Siblings Lifebabble

Welcome to Lifebabble.

Today we're talking about siblings.

The best and the worst things about brothers and sisters.

Whether they drive you crazy, you love them to bits,

or you're happy to be on your own,

we'll be checking out siblings with the Lifebabble team.

Some siblings are really alike in the way they look,

their personalities...

Some, on the other hand, are total opposites.

There are older ones, younger ones,

new ones, step-siblings,

half-siblings, twins, triplets,

people who are close to you

who are just like a sibling...

Or maybe it's just you.

Whoever they are, chances are they can be pretty amazing,

or pretty annoying.

My brother annoys me SO incredibly much.

But, he's always got my back.

When you argue, I always get away with it because I'm the youngest.

Whereas the oldest always gets told off.

The worst thing about my sisters? They like to steal my stuff!

I am an only child, but I still

always wanted a brother or sister.

My mum kept persuading me out of it by telling me

that I'd have to share everything.

I kind of get everything I want.

I find my younger brother so annoying,

because he sticks out his tongue

and eats like a monster

at the dinner table.

Sometimes they can actually be really thoughtful.

And they even come to me for advice, which is pretty cool.

My sister helps me out when I'm down.

When I can't talk to my parents about something,

I can speak to her about stuff instead.

I have an older stepsister

who I absolutely love.

We always do loads of stuff together

like watching films and reading.

Not long ago

we have designed our own bedroom.

Having a sibling CAN be brilliant,

but it can also be really hard sometimes.

It's normal to squabble with your brothers and sisters.

But at least by TRYING to get on you can make life better for everyone.

Give each other some space.

That means that the time that you DO spend with each other

will be more enjoyable for both of you.

Keep talking, keep communicating.

It sounds really simple but it'll do

your relationship a world of good.

Sometimes the squabbling turns into something more serious,

and you may find that you're not able to handle that on your own.

If the fighting with your sibling is making you really scared

or upset, it's really important that you talk to someone that you trust.

OK. So we all know that I'm the world's greatest sister.

Erm - I don't think so,

I think you'll find I'M the world's greatest sister.

-Er, I don't think so.

-Er, I DO think so.

-Excuse me!

-What?

OK, so seeing as we're both the world's greatest sisters, here is...

-BOTH:

-Super-sibling!

Make your sibling laugh every day.

Easy to do when you have a razor-sharp wit like mine.

Hilarious(!)

Get them into your favourite music.

Or you might be able to learn something new from them.

Yeah, it's our differences which keep it interesting.

OK - maybe not ACTUAL T-shirts.

But you can be very different people and still be on the same team.

Yeah, and when you work together you can take on just about anything.

And now you know how to be a super-sibling.

You should go reward yourself for being so fantastic.
