CHIRP CHIRP

0:00:470:00:49

Twinkle, have you spotted someone? I can't see who it is. Can you?

0:00:490:00:54

Boing, boing!

0:00:560:00:58

Green and bouncy.

0:00:580:01:00

It's Loopy.

0:01:000:01:03

Listen, I can hear a bell. Ding ding.

0:01:030:01:06

It sounds like Precious.

0:01:060:01:09

There she is. Precious!

0:01:090:01:11

-Look, there's her carriage.

-Bippity's carriage is there too.

0:01:110:01:16

But I can't see Bippity.

0:01:160:01:18

You're right, it is Loopy and Precious,

0:01:180:01:21

but I can't see Bippity. I wonder what they're doing. Let's find out.

0:01:210:01:26

Hello, Driver Dan.

0:01:350:01:37

-Hello, you two. Are you building a sandcastle?

-Maybe.

0:01:370:01:41

Or maybe we're going to jump in muddy puddles.

0:01:410:01:44

-Wa-hey!

-That looks like fun, Loopy.

0:01:440:01:47

You're right, Driver Dan. Jumping in muddy puddles does look like fun!

0:01:470:01:52

Yippee!

0:01:520:01:54

Wa-hey!

0:01:540:01:56

But...what if we build the biggest sandcastle ever?

0:01:560:02:01

With towers and a moat! Ooh!

0:02:010:02:05

Oh, so you are going to build a sandcastle, Precious.

0:02:050:02:09

Hmm. Maybe building a sandcastle would be fun.

0:02:090:02:14

Let's build a sandcastle. We could put flags on the towers.

0:02:140:02:18

Hmm. But playing in muddy puddles is fun too.

0:02:180:02:22

Oh, dear, Twinkle.

0:02:220:02:24

I don't think Loopy and Precious can choose which game to play.

0:02:240:02:28

Why don't you play both games?

0:02:280:02:30

Jumping in muddy puddles and in the sandpit.

0:02:300:02:33

But what shall we play first?

0:02:330:02:36

Um...

0:02:360:02:38

Hello, everyone.

0:02:380:02:41

What are you playing?

0:02:410:02:42

Hello, Bippity, we're building sandcastles.

0:02:420:02:45

Or we're playing in muddy puddles.

0:02:450:02:48

Split, splat, splot.

0:02:480:02:50

Loopy and Precious can't choose what to play first.

0:02:500:02:54

-Which game would you choose to play first, Bippity?

-Um...

0:02:540:02:58

sandcastles or muddy puddles?

0:02:580:03:01

Um...I was thinking it would be fun to play hide-and-seek today.

0:03:010:03:07

-TWINKLE TWEETS

-Oh! I love playing hide-and-seek.

0:03:070:03:12

Oh, yes, that's a great idea, Bippity.

0:03:120:03:15

Are you going to play hide-and-seek first?

0:03:150:03:18

Maybe, but what about jumping in puddles or building sandcastles?

0:03:180:03:23

0:03:230:03:24

Bip-bippity-bip. I can help. I've got an idea.

0:03:240:03:28

-What's he making?

-I think we're about to find out.

0:03:330:03:37

Ooh, what's that?

0:03:370:03:40

This is my choosy wheel with each of our games on it. Bippity bippity.

0:03:400:03:45

-Jumping in muddy puddles.

-Building sandcastles!

0:03:450:03:50

And trees and bushes must be hide-and-seek.

0:03:500:03:53

That's great, Bippity.

0:03:530:03:55

And when we spin the wheel, the arrow chooses which game to play.

0:03:550:04:00

-Oh, wow!

-Would you like to spin the choosy wheel, Driver Dan?

0:04:000:04:04

Ha-ha! Thank you.

0:04:040:04:06

And the choosy wheel chooses...

0:04:080:04:11

Hide-and-seek! Hooray!

0:04:110:04:14

-Let's play.

-Bippity-bip. You hide and I'll try and find you.

0:04:140:04:18

One...two...three...four...

0:04:180:04:21

-Ssh! Let's hide, too.

-Yeah, Driver Dan, hide.

-Quickly!

0:04:210:04:26

Come on, Twinkle.

0:04:260:04:28

Eight...nine...ten! Coming! Ready or not!

0:04:280:04:33

Muddy footprints!

0:04:350:04:38

Oh! Found you! Ha-ha!

0:04:390:04:41

Aw, that was quick!

0:04:410:04:43

Muddy puddles are fun to jump in but they also leave muddy footprints.

0:04:430:04:48

I followed them and found you. Let's find the others.

0:04:480:04:54

-Oh, look!

-Sand! Bip-bippity-bip!

0:04:550:05:00

-Found you!

-Found you!

0:05:020:05:05

-You were easy to find! We followed your sandy footprints.

-Whoops!

0:05:050:05:11

Ssh! We need to find Driver Dan and Twinkle. Come on.

0:05:110:05:15

-I wonder where they're hiding.

-I can't see them anywhere.

0:05:150:05:20

-Nor me.

-TRAIN WHISTLE

0:05:200:05:22

-Oh, what was that?

-It sounded like the Story Train.

0:05:220:05:27

Ooh! Ha!

0:05:270:05:29

A-ha! Found you!

0:05:290:05:31

So you did! I enjoyed that, even if Twinkle did help you a little bit!

0:05:310:05:37

TWINKLE TWEETS

0:05:370:05:38

-Hee-hee!

-That game was great fun!

0:05:380:05:41

Yes. Can we spin again to find out what to play next?

0:05:410:05:46

I don't think we need to spin the choosy wheel to find that out.

0:05:460:05:49

It's time to go to Story Corner on the Story Train!

0:05:490:05:53

-Yeah!

-Bip-bippity-bip!

0:05:530:05:55

All hooked up. Are we ready to go, Twinkle?

0:05:570:06:00

TWINKLE TWEETS

0:06:000:06:03

Are you ready too? Then let's go!

0:06:030:06:06

CHILDREN: All aboard the Story Train! We're going to have a story!

0:06:060:06:10

I think it will be about choosing games.

0:06:100:06:13

-What about hide and seek?

-Yeah!

0:06:130:06:16

TWINKLE TWEETS

0:06:190:06:23

Is everyone ready for a story?

0:06:270:06:28

Is it going to be a story about mud?

0:06:280:06:31

Or sandcastles?

0:06:310:06:33

A-ha! I know just the book.

0:06:330:06:36

-Is everybody settled down and ready to listen?

-Ready!

0:06:360:06:40

And all of you, sitting down comfy and ready to listen?

0:06:400:06:44

-CHILDREN: Yes, Dan.

-This story is called Mowan And The Runaway Moon.

0:06:440:06:48

It was written by Timothy Knapman and the pictures are by Jago Silva.

0:06:480:06:53

One evening, Mowan looked out and saw the moon shining in the sky.

0:06:530:06:58

"The moon must be bored

0:06:580:06:59

"and on the lookout for something to do," said Mowan.

0:06:590:07:03

"I wonder if it would like to play with me."

0:07:030:07:05

Oh, yes, I'm sure the moon would LOVE to play. Bip-bip!

0:07:050:07:09

You're right, Bippity.

0:07:090:07:10

So Mowan reached up as high as he could

0:07:100:07:13

and pulled the moon down, out of the sky.

0:07:130:07:17

"Hello, Moon." The moon was smaller than Mowan was expecting.

0:07:170:07:21

It was bouncy like a ball. Boing! Boing! Boing! Boing!

0:07:210:07:25

So Mowan took it out to play. The moon rolled down the dusty slopes.

0:07:250:07:28

Whee! Splashed across sparkling streams. Splish! Splosh!

0:07:280:07:33

And even pretended to be a football. "Goal!"

0:07:330:07:37

I like the boinging and splashing!

0:07:370:07:40

The moon was having so much fun that it just couldn't stop.

0:07:400:07:44

"Come back!" cried Mowan. The moon just kept on bouncing.

0:07:440:07:48

It spooked snakes and scattered birds.

0:07:480:07:51

It bothered bats and woke up wombats

0:07:510:07:54

and bounced on and on until it got caught up in some thick scrub.

0:07:540:07:59

"There you are, you naughty moon!" said Mowan. "Don't worry."

0:07:590:08:03

And he untangled the moon from the scrub.

0:08:030:08:06

By now, night had fallen and they were lost in the dark.

0:08:060:08:10

Mowan looked around. He felt small and scared.

0:08:100:08:13

"What are we going to do?" he cried.

0:08:130:08:15

Then the moon had a bright idea.

0:08:150:08:18

It beamed, so that Mowan could see the way back home.

0:08:180:08:22

Mowan wished the moon didn't have to go.

0:08:230:08:26

He wished he could keep the moon and play with it every night

0:08:260:08:29

but then he thought about all the people who'd get lost in the dark.

0:08:290:08:33

So he reached up as high as he could and put the moon where it belonged.

0:08:330:08:38

And from then on, whenever the moon was bored

0:08:380:08:41

and on the lookout for something to do, it knew exactly where to go.

0:08:410:08:46

And it never bounced off again. Well, almost never.

0:08:460:08:50

-The end. Did you enjoy that story?

-Oh, yes.

0:08:500:08:54

Mowan and the moon chose some great games to play.

0:08:540:08:58

And they didn't even have a choosy wheel to help them.

0:08:580:09:02

Now it's your turn. Which bit did you like best?

0:09:020:09:06

Come on, it's time to show me the story.

0:09:060:09:09

Look! There's the moon. It's very pretty.

0:09:090:09:12

I'm reaching for the moon like Mowan.

0:09:120:09:16

I'm bouncing like the moon!

0:09:160:09:20

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!

0:09:200:09:22

We're playing with the moon again. We're splashing in the streams.

0:09:220:09:27

-Let's kick it!

-Wow! Look at that!

-I can kick really far.

0:09:270:09:32

Quick, chase it! Follow the moon!

0:09:320:09:35

Come back!

0:09:350:09:37

I'm balancing like Mowan.

0:09:370:09:40

Wobble, wobble! Whoa!

0:09:400:09:43

-Goodnight, moon, see you soon!

-Night-night!

0:09:430:09:46

That looked like great fun.

0:09:460:09:48

Thanks for showing me the story.

0:09:480:09:51

-Ah, Mowan and the moon enjoyed playing together.

-Just like us!

0:09:510:09:57

Whichever game we choose to play!

0:09:570:10:00

And I think it was a good choice of story. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

0:10:000:10:04

Yeah! I wonder what the choosy wheel

0:10:040:10:07

will choose for us to play next time?

0:10:070:10:10

I think it will choose jumping in muddy puddles!

0:10:100:10:13

Bip-bippity-bip! Or building sandcastles!

0:10:130:10:17

Or hide and seek again!

0:10:170:10:20

THEY LAUGH

0:10:200:10:21

Glad you enjoyed the story, everyone, but now it's time to go.

0:10:210:10:25

-All aboard!

-All aboard the Story Train!

0:10:250:10:28

Bye, everyone.

0:10:300:10:31

It's time to go but let's come back soon because we all love stories!

0:10:310:10:37
