What's up, guys? I'm going to give you a little music lesson right now

on this fantastic little instrument called "the box drum".

-So beautiful.

-It's a little percussion thing.

I think my favourite part about it

-is that I can sit on it.

-It's a chair!

It's also a chair. Like, what other instrument do you sit on to play?

Other than, like, other percussion instruments, I guess.

-But this is pretty straightforward, man.

You can totally just get one of these

and just mess around with it and have a lot of fun.

It gives you like a nice, bass drum sound.

This hand up here will give you a different kind of sound,

so you can give it like a...

Another thing I really like about the box drum is you can

also just hit it wherever you want.

Sometimes I just do it to give a little fill.

Like, I'll just hit it wherever.

And it's so much more accessible than a drum kit.

What other drum kit can I just move around like this?

I put it in my car, I could wear it as a knapsack if I want.

I could just walk down the street with it. It's very accessible.

So, it's a great little instrument and you can keep the beat with it.

You guys all know what a tambourine is,

you straight up just shake it.

You can even like shake it and, like,

-tap it on your head.

I got another little fancy thing over here, it's just like a little egg. It's a shaker.

It can add so many different elements to a song.

So, those are three little fancy percussion instruments that,

you know, anyone could learn pretty quick.

You can mess around with it until you're really good at it.
