There's something stuck in Green Vroom's digger.

So that's where it went,

it landed in Green Vroom's diggeroo!

That was even more exciting than hunting for pirate's treasure.

Story Time!

This story is called Raffie's Pyjamas,

it was written by Smriti Prasadam-Halls

and the pictures are by Melanie Allag.

Raffie loved his pyjamas.

They were his favourite thing to wear.

He liked keeping them on while he brushed his teeth,

and when he washed his face, and when he ate his breakfast.

Raffie just wished he could wear his pyjamas all day every day.

THEY LAUGH

On Monday, Raffie was going to market.

"Can I wear my pyjamas?" he asked.

"No, no," said his father.

"It will be dusty, you need sensible outdoor clothes."

On Tuesday, Raffie was going swimming.

"Please can I wear my pyjamas?" he asked.

"Of course not," said Manny, his sister, "they will get wet."

"You need your swimming trunks."

You can't wear pyjamas for swimming!

They would be all wet when you went to bed.

On Wednesday, Raffie was visiting his grandma.

"Please can I wear my pyjamas to Arma's house?" he begged.

"No, you need to put on the smart outfit

"that Arma gave you," said his mother.

On Thursday, Raffie was playing football.

"My pyjamas will be perfect," he said.

"Don't be silly," said his brother, Ram.

"You'll never score any goals in those, you need your shorts."

Pyjamas? For football?

On Friday, Raffie was going to his aunt's wedding.

"Please, please, please can I wear my pyjamas?" he asked,

"They're my best."

"Certainly not!" laughed his aunt.

"Look at my guests. Whatever will they think?"

On Saturday, Raffie's friends were coming over to his house to play.

"Hurry up, Raffie, you need to get dressed," called his mother.

"Your friends will be here any minute."

"No need," said Raffie happily. "We're having a pyjama party!"
