The ducks had a new bicycle.

They couldn't wait to go out for a ride.

So they packed a picnic and off they went.

Dad Duck at the front, then Mum Duck,

then Uncle Dan, then Ben,

then Suli, and right at the back, Norman.

-Oh, no! Look at the rope!

-Do you think they'll notice?

"Dad?" said Norman.

"Not now, Norman," said Dad.

"Look at the view."

"Mum?" said Norman.

"Not now, Norman," said Mum, "We'll be there soon."

-Cor, look at that!

-They still haven't noticed!

"Uncle Dan?" said Norman.

"Not now, Norman," said Uncle Dan,

"It's hard work pedalling uphill."

"Ben? Suli?" said Norman.

"Not now, Norman," said Ben and Suli,

"We're nearly at the top."

"Ah, that's better," said Dad.

"What did you want to tell us, Norman?"

"The rope!" cried Norman.

"Do something!" shouted Dad to Mum.

"Do something!" shouted Mum to Uncle Dan.

"Do something!" shouted Uncle Dan to Ben.

"Do something!" shouted Ben to Suli.

"Do something!" shouted Suli to Norman.

Norman quickly untied the rope.

"Nice one, Norman!" shouted Dad and Mum and Uncle Dan.

"Nice one, Norman!" shouted Ben and Suli.

The ducks ate all the picnic, tidied everything away,

-and set off for home.

-Uh-oh!

"Dad?" said Norman.

"Not now, Norman," said Dad, "Enjoy the sunset."

So that's what Norman did.
