Hey, guys. Thanks for joining me for another episode

of Lessons In The Lounge.

So, as you know, my friends and I

just did a really, like, rock and roll cover of Midnight Riders,

so I kind of just wanted to explain how we achieved that vibe,

that sort of vibe.

So, first of all, the main point was definitely our vocals,

so we used a technique called shout singing, or talk singing.

So, this is when you kind of...

You really want to project and get that strong, powerful vocal.

So it's OK if you kind of, like, go off key little bit,

because it's more about, like, the power

and, like, the feeling behind the song.

You know who would have some great tips on this?

I think the number one thing is just being spontaneous...

-Yeah!

-..when you have the shout singing,

because it just allows for a lot of freedom.

-It doesn't have to sound like...

-Perfect!

-..like, amazing.

-It's got to be more about having fun.

-Feeling!

-Just messing around.

-Yeah.

-And joking with your friends.

-Yeah.
