I'm Ricky!

0:00:020:00:04

I live in Bristol.

0:00:040:00:06

I work as an animator, which is lucky cos I love art.

0:00:060:00:09

Goal!

0:00:090:00:10

I live for art, I even dream of art.

0:00:100:00:13

I draw, I paint, I make things!

0:00:130:00:17

Nailed it!

0:00:170:00:18

I hang out with my mates - Gavin, Michelle, Rich and Sarah.

0:00:200:00:25

It's me!

0:00:250:00:27

Most importantly, I make ninja moves.

0:00:270:00:29

Some people call me the...

0:00:290:00:31

Today, I'll show you how to make a ROARsome Jurassic mask.

0:00:340:00:40

We'll be fossilising some weird objects.

0:00:400:00:43

And I've laid on a delicious spread, if you're feeling a bit peckish.

0:00:430:00:46

Because today it's...

0:00:480:00:49

It's a new day.

0:00:570:00:58

I better get my ninja on...

0:00:580:01:00

..and my clothes!

0:01:010:01:02

Time for breakfast. I'm so hungry.

0:01:170:01:20

Empty?

0:01:220:01:24

Sausages.

0:01:240:01:25

Not a sausage.

0:01:260:01:28

Eggs!

0:01:280:01:29

Oh, what? Not one measly egg?!

0:01:290:01:31

I'll have to go shopping.

0:01:330:01:34

SOUND OF FOOTSTEPS

0:01:340:01:36

What is that noise?

0:01:360:01:37

No-one's there. That's weird.

0:01:420:01:44

Well, I did say I wanted an egg.

0:01:470:01:49

But this is a whopper!

0:01:510:01:52

It's big enough to be something...

0:01:590:02:00

..Jurassic.

0:02:010:02:03

But that's just crazy, right?

0:02:050:02:06

The giant egg has given me a cracking idea for some art, though.

0:02:100:02:13

It's the Art Ninja dinosaur mask!

0:02:130:02:17

So, I've got myself a large cereal box,

0:02:190:02:21

but I'm going to need two of these, so I'll ninja another one.

0:02:210:02:24

Ninja skills.

0:02:260:02:28

I painted over the graphics with some red paint,

0:02:280:02:30

leaving the inside lovely and white.

0:02:300:02:33

I'm going to cut off this strip here on both boxes,

0:02:330:02:36

but I'm going to keep them cos I'll need them later.

0:02:360:02:39

Now I'm going to do a really cool paint technique by mixing together

0:02:390:02:43

washing up liquid and some paint to make bubbly paint.

0:02:430:02:45

Mix those together with a straw.

0:02:480:02:51

I'm going to blow into it to create the bubbles.

0:02:510:02:53

Don't suck! It'll taste nasty!

0:02:540:02:56

Now I'm going to slowly press my card down on top of the bubbles

0:02:560:03:00

to pick up the paint.

0:03:000:03:01

Look at that! I need to keep doing this technique until my card

0:03:050:03:08

is completely covered.

0:03:080:03:10

Looking great! Just like dinosaur skin.

0:03:120:03:15

I need to do the same thing on the other one.

0:03:150:03:17

There we are. Look at that.

0:03:210:03:23

I'll leave this piece down here to dry.

0:03:230:03:26

Now I'm going to use this piece to start making the main part

0:03:260:03:28

of the dinosaur's head and I'm going to draw a line

0:03:280:03:31

from this corner to that corner on one of these panels.

0:03:310:03:34

And then the same this side, from that corner to this corner.

0:03:390:03:42

Straight line along there.

0:03:440:03:45

The same the other side.

0:03:450:03:47

Like that. Now I'm going to cut along those lines.

0:03:480:03:50

I need to keep these bits as I'll need those later.

0:03:540:03:57

I'm just going to score a line down the centre of this piece

0:03:570:03:59

all the way to the point.

0:03:590:04:01

I'm using the blunt side of the scissors here.

0:04:010:04:03

One to there. And then the same the other side.

0:04:050:04:08

Let's turn those scores into folds

0:04:080:04:10

to make the main shape of the dinosaur's head.

0:04:100:04:13

And these two here pinch and come together

0:04:130:04:16

to make the front of the dino's nose.

0:04:160:04:19

Now I'm going to add a little bit of double-sided sticky tape in there to

0:04:190:04:22

hold it together.

0:04:220:04:23

And then just snip off the excess.

0:04:250:04:27

Now I'm going to cross over these two flaps at the back

0:04:270:04:30

and, with a little bit of double-sided sticky tape,

0:04:300:04:32

hold them together. Just put that to one side.

0:04:320:04:34

The two bits I left at the side earlier,

0:04:340:04:36

I'm going to stick them together with a bit of sticky tape.

0:04:360:04:40

I'm going to grab a bowl, put it in the middle and draw around it.

0:04:400:04:43

There we go.

0:04:460:04:48

I'm going to draw some lines from the circle to the edge of the box,

0:04:480:04:51

which will make the curved shape of the dinosaur's jaw.

0:04:510:04:55

Don't need this any more.

0:04:550:04:56

Pinch these pieces to make the fold for the underside of the jaw.

0:04:590:05:03

Add a little bit of double-sided sticky tape in there

0:05:030:05:05

to hold it together.

0:05:050:05:07

Now I'm going to stick this to the inside of the head.

0:05:070:05:10

The other one there.

0:05:130:05:16

Makes the shape of the jaw.

0:05:160:05:17

There we go. But it's not a dinosaur's head without teeth.

0:05:170:05:21

So, going to take one of the sides of the box that I saved earlier

0:05:210:05:24

and turn it into some rows of razor-sharp gnashers.

0:05:240:05:27

Hee-ya!

0:05:270:05:29

Ninja skills.

0:05:290:05:30

Need to make sure that the white is stuck facing the outside

0:05:330:05:37

so it's got lovely healthy white teeth.

0:05:370:05:39

Little bit of dino dentistry.

0:05:390:05:41

This square is going to be the back of the dinosaur's head.

0:05:420:05:45

I just need to stick it on.

0:05:450:05:47

I'm going to add some nostrils and, for that, a couple of triangles

0:05:490:05:52

cut out from the stuff I printed earlier.

0:05:520:05:54

A bit of scoring and a bit of card bending will sort these out.

0:05:540:05:58

Now I've done the same thing but larger to make the eyelids.

0:05:580:06:02

What do you call a dinosaur with no eyes?

0:06:020:06:04

Do-you-think-he-saurus?

0:06:040:06:06

Yeah, I better add the eyes.

0:06:070:06:09

These are two squares of card stuck on with double-sided tape.

0:06:090:06:12

Now time to try it on.

0:06:130:06:15

But you don't have to make a T-Rex, you could make...

0:06:220:06:24

..a sparkly triceratops with glittery horns and spotty skin.

0:06:260:06:31

Pretty bling! Or maybe...

0:06:330:06:35

..teeth crunching megalodon, with stencilled scales.

0:06:370:06:40

KNOCKS ON DOOR

0:06:450:06:46

-Hi, Dad.

-Ricky?

0:06:490:06:50

RICKY'S TUMMY RUMBLES

0:06:500:06:52

Sorry, that was my tummy.

0:06:520:06:53

Got a massive hunger on.

0:06:530:06:55

I'm hungry too. We could eat that giant egg over there.

0:06:550:06:59

I'm scared to eat that egg.

0:06:590:07:00

It could be a dinosaur's egg.

0:07:000:07:02

Unlikely.

0:07:020:07:04

But you best be careful.

0:07:040:07:06

If he does hatch, he might think you're his mummy.

0:07:060:07:09

Or worse, think how angry his real mummy will be if she catches you

0:07:090:07:12

with her egg.

0:07:120:07:14

Speaking of which, think how angry Mum will be

0:07:150:07:17

if she finds out you're here trying to eat my food again.

0:07:170:07:20

You're right. See you later.

0:07:200:07:23

-Bye, Dad.

-Bye!

0:07:230:07:24

Here's a quick art tip - how to draw a stegosaurus.

0:07:260:07:29

So we're going to start with its head.

0:07:290:07:31

This will be like a kind of leaf shape.

0:07:310:07:33

Over like that.

0:07:330:07:35

Now I'm going to start with its back.

0:07:350:07:37

I'm going to keep the back going out to a point.

0:07:370:07:40

That's going to be the tail. Back in like this.

0:07:400:07:43

And now just underneath the front of the neck, slide that down like that.

0:07:430:07:46

Now I'm going to start drawing its legs.

0:07:460:07:48

Like that.

0:07:480:07:49

Drawing to the belly, now to the back legs.

0:07:530:07:55

And another leg, again behind like that.

0:07:590:08:03

Claws, three on each should do it.

0:08:030:08:05

Let's have a little nostril.

0:08:070:08:09

An eye.

0:08:100:08:12

This one's happy and that's cos he's got

0:08:120:08:14

these awesome plates on his back.

0:08:140:08:16

And, on the tail, a couple of spikes for battling, probably.

0:08:160:08:21

Couple of marks, like this, for scales.

0:08:230:08:26

And there we go.

0:08:260:08:27

Another quick art tip.

0:08:290:08:31

MUSIC PLAYS

0:08:310:08:33

Apart from the movies, the only dinosaur remains these days are fossils.

0:08:430:08:47

I'm going to make a relief created by fossil-like impressions,

0:08:470:08:50

inspired by artist Rachel Whiteread.

0:08:500:08:53

Because, you could say, she made quite an impression on me.

0:08:530:08:56

Oh, hi, Rachel Whiteread!

0:08:580:09:01

I'm famous for making casts of the negative space

0:09:010:09:04

in and under everyday objects.

0:09:040:09:05

I've done the underneath of a bed, the inside of a bath,

0:09:050:09:09

once I even did the whole inside of a house.

0:09:090:09:13

And a shed!

0:09:130:09:14

That sounds really fulfilling.

0:09:150:09:17

Get it? Full-filling?

0:09:170:09:20

Ha...

0:09:200:09:21

In fact, it wouldn't take long to fill a flat this size

0:09:210:09:25

with some liquid concrete and then take off the external walls.

0:09:250:09:30

-Toodle-oo!

-Bye!

0:09:300:09:33

Phew, she's gone.

0:09:330:09:34

I was worried she was going to fill this flat full of concrete.

0:09:340:09:37

Well, that is a relief.

0:09:370:09:39

And so is what I'm going to make - a relief sculpture.

0:09:390:09:42

I'm going to start by rolling out some tinfoil.

0:09:420:09:44

And I'm doubling it up just so it's a bit stronger.

0:09:460:09:48

Chop that bit off.

0:09:480:09:50

Then I've got my old modelling clay here.

0:09:500:09:52

All the old bits pushed together.

0:09:520:09:54

I'm going to flatten it out on my tinfoil using a rolling pin until

0:09:540:09:57

it's about 1cm thick.

0:09:570:09:59

There we are. And I've made sure it's the right size for me to put

0:10:020:10:05

this little plate on it, so I can get a nice circle.

0:10:050:10:07

I'm going to cut off the excess with a lolly stick cos

0:10:070:10:10

I don't want to cut through my foil.

0:10:100:10:12

There we go, lovely and circular.

0:10:150:10:17

Now I'm going to roll out some clingwrap on top of my clay.

0:10:170:10:20

I'm going to push in some little objects and I don't want them to

0:10:200:10:23

stick to the clay. Here's some cool items I've got.

0:10:230:10:27

Got a big old peg, couple of building bricks.

0:10:270:10:31

I'm just going to push them into the clay.

0:10:310:10:33

A little tip here - the deeper you push the shapes in,

0:10:330:10:37

the greater the relief will be.

0:10:370:10:38

OK, now I can take the objects out.

0:10:430:10:44

Should leave behind these lovely impressions.

0:10:450:10:48

I'm just folding up the foil around my modelling clay to make a nice

0:10:530:10:56

bowl shape.

0:10:560:10:58

Here comes the fun bit.

0:10:590:11:00

I've got some water and some plaster of Paris.

0:11:000:11:05

Slowly add the water to the powder.

0:11:060:11:08

This is two parts powder, one part water.

0:11:080:11:11

But you'll need to read the instructions

0:11:110:11:13

on your plaster of Paris.

0:11:130:11:15

You need it to be the consistency of thick cream.

0:11:150:11:18

Time to pour it.

0:11:180:11:20

MUSIC PLAYS

0:11:200:11:23

If you shake the tray, it should get all the bubbles out.

0:11:270:11:30

And I've got a little bit of string here.

0:11:310:11:32

The two loose ends, I'm going to stick into the plaster of Paris,

0:11:320:11:36

so, when it dries in about half an hour, I can hang it up.

0:11:360:11:39

I could wait.

0:11:390:11:41

Or I could use my ninja skills!

0:11:410:11:44

I'll wait for it to dry.

0:11:440:11:45

Only kidding!

0:11:470:11:48

Here's the tricky bit.

0:11:480:11:50

I have to carefully peel it out without breaking it.

0:11:500:11:55

Whoa!

0:11:550:11:57

Check it out.

0:11:570:11:58

I'm going to go hang it up.

0:12:000:12:01

Hang it on the wall.

0:12:030:12:04

There we go.

0:12:040:12:06

I'm impressed with that.

0:12:080:12:09

Speaking of old fossils...

0:12:150:12:17

Hi, Ricky, it's your mum!

0:12:170:12:19

Oh, I know what you're thinking.

0:12:190:12:21

Mum's not an old fossil. I was talking about the art.

0:12:210:12:23

I thought I'd call you in case you call me later

0:12:230:12:26

because we're going for a lovely drive in the country and a picnic.

0:12:260:12:30

Dad's put on a cracking spread,

0:12:300:12:33

and here's what's to come in your cracking show.

0:12:330:12:35

A colourful creature made with flour...

0:12:360:12:38

..art that's egg-cellent...

0:12:400:12:42

..and a toasty picture that's also very tasty.

0:12:440:12:47

Anyway, I'd best leave you to it.

0:12:480:12:50

No doubt you're hatching up some plan.

0:12:500:12:52

-Bye!

-Bye.

0:12:520:12:54

Something's hatching, that's for sure.

0:12:570:12:59

Whatever's in there, it's definitely moving.

0:12:590:13:01

A bit like this picture.

0:13:010:13:03

That's because it's animated.

0:13:030:13:05

Hey, Ricky, this came for you today.

0:13:060:13:08

Oh.

0:13:080:13:09

Thanks, Loz. Oh, yes, it's the new issue of Gnarly To The Max magazine!

0:13:110:13:14

Oh. Where have all the skateboarders gone?

0:13:150:13:18

Mmm. Tastes rad.

0:13:310:13:33

Don't worry, guys, it's just an animation.

0:13:340:13:37

And it's jumping right off the page.

0:13:370:13:39

Now, to make this cool animation, you'll need - some paper, a printer,

0:13:390:13:44

some sticky tack, some scissors, a computer, an action packed video,

0:13:440:13:49

a couple of friends and a tablet with an animation app installed.

0:13:490:13:52

And you can put it together in just three ninja moves.

0:13:530:13:57

Ninja move number one - you need to select the videos you want to use

0:13:570:14:00

for your animation and then export them as an image sequence.

0:14:000:14:03

About 12 frames a second.

0:14:030:14:05

If you don't have an editing package, you can simply use the

0:14:050:14:08

computer screen grab function to grab the frames that you need.

0:14:080:14:11

How about this one of Chris going up a wall?

0:14:110:14:12

He looks so cool there.

0:14:120:14:14

Yeah, I like it.

0:14:140:14:16

All right, let's go with that one.

0:14:160:14:19

-I love that one.

-I like that one.

0:14:190:14:20

Ninja move number two.

0:14:200:14:21

Now you need to print out all your separate frames,

0:14:210:14:24

cut them out and get them ready for animating.

0:14:240:14:28

And once we've cut them out, we've numbered the backs,

0:14:280:14:30

so they don't get animated in the wrong order.

0:14:300:14:32

And as there's quite a bit to cut out,

0:14:320:14:34

it's a good idea to get some friends to help you along the way.

0:14:340:14:37

Ninja move number three.

0:14:370:14:39

Set up your tablet device

0:14:390:14:41

and then find some fun places around your house

0:14:410:14:43

where your little characters can get their groove on.

0:14:430:14:45

Trick here - hold them in place with a little bit of sticky tack and try

0:14:450:14:49

and pick areas that mimic the original angle that the action shots

0:14:490:14:53

were shot from.

0:14:530:14:55

For every new animation frame,

0:14:550:14:58

I use the next cut-out in the sequence of my action video.

0:14:580:15:02

And to keep my animation steady

0:15:060:15:08

I've locked off my tablet device on a tripod.

0:15:080:15:11

OK, so we've shot all of our frames, we've added some cool sound effects.

0:15:110:15:14

I think it's time to take a look at our mini masterpiece.

0:15:140:15:17

-What do you think, guys? BOTH:

-Gnarly to the max!

0:15:260:15:30

Art Ninja!

0:15:300:15:32

QUIET GROWLING

0:15:330:15:35

Don't come out yet, please,

0:15:350:15:36

I've got ninja apprentices and they've got great eggs-pectations.

0:15:360:15:40

Ricky, can you make art with a comb?

0:15:410:15:44

Sorry to brush you off, but not this time.

0:15:440:15:46

Oh!

0:15:460:15:47

Hey, Ricky, you little Art Ninja man, you old cocker!

0:15:470:15:51

Hey, Hacker, you little border terrier dog, you!

0:15:510:15:53

I wondered if you could make anything out of this old bone?

0:15:530:15:56

Ew. That idea's a bit dead.

0:15:580:16:00

It's HUMERUS though, don't you think?

0:16:000:16:03

I better be off.

0:16:030:16:05

-Hey, what's she got?

-Ricky, can you make art with flour?

0:16:050:16:09

That's a great ingredient for art.

0:16:090:16:11

-I choose you.

-Yay!

0:16:110:16:14

-So what's your name?

-Elliha.

-And where you from?

-Birmingham.

0:16:140:16:17

Lovely. Well, I'll just go and grab some bits

0:16:170:16:20

and I'll get on with the art.

0:16:200:16:21

I've got a bowl, spoon, the flour and a sandwich bag.

0:16:210:16:26

I've also got some watercolour paints and some watercolour paper.

0:16:260:16:30

I want to draw a picture of an animal that comes out of an egg.

0:16:300:16:34

-Any ideas?

-Well, some chameleons come out of eggs.

0:16:340:16:37

That's true, they do sometimes come out of eggs.

0:16:370:16:40

I'll draw a chameleon.

0:16:400:16:41

So what I'm doing here is I'm just drawing a nice big pencil line of a

0:16:420:16:45

chameleon holding on to a stick.

0:16:450:16:47

So, do you like to do art?

0:16:470:16:49

-Yes.

-What kind of thing do you like to do?

0:16:490:16:51

-Portraits.

-Portraits?

0:16:510:16:53

-Of who?

-My mum.

0:16:530:16:55

OK. So do you want to see my picture of the chameleon so far?

0:16:550:16:59

-Yes.

-So far, it's looking like this.

0:16:590:17:02

That's amazing.

0:17:020:17:04

So now I am going to get the flour and I'm going to mix it with some

0:17:040:17:08

PVA glue. Squeeze it in.

0:17:080:17:09

Now I'm going to add in the flour, just a little bit at a time.

0:17:120:17:15

And I'm going to stir it in.

0:17:150:17:17

I want it to be not too thick but not too thin.

0:17:170:17:20

So we need it to be running just off the spoon, slightly runny.

0:17:200:17:23

Now this is where it gets quite messy.

0:17:230:17:25

I need to put the flour mix into a sandwich bag.

0:17:250:17:28

Whoo! Now I'm going to seal the bag.

0:17:280:17:30

Snip off the end, the tiniest little bit of the end, like that.

0:17:340:17:39

Now I'm going to pipe it onto my line drawing.

0:17:390:17:41

I'm taking my time now.

0:17:410:17:42

I don't want to push too hard cos the bag might split.

0:17:420:17:45

Right, nearly at the end of this now.

0:17:500:17:53

Just piping the last line along.

0:17:530:17:55

Right, now I'm going to dry my chameleon ninja style.

0:17:550:17:57

Hee-ya!

0:17:570:17:59

Check it out. Got this lovely raised line.

0:17:590:18:02

I'm going to add a rainbow of colours because chameleons can

0:18:020:18:05

change colour.

0:18:050:18:07

I'm going to start by wetting the paper just inside my chameleon.

0:18:070:18:11

And these lovely raised lines hold all the water in,

0:18:110:18:14

ready for the paint.

0:18:140:18:15

OK. I'm going to use watercolour paints,

0:18:160:18:19

starting with this lime green. Lovely.

0:18:190:18:21

I'm going to start on the curly wurly tail.

0:18:210:18:23

Have you ever used watercolours before?

0:18:230:18:26

I've used them for art in school.

0:18:260:18:29

Cool!

0:18:290:18:30

Now I'm going to move on to a darker green.

0:18:300:18:34

So what colour should I do next?

0:18:340:18:35

Blue.

0:18:350:18:37

Yeah, I've moved on with some blue.

0:18:370:18:39

And I'm painting within the lines but not over the raised lines.

0:18:390:18:43

Just keeping nice and clean.

0:18:430:18:44

So what other animals lay eggs?

0:18:440:18:45

Some fish do.

0:18:450:18:48

Did you make that fish yourself?

0:18:480:18:50

-Yes, I did.

-That's brilliant!

0:18:500:18:52

So I'm adding a little bit of pink now after the purple.

0:18:520:18:55

And I'm keeping my big brush ready to add extra water so the paper

0:18:550:18:58

doesn't dry out.

0:18:580:19:00

Little tip here is when you switch to lighter colours,

0:19:020:19:06

change and use some clean water.

0:19:060:19:08

What would you do if you could change colour like a chameleon?

0:19:080:19:10

I would win hide and seek.

0:19:100:19:13

Oh, you totally would win hide and seek!

0:19:130:19:16

Right, I'm just going to finish off just by painting the eye.

0:19:160:19:19

That is just a dark black.

0:19:190:19:22

-Are you ready to see it?

-Yes.

0:19:220:19:24

Check it out.

0:19:240:19:26

Nature's most surprising animal.

0:19:260:19:28

It looks like an actual chameleon.

0:19:280:19:31

I'm so happy with it, I think it deserves a frame.

0:19:310:19:33

-What mark would you give it?

-A ten!

0:19:330:19:36

Wow, look at that ten!

0:19:360:19:38

-Thank you for your suggestion. Bye-bye!

-Bye!

0:19:380:19:41

Right. What can I eat?

0:19:490:19:52

Toast!

0:19:530:19:54

Oh!

0:20:030:20:04

I've got nothing to put on it.

0:20:060:20:07

I'm so hungry. I'm starting to feel a bit faint.

0:20:090:20:12

I must pay attention.

0:20:120:20:14

Omm.

0:20:150:20:17

It's the grand master!

0:20:170:20:19

Omm. Whoa...

0:20:190:20:21

I'm OK, man!

0:20:220:20:24

Greetings, dude!

0:20:240:20:25

I haven't got long. I'm really hungry.

0:20:270:20:30

I have food.

0:20:300:20:31

Oh, great!

0:20:310:20:33

Food for thought.

0:20:330:20:36

-Ah.

-Step number 888 to enlightenment.

0:20:360:20:40

I wish I had 'ate'.

0:20:400:20:42

A mechanical oval yolk holder.

0:20:420:20:45

A cracking egg surprise.

0:20:460:20:48

Yeah!

0:20:480:20:50

You need to start with some card, dudes.

0:20:500:20:53

Pierce the card with a pencil and modelling clay.

0:20:540:20:57

Do it on one end and in the middle.

0:21:000:21:03

Make little crosses with the card.

0:21:050:21:08

Connect them together with pipe cleaners.

0:21:080:21:11

Twist and lock, guys.

0:21:110:21:13

Make two and connect them.

0:21:130:21:15

This can be fiddly!

0:21:260:21:28

Draw an egg shape...

0:21:340:21:36

..with some cracks.

0:21:380:21:39

Next, draw a smiley snake...

0:21:410:21:44

..and give it some colour.

0:21:480:21:49

Cut out the egg.

0:21:520:21:53

Surprise!

0:21:570:21:58

And the snake.

0:22:010:22:02

Put some glue on the snake and the card.

0:22:050:22:08

And glue everything together, dudes!

0:22:090:22:12

A mechanical oval yolk holder!

0:22:140:22:16

Cool. Lesson 888 complete.

0:22:160:22:23

Thanks, grand master. I am enlightened.

0:22:230:22:26

-You're a good egg.

-You are most welcome.

0:22:260:22:29

Omm...

0:22:320:22:33

I'm so hungry!

0:22:350:22:37

I think I've started to see things.

0:22:370:22:39

SOUND OF EGG CRACKING

0:22:390:22:41

Uh-oh, what if it's a dinosaur after all?

0:22:430:22:46

Ta-dah!

0:22:490:22:50

Ew! A Gava-saurus?

0:22:500:22:54

Why are you looking so scared, mate?

0:22:540:22:56

And why have you got all those plates of toast?

0:22:560:22:58

I'm so hungry I'm imagining things.

0:23:010:23:04

Still, all these plates of toast have given me a great idea.

0:23:040:23:07

0:23:100:23:12

-Hi, Ricky.

-Hey, Sarah. Let's have a picnic.

0:23:120:23:15

You bring the spread, I'll meet you at the park.

0:23:280:23:30

So, Sarah, ready for a picnic?

0:23:300:23:32

Yeah, I bought all the jams and spreads you asked for.

0:23:320:23:34

Sweet, cos I have a bag jam packed full of toast.

0:23:340:23:38

You haven't got anything I could eat right now? I'm a bit peckish.

0:23:380:23:41

-Why don't you have some of your bag toast?

-No, that's for the art.

0:23:410:23:43

-Scone?

-All right, then.

0:23:430:23:46

Hit me with the cream.

0:23:460:23:47

Do you want some jam with that?

0:23:540:23:55

Oh, um... No, thank you.

0:23:550:23:57

It's time to get our ninjam on.

0:23:570:23:59

Art Ninja!

0:24:060:24:07

-Strike a pose.

-Art Ninja!

0:24:100:24:12

Now, Sarah, before we eat our picnic,

0:24:150:24:17

we're going to use all this toast and this spread to make some art.

0:24:170:24:20

-How are we going to do that?

-I'll show you.

0:24:200:24:22

-You grab a slice.

-OK.

-I'll just open this for you.

0:24:220:24:25

-I've got it.

-Give it here.

0:24:260:24:29

It's pretty solid.

0:24:290:24:30

-And then what?

-Spread it on.

-OK.

0:24:310:24:35

I loosened it first.

0:24:350:24:36

Now, Sarah, we've got a lot of these to get through.

0:24:360:24:39

So let's get spreading.

0:24:390:24:40

Wasp!

0:24:470:24:49

So what would be great on this one - half yellow and half orange.

0:24:550:24:58

-But I'll pass over a nice marmalade.

-OK.

0:24:580:25:01

Right, I'm going to go nuts now, Sarah.

0:25:040:25:06

I'm going to cover this in some crunchy peanut butter.

0:25:060:25:09

Wasp, wasp, wasp!

0:25:120:25:13

Add in just a little bit of this chocolate spread.

0:25:160:25:18

Might as well. There we go.

0:25:180:25:20

That's going to be a little bit of detail for our picture.

0:25:200:25:22

Excellent.

0:25:220:25:23

Here you go, Sarah, you can have a bit of this.

0:25:270:25:29

-Bit of lime marmalade, bit of mustard.

-Ew!

0:25:290:25:32

I'm hungry but I'm not that hungry.

0:25:320:25:34

I think we've done enough pieces now to start making our picture.

0:25:370:25:40

-Cool.

-Follow me.

But, Sarah, my hands are all sticky and covered in jam.

0:25:580:26:01

Argh!

0:26:020:26:03

Stop messing around.

0:26:030:26:05

Sarah, have you got anything to make these wasps clear off?

0:26:050:26:09

-Water?

-Anything!

0:26:090:26:10

-I can't hear them any more.

-Great.

Now, I think our toast and spread art is the best thing

since sliced bread.

0:26:310:26:33

This looks awesome!

0:26:420:26:43

Some might say it looks egg-cellent.

0:26:430:26:45

Nice!

0:26:470:26:48

Oh, no, the wasps are coming! It sounds like they're bringing loads

0:26:490:26:52

-of their friends.

-Leave it, Ricky, it's not worth it!

0:26:520:26:55

I'll come get the rest later.

Toasty. What a day.

0:27:120:27:15

Night-night, egg.

0:27:150:27:16

Today has taught me a valuable Art Ninja lesson.

0:27:160:27:20

All good things come to those who wait,

0:27:200:27:22

but toast doesn't always belong on a plate.

0:27:220:27:25

What a great picnic, but boy was I hungry.

0:27:250:27:28

STOMACH RUMBLES

0:27:280:27:30
