-ALL: Me!

Then you are going to love... sticky chocolate cake!

-ALL: Yay!

-Oh, that smells delicious!

-Who's excited about making it?

Before we start cooking, we've got to do something really important.

ALL: Wash our hands!

Wash our hands! Let's get going.

# Give your hands a wash with slippy-dippy soap

So let's get started!

The first thing we need for our sticky chocolate cake is some milk.

Moo!

-What animal's that?

-ALL: Cow!

That's right, it's a cow. We're not using cow's milk.

We're going to use milk that comes from a soya bean.

So we've got a little cup of soya milk just here.

Now, to this we're going to add some bicarbonate of soda.

Bicarbonate of soda is magic!

Yes, because it makes food rise up really big when it goes in the oven.

Why don't we all pretend to be the cake rising up in the oven?

So we start down really, really low and then we...

-Pop!

-Pop!

-So here's the bicarbonate of soda.

Give it a little shake, a little shuffle

and then add it into our soya milk, there we go.

-Oh, it's making bubbles.

-This is all messy!

Yeah, but we love mess, don't we, team?

-ALL: Yeah!

-Now, to the flour

we're going to add some cocoa powder.

We're going to only need one tablespoon of our cocoa powder

because it's ever so strong. We will need our old friend, Mr Spoon.

Ah, Mr Spoon, great to see you!

-"Hello, doing some measuring today?"

-ALL: Yeah!

"All righty, let's get to it."

We need one tablespoon, Mr Spoon, off you go!

Sprinkle it into the flour.

And mix it up.

-But what's happened to the cocoa powder?

-Gone!

-How did it disappear?

-It went into the flour.

You can mix with us as well. You can get your bowl and Mr Spoon

and give everything a good mix, mix, mix until it's all mixed up.

-Has everyone mixed in cocoa powder?

-ALL: Yes!

-Let's say "Cool cocoa beans!"

-ALL: "Cool cocoa beans!"

We're done with that bowl. We need our second bowl,

which has got some sugar with some non-dairy spread in it.

Now, this spread you can use instead of butter

on things like sandwiches or toast.

What ingredient do you think we'll need next to add to this bowl?

Well, let us see if you can guess what it could be.

So, we have got a lemon...

some honey...

and some fudge.

What would you choose for our sticky chocolate cake?

I'll give you some clues and you try and guess

what the special ingredient is.

The special ingredient is sweet.

Lemons are sour so we can take that one away. There we go.

OK, here's another clue for you. The special ingredient is made by bees.

Bzzz. Oh, fudge isn't made by bees, is it?!

So we can take that one away. Which leaves us with...

lovely honey. We need some of that for our sticky chocolate cake

and earlier, I buzzed off to find some.

I'm in London and I've come to find some honey in a very strange place -

on the roof of this building.

Honey is made by bees and I've got to wear these special clothes

because I'm going to find some bees. Bzzz!

This is where the bees live and these are called beehives

and this is Steve who will tell us how honey is made.

-Hello, Steve.

-Hello, Katy.

Bees head out to flowers and collect sweet stuff called nectar.

The bees bring the nectar back here into the honeycomb.

-Do the bees make the honeycomb?

-They make the honeycomb.

Wow, that's amazing. Why is this bit white and this bit not white?

This bit is ready to take away and this bit isn't ready yet.

So we can eat this part. Brilliant.

Come and look at this, Katy, this is the honeycomb here.

Just break this open, look.

Wow! Look at all that honey! That's amazing.

Oh, look, there's a jar just over here that we can use in our recipe.

This is perfect for our sticky chocolate cake. Thank you, Steve.

I loved seeing all those bees, it was so interesting!

Seeing them all fly about.

Now we've got our runny honey,

-shall we use it in our recipe?

-ALL: Yes!

OK, before we do, can you pretend to be a bee? Bzzz!

ALL: Bzzz!

Oh, I'm all buzzed out now!

-Shall we add honey to our recipe?

-ALL: Yes!

OK, to do this, we need to use Mr Spoon.

Hello again, Mr Spoon.

And Mrs Spoon! # La-la-la-la-la! #

We better get on with it before she keeps singing.

We need to play the spoon and slide game which means

that we scoop up some honey with Mr Spoon...

A nice big spoonful like that.

..and then we use Mrs Spoon to slide it off our spoon into our bowl.

So, there's one spoon... Oh, good job, Mr and Mrs Spoon.

..and another. Oh, very runny!

-It's all dripping down the bowl!

-Chloe's gone honey-tastic!

-Have we all got honey in our bowl?

-ALL: Yes!

We need to give everything a great big mix, but wait!

Press the fast button on your hand. Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

And we're going to mix really fast!

Ready? Go! Really fast! Super fast!

Extra fast! OK, so keep mixing until it's lovely and light and fluffy.

-SNORING

-Did you hear that?

It's the bicarbonate of soda in the soya milk. He's fallen asleep

so we need to wake it up! Say "Wake up!"

ALL: "Wake up!"

That's better, I can see the bubbles coming back again.

-Mine's awake!

-Mine's awake!

Mine has loads of bubbles so it's definitely awake!

OK, brilliant. So next we need to add a bit of flour and the cocoa.

And a bit of the bicarbonate of soda and the soya milk.

And then mix it all together. Let's use our spoon

to get a bit of flour and a bit of milk.

Splosh! Then take your wooden spoon and mix it in!

It's looking like a chocolate cake.

I can't wait! I love chocolate cake so much.

-And me!

-It's definitely my favourite.

Dylan, you're wiggling while you mix. Let's do some wiggling!

And you can wiggle too if you want. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

It's called the mixy wiggle!

And keep mixing until all of the flour

and all of the cocoa powder has completely disappeared!

Mix, mix!

There we go, all done.

Next, we'll use some fruit in our sticky chocolate cake

and we'll use mandarin segments.

I'm going to put four at the bottom of mine.

One, two...

three, four.

Now, we're going to gloop our mixture into our tin.

Splodge! Splodge, splodge.

Splodge! Fantastic! I love all this splodging.

And as a finishing touch,

let's put the rest of the mandarin segments on top of our cake.

Fantastic. And that's it, you've done it.

You put all the ingredients together for your cake

and you did it all by yourself. Well done!

Now I'm going to put them in the oven.

Remember, ovens are hot so don't go near.
