OK, guys, gather around. It's team talk time.

Today, we're going to be looking at freestyle football moves.

These are moves that players make up on the spot

to help them keep the ball and give them an edge over other players.

Does anyone know what moves or tricks we could try?

-Some really great ideas.

There are loads of freestyle moves that we can try.

Some are well-known, and you can make up your own.

It's really important to make sure you try,

and if it doesn't work out, try something else.

-Let's go and have a practice.

-THEY CHEER

The first move is stepping one way and going the other.

The idea is to trick the other player.

Step one side of the ball, drop your shoulder,

and use the outside of the foot

to kick the ball in the opposite direction.

-George is concentrating here!

-Good.

-Even the Pups have got some freestyle moves.

-Yeah!

Step to one side of the ball, drop your shoulder,

use the outside of your foot to kick the ball.

-BOTH:

-Step to the side, shoulder down, and kick.

The next trick we're going to try is the chop.

Place your foot in front of the ball,

swing your other leg behind you

and kick it with the inside of your foot.

Charlie lines up a chop.

Nice!

Step in front, good, and then swing behind and chop.

Isaac's a determined Pup.

-Try.

-Brilliant!

-Yeah!

-OK, has anyone got a freestyle move of their own?

-Back-heel.

-Brilliant.

Plant your foot next to the ball, swing your other leg forward,

point your toes up and swing your leg back.

Good advice. You can always try some of your own moves at home.

Foot towards the ball, swing the other foot, and back-heel kick.

I've laid out some cones which you need to pretend are defenders.

As you dribble up to each cone, you need to try a different move.

Rozzie's going to show us how to play.

Dribble up to the first cone.

Kick the ball around one side of the cone and run round the other.

Then dribble up to the second cone, step one way, drop your shoulder,

take the ball the other way with the outside of your foot.

-Off you go.

-George races forward.

Well done, George. Fantastic dribbling.

Lean one way, take the ball the other.

Brilliant. Dodge that defender. Oh, nice dodging!

Step to the side. Take it with the outside of your foot.

They're super tricky to beat.

All they do is practise, practise, practise.

I've looked through thousands of my old matches

and I want you to see this.

I called that move the Fleasome Flick.

It had never been tried before by any animal.

So how did you know you could do it?

I didn't, lassie, but at that moment

I knew I had to do something special,

so I just thought it up on the spot.

Sometimes coming up with a move of your very own

can help you control the ball and surprise your opponent.

Maybe I could think up my own move for today's match.

But you never do doggy tricks, Rozzie.

Exactly, so Chimpaldo's champ chimps won't be expecting it.

-Can you still do the Fleasome Flick, Freddie?

-Of course I can, laddie.

It's like riding a bike - you never forget.

To play, you need to be a footballing freestyler.

When the whistle blows, one player dribbles forward.

In front of them are three defenders blocking the way.

Team-mates must perform different moves

to get the ball past each defender.

Once they've passed all three, they can score a goal.

When they've scored, the next team-mate starts.

The winners will be the team

who complete the game in the fastest time.
