Do you remember how we used

engineering to get your go-kart go-go-going in the Wheelie Day race?

-Um...can we check that, Bitz?

-HE LAUGHS

Bob's go-kart didn't have a checklist to make it race-ready,

and it soon turned into a no-go-kart.

You did tighten all the bolts, didn't you?

Uh...yes?

Um, maybe I missed that one.

It's time for a Bitz brain blitz!

Bob didn't check all of his bolts before the race started

and his go-kart came apart.

If I make a checklist for Bob's

go-kart, then we can use it to make sure nothing gets missed.

Now, it's your turn to try.

Look - she's making paper aeroplanes.

They all look quite different.

But our friend's on hand with a checklist.

He's checking for two important details

that help a paper aeroplane fly well -

a pointy nose and level wings.

If they get a cross, the plane is

missing something important and needs fixing.

When there's a tick, it's good to go.

Now they've all passed the checklist, time for takeoff!

Oh, yeah! Awesome!

A checklist got my go-kart going, too.

-Tick.

-Right.

BOB GRUNTS

-Ah! And...

Ah. Perfect.

-Yes!

Now, we're going to race balloon cars

but use our checklist to make sure they're built correctly.

Let's race! Go!

Whoops! That didn't go well.

You're right! Their cars aren't working.

Let's get them back to the garage and check them over.

How will they know what's wrong with them?

Well, both teams have a checklist.

They're checking each part of their car using their list.

Balloon...check.

Wheel...check... Oh, hang on a minute - there's no wheel.

They followed the checklist, and now they can fix their car.

Wheel...check.

Tape...check... Ah! Look, Bitz -

the tape's not in place.

Now, they'll know how to fix their car, too!
