Look at that. Space.
It's a big old place, not somewhere to go wandering off on your own.
But if we were to wander into space, just in our imaginations,
then I'm sure we would see some strange things
and strange creatures out there.
Look, there's one!
A chicken made entirely out of iron.
Let's go down and visit her, shall we?
Oh, look. There's Mother Wol and her three Little Wols.
They're rather strange creatures too.
Mother Wol wants to know
if the Iron Chicken can look after her little ones for a while.
She needs to fly off and get some things for her new nest.
And, of course, the kind Iron Chicken is happy to help.
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Yes, the little Wols say they will behave themselves.
Hmm. What to do with the little Wols?
-Ah, yes, a game.
-Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Ah, the Wols have thought of a game themselves.
It's called round and round the nest.
Hoo-oo! Hoo! Hoo-oo!
It's making the Iron Chicken rather dizzy.
Uh-oh! There are only two Wols here.
What's that noise?
-Oh, the little Wol is playing with the radio thing.
That won't do.
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
No, that won't do either.
Where's the other one?
There it is.
Ah, it looks like the Iron Chicken has thought of a new game.
Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo!
The Iron Chicken is playing a peekaboo game with them.
And they like it.
Now the Iron Chicken wants to know
if the little Wols would like to meet her friend.
-Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo.
-I think that's a yes.
Hoo-hoo hoo, hoo-hoo hoo.
It looks like that friend is Tiny Clanger.
-Bok-bok buh, bok-buh-buh.
Of course, Tiny Clanger would love to come and meet the little Wols.
Oh, dear. Small's using the Music Boat to go fishing.
And Tiny was hoping to use it to visit the Wols.
Small has a plan.
He can take Tiny to the nest, go fishing, and pick her up afterwards.
That's a good plan. Then everyone's happy.
Oh, dear. Small's forgotten something.
Oo-woo doo, doo-woo-oo-oo.
Tiny's wondering where the little Wols are.
Ohh! Buk-buh-bok, bok-buh-buh.
Ah, they're playing hide and seek.
And the Wols have hidden in the Music Boat.
-Buk-buh-boh buh. Buk buh-buh!
Small's decided not to wait.
He's keen to get on with his fishing.
Oh, dear. The Wols haven't picked a very sensible hiding place.
Not very sensible at all.
Oh, yes, and Small's forgotten his fishing rod.
He'll just have to go back and get it.
There they are.
I don't think the little Wols expected to find themselves here.
-Oo-doo woo oo-doo-woo.
They do look worried.
They want to get back to the nest and the Iron Chicken.
That's right, Small. Those little Wols musn't go off on their own.
Oh, that's good.
The clever Froglet is keeping them entertained.
The poor Iron Chicken and Tiny are getting very worried.
They've searched everywhere for the little Wols.
They don't know they're down on the Clangers planet.
Tiny's going to look through the telescope for them.
And the Iron Chicken is going to fly off and look for them too.
Baw-aw, bok-buh, bok-bok-buh-buh!
Bok, bok, buh.
Baw bok-bok buh.
The Iron Chicken is telling off the little Wols
for running away.
But Small says they were very surprised to find themselves here.
They weren't running away on purpose.
They didn't know the thing they were hiding in would take them away.
They didn't know it was a special boat.
-Bok-bok buh-buh-buh, bok-buh.
The Iron Chicken tells them they must be more careful in future.
Oh, that must be the Hoots playing their music on the Hoot planet.
And the Wols want to visit them.
The Iron Chicken says they can go.
Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo!
But they must always stay with her...
..and never go off on their own.
There goes the Iron Chicken.
And there go the little Wols.
And there goes Small, bringing up the rear.
And now Tiny's joined them too.
Here they all are at the Hoot planet.
THE HOOTS PLAY
THEY SING ALONG
# Hoo, hoo hoo-hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo-ooo. #
It's Mother Wol, come to collect her little ones.
Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo.
Baw bok-buh buk.
Yes, Little Wols, you can go to your mother now.
Bok bok-buh bok bok. Bok buh-buh!
There go the Wols,
off to their new nest in the sky.
I think the Iron Chicken rather liked looking after those
little ones. Perhaps they'll visit her again some time soon.
Mother Wol asks the Iron Chicken if she will look after her three little Wols while she goes to get some things for her new nest. The Iron Chicken is happy to do so, but she hasn't counted on them being so boisterous.
