Earlier, we were jamming out to Firecracker

and that song's really interesting, so I'm going to talk about chords

because it has some unique chord changes.

When you're faced with a bit of a challenge when it comes to

chords, a really, really great idea is to just slow it down.

# Yeah, I'm a firecracker

When I was first starting to learn to play guitar,

I just practised my chord changes a bunch of times.

So I learned two chords, I went back and forth, back and forth,

until it was just muscle memory

and I knew exactly how it was going to be.

And also, another kind of fun tip is that

you're usually strumming down, right?

So, if you're going to place your fingers,

place the ones that are closest to you first

because then you'll have time to place the other two.

So, for example, with this G chord I was playing,

if I get these two fingers down first,

cos I know I'm strumming down,

I'll be settled before I have to place my other two fingers.
