Last time on Scorpion Island. | 0:00:14 | 0:00:16
Team captains Natty for sting and James for claw went head to head | 0:00:16 | 0:00:20
in the first ever Sting verses Claw island challenge. | 0:00:20 | 0:00:24
CLAWS CHEER | 0:00:24 | 0:00:25
James came out on top and won an advantage for his new team-mates. | 0:00:25 | 0:00:29
Captains then had to choose their team-mates | 0:00:29 | 0:00:32
to play in the next round, | 0:00:32 | 0:00:34
but James has creeping doubts over his big decision. | 0:00:34 | 0:00:38
So, sting and claw go head to head | 0:00:38 | 0:00:40
in the second fearsome round of Flight Of Fear. | 0:00:40 | 0:00:43
-Go higher! -I can't. | 0:00:43 | 0:00:46
Claw are desperate to win and take the Butterfly Island treasure. | 0:00:46 | 0:00:51
But Sting will be no pushover. | 0:00:51 | 0:00:53
-THEY CHEER -It's all coming up. | 0:00:53 | 0:00:56
Hello and welcome to Escape From Scorpion Island. I'm Johnny. | 0:01:25 | 0:01:28
And I'm Myleene. | 0:01:28 | 0:01:29
It might look like paradise, but the island is tricky | 0:01:29 | 0:01:32
and there are two teams of adventurers battling to be the best | 0:01:32 | 0:01:35
and escape. | 0:01:35 | 0:01:36
You join us on day six | 0:01:36 | 0:01:37
and both Sting and Claw want to win today's island treasure. | 0:01:37 | 0:01:40
So, jubilant Claw are back at camp, having won the advantage, | 0:01:46 | 0:01:51
and captain James should be in high spirits. | 0:01:51 | 0:01:54
THEY CHEER | 0:01:54 | 0:01:55
However, he is having nagging doubts about his choices | 0:01:58 | 0:02:02
for the impending second round of the island challenge. | 0:02:02 | 0:02:06
When we were choosing people it was a bit pressurized | 0:02:06 | 0:02:09
because I was trying to pick good people, | 0:02:09 | 0:02:12
but people who wanted to do it as well. Trying to mix it up together. | 0:02:12 | 0:02:16
I want Lizzie cos she's tall | 0:02:16 | 0:02:18
and that's an advantage when your doing those things. | 0:02:18 | 0:02:21
'But then there was Zach, who I thought would be very good at it' | 0:02:22 | 0:02:25
and who wanted to do it as well, | 0:02:25 | 0:02:28
'but then Dilhan wanted to do it as well. | 0:02:28 | 0:02:31
'So, I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick Zach or Dilhan.' | 0:02:31 | 0:02:34
Zach put the pressure on James | 0:02:34 | 0:02:38
'so, then James ended up choosing Zach' | 0:02:38 | 0:02:42
even though he wasn't really into choosing him. | 0:02:42 | 0:02:46
'He would have preferred Dilhan, I believe.' | 0:02:46 | 0:02:48
I think I am going to go with... | 0:02:48 | 0:02:51
Zach. | 0:02:51 | 0:02:53 | |
I didn't force James at all to pick me. | 0:02:53 | 0:02:55
I told him, "I am up for it and I think I would be good for it." | 0:02:55 | 0:03:00
I don't mind that today I wasn't chosen | 0:03:00 | 0:03:03
as the person to be selected to do the challenge | 0:03:03 | 0:03:07
and maybe next time the team captain will go with their instinct | 0:03:07 | 0:03:12
and pick whoever they think will do their best. | 0:03:12 | 0:03:14
I think I'm going to go... | 0:03:14 | 0:03:16
'But now thinking back to it I might have gone for Dilhan.' | 0:03:16 | 0:03:20
I think I might have accidentally made the wrong choices. | 0:03:20 | 0:03:24
Only time will tell who will get the island treasure, | 0:03:24 | 0:03:27
as Sting and Claw take on the second round of the island challenge. | 0:03:27 | 0:03:30
In round two, the island is, for the first time, | 0:03:34 | 0:03:37
setting Sting and Claw against each other as teams | 0:03:37 | 0:03:40
to try to win the latest all-important island treasure. | 0:03:40 | 0:03:44
Because the adventurers took the treasures they'd won | 0:03:44 | 0:03:47
in the boy's verses girl's challenges into the new teams. | 0:03:47 | 0:03:50
As it stands, Sting has three treasures while Claw have just two. | 0:03:50 | 0:03:55
It's amazingly close | 0:03:55 | 0:03:56
and so both teams will be doing everything they can to win here | 0:03:56 | 0:04:00
and add the Silver Butterfly to their trove, | 0:04:00 | 0:04:02
which means there's immense pressure on Khadie and Peter for Sting, | 0:04:02 | 0:04:06
as they take on Lizzie and Zach for Claw in round two of Flight Of Fear. | 0:04:06 | 0:04:12
Amongst the tallest trees on the island, | 0:04:13 | 0:04:16
one team member will have to climb an angled cable ladder | 0:04:16 | 0:04:19
collecting giant cogs one at a time, | 0:04:19 | 0:04:21
before passing to their team-mate who's climbing a matching ladder | 0:04:21 | 0:04:26
on the other side of the forest clearing. | 0:04:26 | 0:04:29
To make these passes the adventurers have to swing towards each other, | 0:04:29 | 0:04:32
so this is going to be an immense test of coordination | 0:04:32 | 0:04:36
and communication. | 0:04:36 | 0:04:37
As well as a huge physical challenge. | 0:04:37 | 0:04:40
Once the cog's been passed the second team member has to deliver it | 0:04:40 | 0:04:44
into the collection tub at the base of the angled ladder. | 0:04:44 | 0:04:47
If a cog hits the ground it's out of play | 0:04:47 | 0:04:49
and if an adventurer completely loses momentum | 0:04:49 | 0:04:53
and can't reach either ladder they'll be lowered right down. | 0:04:53 | 0:04:56
A real waste of time. | 0:04:56 | 0:04:58
Both teams have eight minutes to deliver as many cogs as possible | 0:04:58 | 0:05:02
and whoever has the most cogs when the time runs out wins. | 0:05:02 | 0:05:06
Sting starts with nine cogs on their ladder, | 0:05:06 | 0:05:08
but because the cogs that James won round one, Claw have ten. | 0:05:08 | 0:05:11
Meaning they have the potential to score more. | 0:05:11 | 0:05:14
Will this be decisive, or can Sting power their way to glory here? | 0:05:14 | 0:05:19
With the latest island treasure, the Silver Butterfly, up for grabs | 0:05:19 | 0:05:23
you just know that both teams are going to give it 100%. | 0:05:23 | 0:05:27
Sting and claw welcome to round two, A Flight Of Fear. | 0:05:31 | 0:05:35
The captains played in round one and it was full of drama, weren't it? | 0:05:35 | 0:05:39
Are you ready for round two? | 0:05:39 | 0:05:41
ALL: Yeah. | 0:05:41 | 0:05:42
-Are you a bit scared? -BOTH: No. | 0:05:42 | 0:05:44
-What's makes you so confident? -I'm just not scared of heights. | 0:05:44 | 0:05:48
-No-one's scared of heights? -No. | 0:05:48 | 0:05:49
Team Claw, you're going first and you have the advantage in this round. | 0:05:49 | 0:05:53
Team Sting had it last round and they didn't capitalise on that. | 0:05:53 | 0:05:57
You think you'll capitalise on having an extra cog? | 0:05:57 | 0:06:00
We'll get all of them in, hopefully. So... | 0:06:00 | 0:06:02
-You don't reckon you need it? -No. Let's hope we don't need it, | 0:06:02 | 0:06:06
but I'm sure Lizzie will keep it in the aim and yeah. | 0:06:06 | 0:06:10
Well, let battle commence for round two. | 0:06:10 | 0:06:13
First up Team Claw and they're in position for the game. | 0:06:16 | 0:06:21
Zach's ready to climb up and collect the cogs and pass over to Lizzie, | 0:06:21 | 0:06:25
-who'll and drop them into the tub. -Zach and Lizzie of Team Claw. | 0:06:25 | 0:06:29
-Are you ready? -Ready. | 0:06:29 | 0:06:32
Three, two, one, go! | 0:06:32 | 0:06:35
And they're off! | 0:06:35 | 0:06:37
The boys and girls haven't worked together in a challenge. | 0:06:38 | 0:06:41
It's the first time we can see if they work together well. | 0:06:41 | 0:06:44
We're going to see it in a challenge which is the ultimate test | 0:06:44 | 0:06:48
of team work and communication. | 0:06:48 | 0:06:49
-Keep going, Lizzie. -Go to the top one first. | 0:06:49 | 0:06:52
Hmm, interesting technique, they're going for the top cog first. | 0:06:52 | 0:06:57
And this could be a clever tactic. | 0:06:57 | 0:06:59
Heading up to where the distance between the ladders is shortest. | 0:06:59 | 0:07:03
Guys you have to talk to each other. Communicate! | 0:07:03 | 0:07:07
Go on, Lizzie! | 0:07:07 | 0:07:08
Come on, Zach? | 0:07:08 | 0:07:10
Zach's nearly at the top of the ladder. | 0:07:10 | 0:07:12
More than ten metres off the ground. | 0:07:12 | 0:07:14
Amazing! | 0:07:14 | 0:07:15
-Ready? -Here we go, it's the top cog. The first cog. | 0:07:17 | 0:07:20
-And he's got it. -Ready? | 0:07:20 | 0:07:22
-One, two, three! -So, they're going for their first swing. | 0:07:22 | 0:07:26
Oh, they missed. They have to try again. | 0:07:27 | 0:07:29
They need to be a whole lot closer than that. | 0:07:29 | 0:07:33
Oh! | 0:07:33 | 0:07:34 | |
Lizzie you need to go up. | 0:07:34 | 0:07:36
-Zach, go down! -Zach, go down, or Lizzie go up. | 0:07:36 | 0:07:39
Three, two, one, go! | 0:07:39 | 0:07:41
Just throw it instead. Just throw it, I'll catch it! | 0:07:43 | 0:07:46
-Sure? -Yeah. | 0:07:46 | 0:07:48
Can this possibly work? He's going for it! | 0:07:49 | 0:07:52
Oh, no. | 0:07:52 | 0:07:53
That's one cog down, | 0:07:53 | 0:07:55
but remember, Team Claw do have a spare cog. | 0:07:55 | 0:07:57
So they've still got the full nine cogs that they can try and get. | 0:07:57 | 0:08:00
Don't do that again that was a spare! | 0:08:00 | 0:08:03
But will Zach listen to Eleanor here? | 0:08:03 | 0:08:06
ALL: Yeah! | 0:08:09 | 0:08:11
That's great they've got the first cog. | 0:08:11 | 0:08:13
Great work there by Zach and Lizzie. Great team work. | 0:08:13 | 0:08:16
At last! They managed to transfer a cog and they do so in style, | 0:08:16 | 0:08:21
with a terrific mid-swing throw from Zach. | 0:08:21 | 0:08:24
Followed with a brilliant catch from Lizzie, | 0:08:24 | 0:08:27
just as she turns back from the ladder. | 0:08:27 | 0:08:29
It's great stuff, but now she needs to get it into the tub ASAP. | 0:08:32 | 0:08:37
Could this be the first cog? | 0:08:37 | 0:08:39
And it's a success. One cog is in the basket. | 0:08:40 | 0:08:43
But it's taken them more than three minutes. | 0:08:43 | 0:08:46
They really need to speed up and that's going to be hard work | 0:08:46 | 0:08:50
if they stick to going for the highest cogs. | 0:08:50 | 0:08:52
Lizzie has got to climb so far back up the ladder. | 0:08:52 | 0:08:55
Bit higher! | 0:08:55 | 0:08:57
Don't throw it, OK? | 0:08:59 | 0:09:01
-Just throw it. -No, don't throw it! | 0:09:01 | 0:09:03
Well, they are going for another swing. | 0:09:03 | 0:09:07
Oh, no throw and Zach just didn't get enough momentum. | 0:09:07 | 0:09:11
It's really tough because it's about coordination, | 0:09:11 | 0:09:14
as they've both got to leave at the same time. | 0:09:14 | 0:09:17
Well, they are going again. | 0:09:17 | 0:09:19
Oh, no! Zach didn't let go. | 0:09:19 | 0:09:21
Communicate with each other! Go up and then swing out. | 0:09:21 | 0:09:24
You have to throw it. | 0:09:24 | 0:09:26
Oh, no that's another cog that's been wasted by Team Claw. | 0:09:29 | 0:09:33
This is bad news for Claw. | 0:09:33 | 0:09:35
Zach threw the cog well, but it slipped between Lizzie's fingers | 0:09:35 | 0:09:39
and plummeted down to the ground. | 0:09:39 | 0:09:41
The rest of their team had been frantically shouting | 0:09:41 | 0:09:44
not to go for the throw. | 0:09:44 | 0:09:45
Did Lizzie and Zach ignore them, | 0:09:45 | 0:09:48
or was their advice lost in a wall of noise? | 0:09:48 | 0:09:51
Either way, it means they have less than half their time left | 0:09:54 | 0:09:58
and they've still only got one cog in the tub. | 0:09:58 | 0:10:01
Zach you need to push harder off the ladder. | 0:10:01 | 0:10:06
Zach are you listening? | 0:10:08 | 0:10:10
He's not going to listen. | 0:10:10 | 0:10:12
He's not listening to what we're saying. | 0:10:12 | 0:10:15
This is tough and I think Team Claw are starting to panic a little bit. | 0:10:15 | 0:10:19
You have to throw it! Doesn't matter, just throw it! | 0:10:20 | 0:10:24
Zach! You need to push harder. | 0:10:24 | 0:10:27
OK, mate. | 0:10:27 | 0:10:30
Three, two, one... | 0:10:30 | 0:10:33
Well, they're going for another pass | 0:10:33 | 0:10:35
and yes, she's got it. | 0:10:35 | 0:10:37
Lizzie, a great catch there and a good throw by Zach. | 0:10:37 | 0:10:40
She's got to get down. | 0:10:40 | 0:10:42
It doesn't count until it's in the basket. | 0:10:42 | 0:10:44
And it's such a long climb down to it too. | 0:10:44 | 0:10:46
Claw are working SO hard here. | 0:10:46 | 0:10:49
Lizzie's nearly at the bottom, | 0:10:52 | 0:10:54
but she can't afford to take any risks here. | 0:10:54 | 0:10:57
Yes, it's in and that's Claw's second cog in the tub, | 0:10:58 | 0:11:02
but they've only got just over a minute and a half left. | 0:11:02 | 0:11:05
Zach and Lizzie are both hauling themselves up their ladders. | 0:11:05 | 0:11:09
This must be utterly exhausting. | 0:11:09 | 0:11:14
-Lizzie keep going up. -I can't my fingers hurt! | 0:11:14 | 0:11:17
Oh, no! | 0:11:17 | 0:11:18
Lizzie's fingers are hurting, she's really struggling. | 0:11:18 | 0:11:21
She has to do so much climbing to keep going so far up. | 0:11:21 | 0:11:25
Lizzie, you have to go higher, | 0:11:25 | 0:11:27
-otherwise you're not going to be close enough. -I can't! | 0:11:27 | 0:11:31
A really tough challenge, this. Round two is proving to be difficult. | 0:11:31 | 0:11:35
But if claw want to win the latest island treasure | 0:11:35 | 0:11:39
they have absolutely got to drive themselves on here. | 0:11:39 | 0:11:43
Three...two...one. | 0:11:43 | 0:11:46
Another swing! | 0:11:46 | 0:11:48
ALL: No! | 0:11:49 | 0:11:50
Oh, no! They have dropped another cog. | 0:11:50 | 0:11:52
The rest of Team Claw will not be happy about that. | 0:11:52 | 0:11:56
Lizzie couldn't climb any higher, | 0:11:56 | 0:11:59
so Zach had to pass the cog down to her. | 0:11:59 | 0:12:01
If he'd have thrown a moment earlier it might have worked, | 0:12:01 | 0:12:04
but as it was, she was already swinging back to the ladder, | 0:12:04 | 0:12:08
leaving the cog frustratingly uncatchable. | 0:12:08 | 0:12:12
But with less than 30 seconds left, | 0:12:15 | 0:12:17
have they got time to get another cog across | 0:12:17 | 0:12:20
and all the way down in to the tub... | 0:12:20 | 0:12:23
Two, three! | 0:12:23 | 0:12:24
..Could this be their last swing? | 0:12:24 | 0:12:27
Ooh, what a catch! Amazing work from Lizzie, | 0:12:27 | 0:12:30
but there's just seconds left on the clock | 0:12:30 | 0:12:33
Oh! She looks like she's going for the drop, yes! | 0:12:35 | 0:12:38
Oh, no! | 0:12:38 | 0:12:40
Three, two, and one, that's it! That's game over for Team Claw. | 0:12:43 | 0:12:48
A heartbreaking moment for Claw and they are gutted. | 0:12:48 | 0:12:53
Really disappointed. | 0:12:53 | 0:12:55
I think Lizzie did really try her best, | 0:12:55 | 0:12:57
her catching and throwing skills are really good, | 0:12:57 | 0:13:00
but I don't know if I could do any better. | 0:13:00 | 0:13:03
Our communication skills between me and Lizzie were good, | 0:13:03 | 0:13:07
but our communication between us two, to those three, was appalling. | 0:13:07 | 0:13:12
Well, you're being a bit tough on yourself there, Zach. | 0:13:12 | 0:13:15
This was a valiant effort from you and Lizzie. | 0:13:15 | 0:13:19
They swung bravely and made some impressive swaps, | 0:13:19 | 0:13:22
though if they had been more in sync they could have made even more. | 0:13:22 | 0:13:26
Nonetheless, they managed to end up with two cogs in the tub. | 0:13:26 | 0:13:31
So, that's the target Sting have got to try and beat and they're up next. | 0:13:31 | 0:13:35
-Team Sting, are you ready? -Ready. | 0:13:39 | 0:13:42
In three, two, one, go! | 0:13:42 | 0:13:46
And they're off and they're RACING up there! | 0:13:46 | 0:13:50
So, let's see if team Sting can work as team better than Claw. | 0:13:50 | 0:13:54
They're going for a different technique. | 0:13:54 | 0:13:56
Remember, Team Claw went right to the top... | 0:13:56 | 0:13:59
Ready? | 0:13:59 | 0:14:01
..these guys are lower, that could make the difference. | 0:14:01 | 0:14:04
A big swing, ready? | 0:14:04 | 0:14:05
Careful, don't let go, don't let go of the cog! | 0:14:05 | 0:14:09
Three, two, one, swing! | 0:14:09 | 0:14:12
They're going for the swing. Can they make the pass? | 0:14:12 | 0:14:15
Oh, no! | 0:14:15 | 0:14:16
Peter and Khadie seem to be communicating well | 0:14:20 | 0:14:22
and swing together at just the right time, but Khadie fumbles the catch. | 0:14:22 | 0:14:27
So, the cog plummets down to the ground. Bad news. | 0:14:27 | 0:14:31
And remember, these cogs have only got nine cogs to play with. | 0:14:33 | 0:14:37
They haven't got that extra cog. | 0:14:37 | 0:14:39
-Come on! -Careful! | 0:14:39 | 0:14:41
Ready? | 0:14:41 | 0:14:43
There are so many things at work here, they've got to be quick, | 0:14:43 | 0:14:46
accurate, strong and they've got to have balance. | 0:14:46 | 0:14:50
Three, two, one... | 0:14:50 | 0:14:53
Here they go again. | 0:14:53 | 0:14:55
Keep it, keep it, keep it! | 0:14:55 | 0:14:58
Good work by Khadie. | 0:14:59 | 0:15:00
She told Peter to keep the cog. She wasn't sure she'd get it. | 0:15:00 | 0:15:03
Peter is swinging wildly. | 0:15:03 | 0:15:05
Peter, one, two... | 0:15:07 | 0:15:09
But Khadie is taking control. | 0:15:09 | 0:15:11
Oh, he's late for the swing! | 0:15:11 | 0:15:12
They are going for it. | 0:15:12 | 0:15:14
Yes! A great catch from Khadie this time. | 0:15:14 | 0:15:18
Oh, but Peter's out of control. | 0:15:18 | 0:15:20
Slowly. Don't throw it and don't touch the floor. | 0:15:22 | 0:15:25
Well, she is carefully lowering it down into the tub... | 0:15:25 | 0:15:29
And yes! | 0:15:29 | 0:15:30
THEY CHEER | 0:15:30 | 0:15:32
Next one, come on! | 0:15:32 | 0:15:33
They've got to get back up. | 0:15:33 | 0:15:35
The higher they go, the more difficult it becomes. | 0:15:35 | 0:15:37
Team claw are already looking worried. | 0:15:37 | 0:15:40
Impressively, the heights don't seem to be bothering Khadie or Peter. | 0:15:40 | 0:15:46
Three, two, one, swing! | 0:15:46 | 0:15:49
Another swing! | 0:15:50 | 0:15:52
Oh! | 0:15:52 | 0:15:54 | |
They're being very careful and cautious. | 0:15:54 | 0:15:56
They don't want to waste any cogs. | 0:15:56 | 0:15:58
They haven't got many to play with. | 0:15:58 | 0:16:00
Ready? Three... | 0:16:00 | 0:16:01
They're going again, straightaway. | 0:16:01 | 0:16:04
-Oh, no! -So close Peter. | 0:16:04 | 0:16:07
This is one of those games that is so much harder than it looks. | 0:16:07 | 0:16:11
-Swing! -Here they go again | 0:16:11 | 0:16:13
-Catch it! -THEY CHEER | 0:16:13 | 0:16:15
And this time they made it look easy! | 0:16:15 | 0:16:17
Khadie's still got to get back onto the ladder | 0:16:17 | 0:16:20
and deliver the cog into the collection tub, | 0:16:20 | 0:16:22
while Peter climbs up to get the next cog. Great team work! | 0:16:22 | 0:16:26
And Khadie is getting into position now, | 0:16:28 | 0:16:30
the rest of Sting look concerned. Here she goes for the drop. | 0:16:30 | 0:16:34
Yes, it's in! | 0:16:34 | 0:16:36
THEY CHEER | 0:16:36 | 0:16:37
So, with just under half their time left | 0:16:37 | 0:16:40
Sting have matched Claw's final score. | 0:16:40 | 0:16:43
Now, can they do even better? Peter's poised with another cog, | 0:16:43 | 0:16:46
set to swing when Khadie's climbed back up. | 0:16:46 | 0:16:49
-Ready, Khadie? -Three, two, one, swing! | 0:16:49 | 0:16:52
They are going in again, looking good. | 0:16:52 | 0:16:55
Ooh! | 0:16:55 | 0:16:56 | |
Keep your focus, come on, guys! | 0:16:57 | 0:16:59
Oh, no, Peter didn't get a hold of the ladder. | 0:17:00 | 0:17:03
He's wasting valuable time now. | 0:17:03 | 0:17:06
Yes, he is back and he is in position to try again. | 0:17:06 | 0:17:10
She has counted them in for another swing and what a catch! | 0:17:10 | 0:17:15
Come on, Khadie! | 0:17:15 | 0:17:18
Oh, no! She has lost all momentum. Nightmare! | 0:17:18 | 0:17:22
Khadie trying to reach but she is just missing out. | 0:17:22 | 0:17:25
I can't reach the tree! | 0:17:25 | 0:17:27
That means she is going to have to be lowered all the way down. | 0:17:27 | 0:17:30
How frustrating and, of course, that cog goes out of play. | 0:17:30 | 0:17:35
They need one more and they've beaten Team Claw. | 0:17:35 | 0:17:38
But they have only got just over a minute and a half left | 0:17:40 | 0:17:43
and each and every climb back up is more exhausting for Khadie. | 0:17:43 | 0:17:48
Three, two, one. | 0:17:48 | 0:17:50
Oh, and they are swinging out again and the throw, | 0:17:51 | 0:17:54
-Yes! -Khadie has caught it, all she has to do is get down that ladder. | 0:17:54 | 0:17:58
But at this stage in the game that's much harder than it looks. | 0:17:58 | 0:18:01
-This is really draining work. -Khadie going down. | 0:18:01 | 0:18:04
They are working great together, | 0:18:04 | 0:18:06
Khadie and Peter never worked together before. | 0:18:06 | 0:18:09
Before they were rivals and now they are team-mates. | 0:18:09 | 0:18:12
And it seems to be getting results. | 0:18:12 | 0:18:15
Come on! | 0:18:16 | 0:18:17
She is carefully going for the drop. | 0:18:17 | 0:18:19
-Yes! -Come on, Khadie! | 0:18:20 | 0:18:23
So, that's three cogs in the tub | 0:18:23 | 0:18:25
and that means Sting are the winners here, but have they realised? | 0:18:25 | 0:18:29
They're not sure how many cogs Team Claw got, | 0:18:29 | 0:18:32
so they're want to make sure. | 0:18:32 | 0:18:33
They're keeping going, but there is so little time left. | 0:18:33 | 0:18:37
20 seconds left now. | 0:18:37 | 0:18:38
One, two, three! | 0:18:38 | 0:18:40
Here they go once again and they look shattered! | 0:18:40 | 0:18:42
Oh, but that is a great catch! | 0:18:42 | 0:18:44
They have got another cog. Can they get it in before the time is up? | 0:18:44 | 0:18:48
It's going to be really tough, Khadie looks so tired. | 0:18:48 | 0:18:52
THEY CHEER | 0:18:52 | 0:18:53
Three, two, one... | 0:18:53 | 0:18:55
She's dropped it and it's gone in! | 0:18:55 | 0:18:57
What a drop and what a finish from Khadie, | 0:18:57 | 0:19:01
but how was Flight Of Fear for Team Sting? | 0:19:01 | 0:19:03
The hardest part was when you had to release the cog. | 0:19:05 | 0:19:08
I am happy that on the last 20 seconds | 0:19:08 | 0:19:10
I listened to my team to just drop it. | 0:19:10 | 0:19:13
And it's a good thing you did, Khadie, | 0:19:15 | 0:19:17
because you sealed the deal on an impressive turn from you and Peter, | 0:19:17 | 0:19:21
which really showed up the contrasts between the teams. | 0:19:21 | 0:19:25
Where Team Claw went for the highest cogs, | 0:19:25 | 0:19:27
causing Lizzie to climb up and down, exhausting her, | 0:19:27 | 0:19:30
which ate into their time, | 0:19:30 | 0:19:32
Team Sting went for the lower, quicker to deal with, cogs. | 0:19:32 | 0:19:36
Where Claw became exasperated | 0:19:36 | 0:19:38
with Zach and Lizzie not communicating well enough... | 0:19:38 | 0:19:41
Talk to each other. | 0:19:41 | 0:19:42
..Team Sting must have been delighted to see Khadie and Peter | 0:19:42 | 0:19:45
working so well together. | 0:19:45 | 0:19:47
And where Claw dropped three cogs and had one bounce out of their tub, | 0:19:47 | 0:19:51
Sting only dropped one cog | 0:19:51 | 0:19:53
and lost another when Khadie had to be lowered down to the ground. | 0:19:53 | 0:19:57
It all added up to a comfortable 4-2 win for Team Sting | 0:19:57 | 0:20:01
in this first Sting verses Claw island challenge | 0:20:01 | 0:20:04
and it means they will collect the treasure, | 0:20:04 | 0:20:07
the Silver Butterfly. | 0:20:07 | 0:20:08
Well, thrills and spills galore! | 0:20:11 | 0:20:13
That looked like the toughest challenge yet. | 0:20:13 | 0:20:16
-Guys, was that pretty difficult? ALL: -Yeah. | 0:20:16 | 0:20:18
It looked easy, but it really, really wasn't. | 0:20:18 | 0:20:21
It was, er, and especially, my hands were OK | 0:20:21 | 0:20:25
cos I didn't have to do as much as Lizzie, | 0:20:25 | 0:20:27
but Lizzie's hands have got blisters on, | 0:20:27 | 0:20:30
the amount of up and down she had to do must have really killed. | 0:20:30 | 0:20:34
Of course, I didn't think about that. | 0:20:34 | 0:20:36
You didn't have to go down as many times, did you? | 0:20:36 | 0:20:39
Lizzie, you were up and down so quickly! | 0:20:39 | 0:20:41
What was difficult for you? | 0:20:41 | 0:20:42
Just the holding on to it cos the ladder's moving around. | 0:20:42 | 0:20:46
So, it's all about balance, but who won today's island challenge? | 0:20:46 | 0:20:49
The first challenge between Sting and Claw. | 0:20:49 | 0:20:51
We are going to find out at tonight's island fire. | 0:20:53 | 0:20:56
THEY GRUMBLE Sorry, guys! | 0:20:56 | 0:20:58
Captain James takes a moment | 0:20:59 | 0:21:01
to analyse what went wrong for Team Claw. | 0:21:01 | 0:21:04
Go down! | 0:21:04 | 0:21:05
Zach, go down or Lizzie, go up. | 0:21:05 | 0:21:07
No! | 0:21:07 | 0:21:08 | |
I think it all went wrong by communication | 0:21:10 | 0:21:12
because before they started counting down to go | 0:21:12 | 0:21:15
he said, "Lizzie, we're going right to the top," | 0:21:15 | 0:21:17
and I was like, "What you are doing?" | 0:21:17 | 0:21:20
Lizzie, should we go to the top one first? | 0:21:20 | 0:21:23
'I don't think he did it on purpose.' | 0:21:23 | 0:21:25
I think he might have misunderstood because I said, | 0:21:25 | 0:21:28
"Why don't you go about their-ish and work your way down?", | 0:21:28 | 0:21:31
and I thought he might think I was pointing to the top. | 0:21:31 | 0:21:34
Zach, go down! | 0:21:35 | 0:21:37
Zach, just go down or Lizzie, go up. | 0:21:37 | 0:21:39
I was screaming like anything and it was so loud | 0:21:39 | 0:21:43
and all of them speaking at once, it was confusing. | 0:21:43 | 0:21:47
'I had to shout down and then up | 0:21:47 | 0:21:49
'and then I had to also communicate with Lizzie.' | 0:21:49 | 0:21:52
Zach you need to push harder. | 0:21:52 | 0:21:55
'You're trying to listen, but you're also trying to get the cog as well. | 0:21:55 | 0:22:00
Lizzie you have to go higher, | 0:22:00 | 0:22:02
otherwise you are not going to be close enough. | 0:22:02 | 0:22:05
What we were trying to do was swing down and then Zach drop it | 0:22:05 | 0:22:10
and then I catch it below him, | 0:22:10 | 0:22:12
but then the rest of the team didn't seem to agree. | 0:22:12 | 0:22:15
'They didn't understand the concept of what was happening.' | 0:22:15 | 0:22:20
Go up! | 0:22:20 | 0:22:21 | |
THEY GROAN | 0:22:22 | 0:22:23
James isn't very happy and James is a bit upset of his choices | 0:22:23 | 0:22:28
and I think he is feeling a bit down | 0:22:28 | 0:22:29
cos he doesn't think he did well as a captain. | 0:22:29 | 0:22:32
'Which he did, he did do well.' | 0:22:32 | 0:22:34
I think Zach might feel like he lost the challenge today | 0:22:36 | 0:22:39
and he really thinks it was him himself that did it, | 0:22:39 | 0:22:42
but I don't, that's how the cookie crumbles. | 0:22:42 | 0:22:44
It doesn't always work the way you want it to work. | 0:22:44 | 0:22:47
James and Zach meet up at the rusty car to discuss the island challenge. | 0:22:52 | 0:22:57
James, you know the end, when, er, | 0:22:57 | 0:22:59
I, sort of, felt like you and Dilhan were, sort of, really mad at me. | 0:22:59 | 0:23:06
Were you, or were you just concentrating at the game? | 0:23:06 | 0:23:09
We were a bit mad at you because you seemed to be doing one thing, | 0:23:09 | 0:23:14
but then, it looks much easier than it actually is... | 0:23:14 | 0:23:16
You know how I was telling you, | 0:23:16 | 0:23:18
"I'll be perfect for that challenge?" | 0:23:18 | 0:23:21
Yes, it's much harder. | 0:23:21 | 0:23:22
Well, it looked perfect for me, but it just wasn't. I'm sorry. | 0:23:22 | 0:23:25
Yes, I think that's why we were a bit mad, | 0:23:25 | 0:23:28
but we weren't really mad at you. | 0:23:28 | 0:23:30
Just a bit, like, I would say a bit argumentative about it | 0:23:30 | 0:23:33
because we thought we could have done better, | 0:23:33 | 0:23:36
but it really looks, it looks really easy. | 0:23:36 | 0:23:39
-Shall we just move on from this and set it aside now? -Yeah, OK. | 0:23:40 | 0:23:44
-Deal? -Friends. | 0:23:44 | 0:23:46
The dust has settled and the adventurers are about to find out | 0:23:48 | 0:23:52
who has won today's challenge at the island fire. | 0:23:52 | 0:23:55
The only place where the island will communicate directly with the teams. | 0:23:57 | 0:24:03
Team Sting, how was your first day together as a team? | 0:24:06 | 0:24:10
-Brilliant. -Amazing. | 0:24:10 | 0:24:12
Jeremy, what was so good about it? | 0:24:12 | 0:24:14
Cos we all really bonded really quickly | 0:24:14 | 0:24:16
and it was faster than we expected. | 0:24:16 | 0:24:18
We have got to a point where we have trusted everyone now. | 0:24:18 | 0:24:23
So, it looks like Team Sting are bonding. How about Team Claw? | 0:24:23 | 0:24:26
-It was a tough island challenge today, wasn't it? -Yes. | 0:24:26 | 0:24:30
We bonded, but a loss, in one way, is a win | 0:24:30 | 0:24:33
because we win the knowledge of how to work better in a team. | 0:24:33 | 0:24:38
OK, that's good, positive thinking. | 0:24:38 | 0:24:40
Today, both teams took part in Flight Of Fear. | 0:24:40 | 0:24:45
As you know, only one team can be the winner | 0:24:45 | 0:24:47
and only the island knows who that winner is. | 0:24:47 | 0:24:51
The team that beat the island in Flight Of Fear is... | 0:24:52 | 0:24:55
..Sting! | 0:25:06 | 0:25:07
THEY CHEER | 0:25:07 | 0:25:08
Well done, Sting. | 0:25:10 | 0:25:11
-Congratulations, guys. Nice surprise? -Yeah. | 0:25:11 | 0:25:13
Not only have you won the challenge, you've also won the Butterfly. | 0:25:13 | 0:25:17
It represents your change and growth on the island. | 0:25:17 | 0:25:20
However, only one of you can own the Butterfly. | 0:25:20 | 0:25:23
That's right | 0:25:23 | 0:25:24
and that treasure will go to the adventurer | 0:25:24 | 0:25:27
you think was the most valuable team-mate. | 0:25:27 | 0:25:30
Every night, at the island fire, | 0:25:30 | 0:25:32
only one adventurer from the winning team can be awarded the treasure, | 0:25:32 | 0:25:36
but what is the true significance of these treasures? | 0:25:36 | 0:25:39
The island knows, but will not let on just yet. | 0:25:39 | 0:25:43
THEY WHISPER | 0:25:45 | 0:25:47
You don't mind do you, Peter? | 0:25:48 | 0:25:50
Yeah, OK. | 0:25:50 | 0:25:52
Thank you. | 0:25:52 | 0:25:54
So, guys, you have had a talk, who have you voted for? | 0:25:54 | 0:25:58
-Khadie. -Khadie. Why have you chosen Khadie? | 0:25:58 | 0:26:00
She was up and down that ladder so fast today, | 0:26:00 | 0:26:04
we are all so proud of her and we think she did SUCH a good job. | 0:26:04 | 0:26:07
Well, Khadie, congratulations, step forward. | 0:26:07 | 0:26:10
You have been voted the most valuable adventurer. | 0:26:10 | 0:26:14
APPLAUSE | 0:26:14 | 0:26:15
Well, so far, Sting are in the lead with four island treasures, | 0:26:24 | 0:26:27
Claw only have two. | 0:26:27 | 0:26:29
Who would you like to see win the next island treasure? | 0:26:29 | 0:26:32
You can catch all the action online now, | 0:26:32 | 0:26:35
-we will see you next time on Escape From Scorpion Island. -Bye. -Bye. | 0:26:35 | 0:26:39
Next time, captain for Claw, Eleanor faces the toughest battle she's had | 0:26:41 | 0:26:45
to bring a treasure home for her team. | 0:26:45 | 0:26:47
I would really like to wipe the smile off Sting's faces. | 0:26:47 | 0:26:51
But captain Jeremy is determined to cement Sting's lead. | 0:26:51 | 0:26:55
