It's Tallulah and Loopy and the Vrooms. They're racing!

Tallulah, Loopy and the Vrooms, all racing and chasing.

Watch out, Vrooms, I'm catching you! Wheeee!

Slow down, Vrooms, I'm tired! Wait for me!

Hello, everyone. Hello, Loopy. Not chasing the Vrooms?

No, we were playing whizzy wheels but I can't keep up with them.

Once the Vrooms start those whirly twirlers, off they go.

You can chase them on your skates. Huh! Wheels are boring.

I want to fly like the Vrooms. That would be lovely-tastic!

Hello, Driver Dan. Hi, Twinkle.

Loopy, you are really good at doing whizzy wheels.

But I want to be a super-duper swooper.

Whoa! A two-wheel turn.

You try, Tallulah. I'm better at keeping my wheels on the ground.

I want to fly like the Vrooms! BEEP-BEEP!

I'm not sure you will be able to. I think I can. Flying Loopy! Wahey!

Do you think Loopy could fly? No, you need wings to fly.

He could bounce on his trampoline. Good idea!

Loopy, try bouncing high on your trampoline. Oh, yes, Loopy,

that would be like flying. Great idea!

But that would be just bouncing, not flying really fast through the air.

You can bounce fast and high. I've got something that might help.

My very best flying helmet. It will help keep you safe too.

This is just bouncing up and down.

But you really need wings to fly, like Twinkle has.

The only wings are from Milly and Lilly's dressing-up box.

Stick to being a bouncy dinosaur. You are the best at bouncing.

I want to fly! Zooming through the air really fast, like the Vrooms.

But maybe you're right, Tallulah.

Flying, whizzy wheels, zooming, bouncing - it's been fun today.

Well done, Loopy. You flew! Hooray!

That was brilliant!

Now you're a flying dinosaur. The flying bit was great

but the landing bit was a bit scary. My knees went wobbly.

You don't want to try again? No, thanks.

I'm a skating and bouncing dinosaur. I'll leave flying to the Vrooms.

We deserve a story after all that.

We're having a story.

I think it will be about flying. Whizzy wheels. Or wobbly knees!

Is everyone ready for a story? A whizzy, zoomy, flying one.

A-ha! I know just the book.

Is everyone ready to listen? I'm ready! And me!

And all of you? Sitting down comfy? We're ready!

This story is called Big Bear's Best Job,

by Art Taylor, and the pictures are by Sam Church.

Big Bear lived in the quiet forest with all his friends.

Every day he did big bear things -

growly, getting honey, tree-climby things.

All things that big bears do best. He's good at climbing trees! He is.

Today he had a thought. "What else can I do?" he wondered.

So that morning, before the other creatures woke up,

Big Bear tiptoed out of the forest and went to the noisy town.

He saw an advert - "Wanted, someone big and strong to drive a bus."

"That would be perfect," he thought.

But when the children saw the big bear driver, they all ran off.

"Hmmm," he thought, "maybe not the job for me."

He saw another advert. This one said,

"Wanted, someone to help with the food."

He loved food. He could definitely do that.

But a great big and very hungry bear

in a tiny cafe full of delicious things didn't work out.

He thought it best if he tried something else.

He tried being a station announcer but was way too growly and loud.

He tried being a decorator but got paint all over his fur.

He tried being a window cleaner

but the sight of a big, soggy bear just put everyone off.

Poor Big Bear! He's trying very hard, isn't he? Yes, he is!

The next day, in the park, Big Bear saw another advert in the paper.

"Wanted, someone big, furry and growly."

"Must like honey and climbing trees."

"Please apply to the animals in the quiet forest."

When Big Bear arrived back in the forest,

all his friends were delighted to see him.

Big Bear thought about all the jobs he had tried

but he knew that growly, getting honey, tree-climby things

were the things he liked the most and did the best.
