What did the children see a-swimming in the blue, blue sea?

-The children played on the beach.

-Just like us.

We were pretending to play on the beach, too.

The children saw crabs a-nipping and shrimps a-floating

and shells, shells twinkling and shining.

But where, oh, where was the blue, blue whale with the blue, blue tail?

I think I can see a splash over there, Driver Dan.

Well spotted, Sweetie.

The children swam and dived

and the children saw jellyfish, jellyfish wibbling and a-wobbling

and mussels swaying.

But where, oh, where was the blue, blue whale

-with the blue, blue tail?

-Oh, there! There!

Well spotted, Bippity.

The children sailed in a boat

and the children saw flying fish flittering and a-fluttering

and narwhal and dolphin playing and a-jumping

but where, oh, where was the blue, blue whale with the blue, blue tail?

Ha-ha! He's hiding.

So he is.

The children travelled in a submarine and the children saw

octopus and squid, spotted rays waving and a-flying,

shoals of stripy fish, all shimmering and a-shining,

twisting and a-turning,

and three great sharks, a-swimming right past.

SHE GASPS

But where, oh, where was the blue, blue whale with the blue, blue tail?

Hurray! Here he is. He was here all the time.

What did the children see a-swimming in the blue, blue sea?

The children saw shells and crabs and little shrimps,

jellyfish, mussels and flying fish,

narwhal and dolphin, octopus and squid,

silvery, stripy shoals of fish,

spotted rays and three big sharks. And...

ALL: The blue, blue whale with the blue, blue tail.

All a-swimming together in the beautiful blue, blue sea.

ALL: Ha-ha! Yeah!

Yes. The children had a really fun day at the beach.

They saw all sorts of things.
