440:25:46

-Yeah!

-Whoa!

-Whoa!

0:25:470:25:54

-Oh, it looks brilliant.

-It really does.

0:25:560:25:59

It just needs one final finishing touch. A little bit of texture...

0:25:590:26:04

..on its beak.

0:26:040:26:06

Perfect.

0:26:090:26:11

That looks awesome.

0:26:170:26:20

-Not bad for a wing-it job.

-Oh, good one.

0:26:200:26:22

-Ricky, what are you doing?

-I must find Mr Chicken.

0:26:240:26:28

Mr Chicken?

0:26:300:26:32

I'm coming, Mr Chicken. Mr Chicken?

0:26:380:26:42

You just wait there, Mr Chicken, I'm coming for you.

0:26:440:26:47

I kind of flew around the world.

0:26:570:26:59

Well, that's what I'm going to lead my mates to believe

0:26:590:27:02

with this e-mail.

0:27:020:27:04

But still no Mr Chicken.

0:27:040:27:07

Anyway, it's time for bed.

0:27:070:27:10

Well, I may not have found my old pal, but today has taught me

0:27:100:27:16

a valuable Art Ninja lesson.

0:27:160:27:18

If you want to fly like a bird man you'll need glue,

0:27:180:27:22

sand and a giant fan.

0:27:220:27:24

PHONE BUZZES

0:27:240:27:26

Who could that be at this time of night?

0:27:260:27:28

It's an e-postcard from Mr Chicken.

0:27:290:27:32

Hey, it's turned out all right.

0:27:320:27:33

He's on holiday in Mississippi, Tennessee

0:27:330:27:35

and Kentucky, the chicken's favourite states.

0:27:350:27:38

Hang on? Kentucky?

0:27:440:27:47

AH!

0:27:490:27:52
