Round and Round Clangers

There's our planet, planet Earth.

It's a busy place, with everyone rushing around, hither and thither

and sometimes we get in each other's way,

which can be a bit annoying.

But we usually manage to sort things out and get along.

And there's the Clangers' planet.

It's a busy place too, with lots of rushing about.

Let's go down and visit and you'll see what I mean.

There's a glow buzzer.

And there's Small Clanger and Tiny Clanger.

It looks like they're playing chase with the glow buzzer.

MOTHER SINGING

Into the garden cave...

Ooh! Watch out for Mother!

Through the soup well cave.

And back to the big living cave.

They've gone right around the caves and back to where they started.

Oh, they're off again!

Mother's had enough of little Clangers rushing through her garden.

Her poor flowers need their water.

And now there's a froglet too!

She's locked the door.

Now perhaps she'll get some peace.

Ah, the glow buzzer's got away.

Small's going to try and find it.

Perhaps it's in the garden?

KNOCK KNOCK!

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Mother's telling Small that the garden is closed at the moment.

"Fair enough." Small doesn't mind.

"No, the garden is closed for watering! Even to dragons."

The Soup Dragon says that two can play at that game. Hmm.

STONES CLINKING

The Soup Dragon says if the garden cave is closed,

then the soup well cave is closed too.

Baby Soup Dragon tells the others that the Soup Dragon

won't allow Mother into the soup well caves.

Major's not going to stand for that.

A traffic cone?

Major's been wondering what to do with that for some time.

Major tells the Soup Dragon that if Mother's not allowed

in the soup well caves,

then the Soup Dragon isn't allowed in the living cave.

Oh, dear. Things aren't going well.

Not well at all. Everyone's being very stubborn.

What a predicament!

Tiny's right, they ARE being silly.

But Granny's right too, it's best to leave them to it.

They'll sort themselves out soon enough.

Look, Mother's already realised

she's being a bit silly and stubborn.

And she's off to say sorry to Tiny and Small.

Now the Soup Dragon has realised she's being silly too.

She's off to find Mother.

And Major too!

He's come to his senses at last.

He's off to find the Soup Dragon.

Now Mother's off to find the Soup Dragon too.

No, there's no Mother Clanger here.

And there's no Soup Dragon here.

The Soup Dragon wants to know where Mother has got to.

Ho-ho! This is getting silly.

Still no-one here.

Ha-ha!

Ah, Mother's had an idea. She's going to head back the way she came.

That might just work.

Oh, no! The Soup Dragon has had exactly the same idea.

And Major Clanger too!

Ha-ha! Can you believe it?

They're doing the same thing, only in the other direction.

Major wants to know what's so funny?

Mother and the Soup Dragon are missing!

They've completely disappeared!

Ha-ha! Granny's right! They've all just been going round and round.

Round and round, like Tiny and Small and their glow buzzer game.

Yes, now everyone's seen the funny side.

And - oh, good - everyone has made up.

Yes, after all that chasing around, they deserve soup, and lots of it.

There they all are, enjoying soup and happy to be together

and friends once again.

As I say, the Clangers' planet is a busy place

with lots of rushing about and sometimes getting each other's way.

But, like us, they manage to sort things out in the end.
