It's a type of cheese called ricotta. Do you know what this is?

-Bacon.

We're going to make no-pastry pies today. They look great, don't they?

The first thing we do to make our no-pastry pie is crack an egg.

-Now where'd you think this comes from?

-Chicken!

A chicken, yeah.

And the chicken make a noise like this...

-Oh, no, sorry. It makes a noise like this, it goes...

It goes like this - cluck-cluck!

Of course, a chicken goes cluck-cluck!

Oh! Great chicken impression, everyone. Let's crack these eggs.

I'll show you how to do it.

The first thing you do is knock on the door.

You go knock, knock, knock. You make a crack like this.

Knock, knock, knock!

Then you use your thumbs to open it up, like this.

And out comes the egg.

Open it up. There you go. Brilliant job.

The next ingredient we're going to add is a soft Italian cheese

with a really sweet flavour and it's called ricotta.

-Who can say that? Who can go...

-ALL: Ricotta!

All right. Let's add our ricotta to our bowls.

Oh, look at that.

It's like a big cheesy mountain in our bowls and then we're

going to use our wooden spoons to beat the egg and cheese together.

Three, two, one, go!

What's happening to the mixture as we mix it together?

-It's turning a bit yellowy.

-It's going really lovely and creamy.

-Mine's gone all gooey.

-Oh, yeah, looks great, guys.

-One last mix - say, mix, mix, mix.

-Mix, mix, mix, mix, mix.

And once it's all mixed up, just pop your bowl to one side.

-Look at that!

-That looks great.

Now the next ingredient we'll add, everyone,

is some grated leek. Leeks are a vegetable.

Now we need to add two tablespoons of our leek to our mixture.

But hold on, we seem to have three different sizes of spoon here.

I wonder which one is a tablespoon.

I know which one is a tablespoon, Katy.

-Everyone look, it's my friend, Mr Spoon. Say hello, everyone.

-Hi!

Oh, hello, everyone.

Now, Mr Spoon, can you tell me which one of these is a tablespoon?

I can, Katy.

Now the little spoon is a teaspoon,

the middle spoon is a dessert spoon,

and the big spoon is a tablespoon so you need the big spoon.

Well, now we know which one's a tablespoon

we can carry on with our recipe. So, everyone, take your tablespoon

and take two big spoonfuls of your grated leek and put it in your bowl.

Fantastic! Well done, team, that's great.

Once you've added the leek to the bowl,

we're going to snip up some lovely bacon.

Now we'll snip up our bacon using our scissors,

but, remember, be careful with scissors.

-Everyone knows that we point them down towards our...

-Toes!

So take your bacon and get snipping.

Can you snip with us too? Oh, brilliant, OK.

Take your scissors like this and then go snip, snip, snippety, snip.

Excellent snipping. Once you've snipped your bacon up,

we can pop it into our bowl with our leek, our cheese and our egg.

-And give everything a really good...

-Mix!

-Off you go.

Oh, this is looking good. What's happened to the bacon?

-It's gone away.

-It's playing hide and seek.

-Yeah.

-Has everyone mixed everything together?

-Yeah.

-Excellent.

We're going to put this mixture into muffin trays.

First of all, you scoop up some mixture, so everyone say scoop!

-Scoop!

-Slide it into your muffin tray with the other spoon and say slide!

-Slide!

-Scoop and slide.

And, if you can, try to get the same amount in each muffin case.

Scoop and slide, there we go.

Pop these spoons into your bowl and that's it, you've done it.

You've made your no-pastry pies

and you've done it all by yourself, team,

and all we've got to do now is pop these in the oven to cook.

Oh, these look great, guys.

Now, remember, the oven is hot, so don't go near.

You need to ask a grown-up to help you here.

OK, now these shouldn't take very long to cook at all.

We need to make everywhere tidy and clean, scrub those pots

so they sparkle and clean.
