Did you know that your heart is a muscle in your body
a bit like the muscles in your arms and your legs?
How would we normally strengthen the muscles in our arms and legs?
-By training them.
-By warming them up.
We need to do the same with our heart to keep it healthy.
Looking after your heart is really important,
because that can help with our stamina.
Stamina means we can play for longer, which is
really important because a match of football is 90 minutes long.
There are three main things to remember to help with our stamina.
We need to move about,
and keep going.
ALL: Move about, work hard, and keep going.
Well done, guys. Let's go and have a practice.
To build your stamina, I want you to run back and forth
to the cones. Each cone gets further away.
You're going to need to pace yourself so you don't get tired.
First team need to put a ball at each cone,
and the second team need to collect them. Off you go!

-Working their way down the pitch?
-Well done, keep it going.

This game shows how stamina helps you keep going as a team.
You need to run around this circle,
holding a hoop at your waist.
The Footy Pups are going to show us how.
The first person runs on their own.
After one lap they collect the second team mate,
run around again, and then collect the third.
Once everyone makes it back, the first team-mate stops,
while the others keep running.
The game is over after the third team-mate has completed
a lap on their own.
