Bobland Bay's going really well, squirrels and rabbits,

we've been helping Bob build loads!

What have I been doing?

Umm, well, Bob hasn't needed anything flattening for a bit.

And flattening's what I do, isn't it!

Yeah, I would like to do some. Let's see if Bob's got some for me today.

So, this is going to be a botanical garden?

That's right. A garden full of rare and beautiful plants.

But it's just a field full of dips and bumps!

Ahh, it is now, Muck.

But we're going to landscape it, make it into a beautiful shape.

Make a field into a shape? How do you do that?

First we need gravel. You can fetch some from the quarry.

Oh, OK, Bob! On my way!

Farmer Pickles is sorting the plants,

This one needs lots of water,

this one needs lots of sun,

shade for this one.

Will they all be OK in our botanical garden?

As long as there are different places to plant them -

sunny places, shady places, windy places.

Well, look at these botanical gardens.

There are usually a few hills.

So the plants that need lots of wind and sun can go on top of them.

Some little valleys are quite good.

For plants that like shelter and shade.

So, in summary, flat is not what we're after.

Oh. Oh! But Roley said he was going to start right away!

Oh, no! We've got to stop him. Quick!

Wow, this really is flat, Roley!

Flat as a pancake!

It was a lot of work but it was easy with that song to sing.

Roley, what have you done?!

It's just what Mr Beasley wanted, Bob. A flat garden.

Turns out that different plants

-needed different places... or something.

-We need hills!

-And little valleys.

But that garden's not flat at all!

No! I'm sorry, Roley, but we'll have to start all over again.

Oh, no! I just wanted to show you what a good flattener I am.

But all I've done is make everyone work really hard for nothing!

And it's not the only thing you can do.

I'm sure there's another way you can help.

Come on everyone, I know you've already worked really hard.

-But you're going to need to build some valleys.

-And dig up some hills.
