0:00:410:00:45

Twinkle, have you spotted someone? I can't see who it is, can you?

0:00:470:00:51

It's Hip and Hop and Sweetie's carriage.

0:00:510:00:54

Look, they're over there! They're having a picnic.

0:00:540:00:58

I love picnics. ALL: Yeah, me too.

0:00:580:01:01

Well spotted. Sweetie said she was going on a picnic with Hip and Hop.

0:01:010:01:05

I said we would pick them up,

0:01:050:01:07

but first, I have to go and get a new book for the library carriage.

0:01:070:01:11

See you in a bit. Bye!

0:01:110:01:14

Mm! I love carrot cake. Your cake is really yummy, Sweetie.

0:01:160:01:21

These carrots from your garden are the crunchiest, munchiest ever.

0:01:210:01:27

Thank you, Hop. Picnics are so much fun, aren't they?

0:01:270:01:30

All: We love picnics! Yummy, scrummy picnics.

0:01:300:01:35

ALL: Yes, we love picnics. Lots and lots to eat. Yeah!

0:01:350:01:40

BLEEPING Listen, can you hear that?

0:01:400:01:43

-What did you hear, Hip?

-I'm not sure. A bleepy-bloopy noise.

0:01:430:01:48

Oh, Hip!

0:01:480:01:51

We love picnics!

0:01:520:01:54

I do love picnics, but will they want me to join in?

0:01:550:02:00

-I'm really full.

-Great picnic, Sweetie.

0:02:000:02:04

Let's clear up before Driver Dan gets here.

0:02:040:02:06

Yeah, I'll get the plates, Hop. Would you take the cups, please?

0:02:060:02:11

I'll save some cake for Driver Dan.

0:02:110:02:15

I'm sure they won't mind if I have a little picnic, too.

0:02:160:02:20

What do I need? Hmm.

0:02:200:02:23

Picnics need plates and cups.

0:02:230:02:25

Yes, plates and cups. Bippity bip!

0:02:250:02:28

Let's go back and get the rest. Come on, Hop.

0:02:280:02:32

Plates and cups!

0:02:320:02:35

Perfect for picnics. Bip-bip!

0:02:350:02:37

Listen, Hop. It's that sound again.

0:02:420:02:45

I did hear it, honestly.

0:02:450:02:47

Picnics. One, two, three plates.

0:02:500:02:54

Now, a picnic needs food.

0:02:540:02:56

Yummy, scrummy food.

0:02:560:02:59

Crunchy, munchy carrot. Bip-bip brilliant.

0:02:590:03:02

Hey, Hip. Where did the plates and cups go?

0:03:020:03:06

You put them away, not me.

0:03:060:03:09

Maybe Sweetie moved them. Never mind. Let's go and get the blanket.

0:03:090:03:13

Oh! Crunchy, munchy carrots! Bip-bip brilliant!

0:03:150:03:20

Missing plates and cups? Oh yeah, Hop, good trick.

0:03:200:03:26

-Come on.

-Hold on, it wasn't me!

0:03:260:03:30

Oh, I've got the carrots but we really need those plates and cups.

0:03:320:03:38

This time no more disappearing plate tricks, Hop.

0:03:380:03:42

-It wasn't me, Hip, honestly. Really!

-Is everything cleared away?

0:03:420:03:48

Maybe if Hop would stop playing funny tricks with the plates.

0:03:480:03:53

-I think it was you.

-You two silly rabbits.

0:03:530:03:57

Oh, look! It's the Story Train.

0:03:570:04:00

Hello, Sweetie. Hi, Hip and Hop. How was the picnic?

0:04:000:04:04

Hello, Driver Dan. Super yummy.

0:04:040:04:07

-Sweetie made a scrummy carrot cake.

-I saved a piece for you.

0:04:070:04:11

Thank you. I'll have it later. Are we cleared up and ready to go?

0:04:110:04:16

Nearly, Driver Dan. Just got to get the blanket.

0:04:160:04:19

And we sang a special song, like this.

0:04:190:04:23

ALL: We love picnics.

0:04:230:04:25

ALL: Yummy, scrummy picnics.

0:04:250:04:28

I love picnics. Bippity-bip. Oh, hello.

0:04:280:04:32

-Hello to you, too.

-Look! The plates!

0:04:320:04:36

And the bowls, and everything else.

0:04:360:04:39

See, Hip? It wasn't me.

0:04:390:04:41

No, it was me. I wanted to have a picnic too.

0:04:410:04:45

Do you mind?

0:04:450:04:47

I'm sure it's fine. I'm Driver Dan.

0:04:470:04:50

This is Sweetie and Twinkle and these two are Hip and Hop.

0:04:500:04:54

-Lovely to meet you.

-My name is Bippity.

0:04:540:04:57

It's very nice to meet you, Bippity.

0:04:570:05:00

Yeah. Hey, Bippity, do you like stories?

0:05:000:05:04

-BEEPING

-Yes! I love stories.

0:05:040:05:07

Driver Dan, could Bippity come with us to Story Corner?

0:05:070:05:11

I think that's a great idea.

0:05:110:05:13

-What do you think, Bippity?

-B-B-B-Brilliant!

0:05:130:05:16

Let's find your carriage and go to Story Corner.

0:05:160:05:19

ALL: Yey! Story Corner!

0:05:190:05:22

Bippity, Bippity.

0:05:220:05:24

We picked up Bippity and his carriage,

0:05:240:05:27

and if you are ready too, let's go.

0:05:270:05:29

ALL: All aboard the Story Train! It's time for a story.

0:05:290:05:34

Bippity can come too. He'll love Story Corner.

0:05:340:05:37

-Is everyone ready for a story?

-Are you ready, Bippity?

0:05:530:05:58

Oh, yes. I would love to hear a story too, Driver Dan.

0:05:580:06:02

Aha! I know just the book.

0:06:020:06:04

A new book for a new friend.

0:06:040:06:07

Is everybody settled down and ready to listen?

0:06:070:06:11

And all of you sitting down comfy and ready to listen?

0:06:110:06:15

This story is called the Big Blue Bumpalump.

0:06:150:06:18

Art Taylor wrote it and Lawrie Stansfield did the pictures.

0:06:180:06:22

Prince Huffanpuff was a happy prince.

0:06:220:06:26

He ruled over a happy kingdom.

0:06:260:06:28

But recently, Prince Huffanpuff had become worried,

0:06:280:06:32

for he had heard that a big blue bumpalump

0:06:320:06:35

had moved into a cave close to his castle.

0:06:350:06:38

Oh, a bumpalump! What is a bumpalump?

0:06:380:06:42

We'll see. Now, no-one had actually seen the bumpalump,

0:06:420:06:46

but the villagers had heard it was as high as a very tall tree

0:06:460:06:49

and had lots of shaggy, blue fur.

0:06:490:06:52

It was said it had large, stompy feet and huge hands with claws

0:06:520:06:58

and two or maybe three enormous horns and lots of very,

0:06:580:07:02

very big yellow teeth.

0:07:020:07:05

And stories were told that when it walked,

0:07:050:07:08

the ground shook with a huge bumpalump sound.

0:07:080:07:12

And when it roared, the windows would rattle and everyone

0:07:120:07:15

said that the bumpalump was bumpy, lumpy and downright grumpy.

0:07:150:07:20

-GIGGLING

-Bumpy and lumpy!

0:07:200:07:23

Prince Huffanpuff had decided the bumpalump

0:07:230:07:26

was the most fearsome creature in the kingdom when a messenger ran in.

0:07:260:07:31

"He's coming!" The messenger cried.

0:07:310:07:34

The big blue bumpalump is coming. "Help," cried the Prince.

0:07:340:07:38

But his knights all clattered away as fast as they could.

0:07:380:07:42

Prince Huffanpuff hid under his blankets.

0:07:420:07:45

"Shut the gates," he squealed. "Call the guards! Everyone hide."

0:07:450:07:51

Down on the courtyard, the only person left was a small girl

0:07:510:07:55

called Jasmine, who was busy sweeping up the hay.

0:07:550:07:59

There was a loud knocking at the castle gates.

0:07:590:08:02

Bump, bump, bump.

0:08:020:08:04

Jasmine had heard that the big blue bumpalump was bumpy and lumpy

0:08:040:08:09

and she had been warned that he was even quite grumpy.

0:08:090:08:12

But she had never actually seen a bumpalump before so,

0:08:120:08:16

very slowly, she opened the gate.

0:08:160:08:19

"Hi, there," said the bumpalump,

0:08:200:08:23

"I've just moved into the cave next door

0:08:230:08:26

"and I thought I'd meet the neighbours."

0:08:260:08:29

Jasmine smiled. "What lovely flowers. Do come in." She said.

0:08:290:08:33

The guards, knights and villagers peeped out from their hiding places.

0:08:330:08:38

Then Prince Huffanpuff strode into the courtyard.

0:08:380:08:42

Jasmine, you are the bravest person in the whole castle.

0:08:420:08:46

"From now on, you will no longer sweep the hay.

0:08:460:08:49

"You will be in charge of all my knights and guards."

0:08:490:08:52

And Prince Huffanpuff, Jasmine and the big blue bumpalump

0:08:520:08:56

sat down to a fantastic feast,

0:08:560:08:58

followed by a brilliant bumpy, lumpy ride around the castle.

0:08:580:09:03

-The end. Wasn't that a good story?

-Yes. Lumpy and bumpy.

0:09:030:09:09

And now it's your turn.

0:09:090:09:11

It's time to show me the story.

0:09:110:09:13

ALL: Clip, clop, clip, clop.

0:09:140:09:17

-I'm riding my horse like the Prince.

-So am I.

0:09:170:09:21

-I'm being a big blue bumpalump.

-Me too.

0:09:210:09:25

Stomp, stomp, stomp!

0:09:250:09:27

Now I'm roaring like the bumpalump.

0:09:270:09:30

ALL: Quick! Run away!

0:09:320:09:34

Everybody hide!

0:09:340:09:36

-He's not scary at all.

-Hello, bumpalump.

0:09:360:09:40

Hello.

0:09:400:09:43

-We are at the feast now.

-There is lots of lovely food.

0:09:430:09:47

Let's all ride around with the bumpalump.

0:09:470:09:50

That looked great fun. Thanks, everyone.

0:09:500:09:53

You were great at showing me the story.

0:09:530:09:56

Prince Huffanpuff and Jasmine

0:09:560:09:58

enjoyed playing with their new friend.

0:09:580:10:00

I liked hearing the story with my new friends.

0:10:000:10:04

What a great day we have had.

0:10:040:10:06

The delicious picnic, a new book and a new friend.

0:10:060:10:09

It's time to go now.

0:10:090:10:11

Bippity can come and have a story whenever he likes.

0:10:110:10:14

Oh yes, please. Stories are great. And maybe another picnic?

0:10:140:10:20

BOTH: Yeah!

0:10:200:10:22

All right, everyone. Time to go. All aboard!

0:10:220:10:25

ALL: All aboard the Story Train.

0:10:250:10:29

Bye, everyone. It's time to go.

0:10:310:10:34

Let's come back soon, because we all love stories.

0:10:340:10:37

Bye, Driver Dan.

0:10:370:10:40

I love stories about robots.

0:10:450:10:47

I like stories about naughty rabbits.

0:10:470:10:50

And picnics!

0:10:500:10:51

And crunchy carrots! Crunch, crunch.
