-Hi, I'm Matilda!
And cooking is what I love best.
She cooks, she scores!
Hi, I'm Matilda!
I'm in charge of the kitchen in this house.
No, no, Tilly!
Get out of my kitchen!
This is the story of me, my crazy summer...
I'm on the red carpet and I'm about to meet the star of the movie.
..and my even crazier family.
Tilly rules, OK?
I need some peace and quiet!
Today, I'm putting together my summer scrapbook
and the big question is...
-What are you up to?
-I am making my digital summer scrapbook.
What was your favourite thing you did this summer?
That is so easy, the canoeing water polo.
Even though I was so bad, I found it so much fun.
-Oh, man down!
-Right from the off, it was totally capsize-tastic.
Oh, man down again!
And Jack definitely flipped his canoe the most.
After practising, it was game on.
-Is everybody ready?
-My team against Jack's.
On your right, on your right, on your right.
I scored a goal!
My late goal won the match and afterwards,
everyone tucked into my ice-cream sandwiches -
the bits that hadn't melted!
-These are delicious.
-They're also very runny!
-Hello, honey, how are you?
Good, thank you. How are you?
Running late as always.
-What are you up to?
-I'm writing my digital scrapbook.
-What was your favourite part of summer?
OK, it has to be pier-to-pier swim.
But you didn't swim!
I didn't swim but I was caught up in the wave - get it - of emotion.
-..see you later.
Jack and I took part
in one of California's most iconic summer events.
The gruelling 2.2 mile pier-to-pier race.
It was totally full-on.
The sea was really rough and freezing cold.
I feel sick with nerves here.
Jack finished before me.
Jack, come on!
Well done, Jack!
Now, where's Tilly?
Look at the size of those waves.
I know, my heart, seriously, is in my mouth.
Come on, Tilly.
As I battled against the scarily strong current...
..I didn't realise how frightened everyone was
that I might not make it.
Come on, let's get her home safe.
She'll be absolutely fine.
Come on, Tilly.
Is that... There?
-Jack, come on.
-There she comes. Straight ahead.
-There she is.
-There she is. Has Jack seen her?
He's got her.
That was scary.
That was so scary.
Finishing was an incredible feeling.
Right, Tills, I'm off to the park to do some training.
Have fun and I'll probably call you later.
-See you in a little bit.
Hi, Megs, what're you doing?
I'm in Oxford. I'm about to go studying.
I just found this selfie of me, you and Mum.
That's so funny, Tills, I remember making those videos.
Yeah, that selfie and the videos are going in my scrapbook.
See you later.
We went totally pop-tastic and even managed to get Mum involved.
I seem to have lost the ability to say no.
I was her co-star and Holly was on camera.
Mum wasn't as excited at being in the video as I was...
..but it didn't take her long to get into the swing of things.
-Even if she isn't a natural pop star.
-Holly, did we get that?
I think so.
Super downloads, here we come.
Right, embarrassing Dad edit.
Loads to choose from.
-Jack, check out my embarrassing Dad edit.
You're going to burn... No, stop.
What are you doing?
Can I have a kiss, please?
Do not go into the fridge.
Go away! When Dad came to parents' evening,
he asked the headmistress for a selfie.
They smell delicious.
Oh, you're so annoying!
Get out of my kitchen!
He can be so embarrassing, can't he?
Yeah, and I'm going to include a clip of when we went go-karting
and I won the Ramsay race.
On your marks, get set...
Dad was so determined to win the Ramsay Grand Prix, he cheated...
-..and whizzed into first place.
The race was so close, anyone could have won.
Go, go, go!
Well, almost anyone.
Come on, Holly! A girl after my own heart.
She's so sensible.
After a hard-fought battle,
I closed in on Dad and pulled off a masterful racing manoeuvre.
Tilly in the lead!
And Tilly the winner!
Hi, Holly. Where are you?
Hey, Till, just at the bus stop on my way home from school.
Why, what are you after?
Why do you always think I'm after something?
Because you're always stealing my clothes.
I would like to find out your summer highlights
to put in my summer scrapbook.
I loved giving Jack a makeover before he went on his sports tour.
We made him look so funny!
Yep, that clip is definitely going in.
OK, Till, the bus is here but stay out of my bedroom!
Once we'd pampered Rumpole and Bruno, we got to work on Jack.
Guys, what are you doing to me?
We gave him the full face and hair beauty treatment,
Ramsay girl style.
Why is it stinging?
Ow! What is that in my head?
He wasn't impressed.
Oh, it's in my pants!
It's time to really annoy Holly.
I'm going to put on one of her favourite jumpers
and send her a selfie.
OK, I'll send that and see how long it takes for Holly to react.
Jumper selfie, on the way.
Tilly! Matilda, I told you not to wear my jumper.
-Don't you dare!
-Someone's at the door, got to go.
Tilly, do not hang up on me!
-Have you got any more highlights from the summer for me?
Playing basketball next to the beach in LA was pretty fun.
Thanks. Going in.
At Venice Beach, we hooked up with some cool LA basketball players
and had a three-on-three competition.
My game got pretty competitive.
-Yes! Come on!
We are the winners!
PHONE RINGS AND HE SIGHS
Tills, come on!
Jacky, what do you think of my putting the Ramsay Games
-in my scrapbook?
-It's definitely going in.
Me and the girls took on Jack and the boys at our very own
Ramsay Bunch Games.
And guess who won!
I'm going to keep this whistle to keep control of the Ramsay Bunch.
Matilda, you'd better not have my jumper on.
When do I ever wear your clothes?
I was only joking.
You wear my clothes like every day.
No, I don't. You wear mine.
-Are they my jeans?
-Are those my shoes?
-No. Is that my skirt?
OK, I'm going to take the puppy on a walk.
Can you tell me more of your summer highlights?
You should definitely include the day we went to the dog hotel.
-That was so fun.
-Got to get the dogs in it.
The gang went to find out how LA VIDs get spoiled crazy.
This is where all the doggies get spruced up.
Incredibly, some dogs got LA makeovers
with dog-safe nail varnish.
When you do a dog massage, you just start rubbing them.
A lot of it's just with the skin.
Our dogs don't get luxuries like this!
But they're definitely happy.
Hi, Mum! Where are you?
I just slipped out of the office at work.
Are you buying yourself a treat coffee and cake?
Maybe a little hot chocolate and a cake, yes.
-But listen, I'll give you a call when I get back.
-Hi, Mum. That was quick.
You know me, I don't hang around.
Anyway, what else floated your boat this summer?
The fishing trip! I actually quite enjoyed it in the end.
We went fishing to Lake Piru,
and Dad had a crazy idea about how to cook fish.
-It's going inside, on the engine.
-What are you...?
-Open the oven door.
We all thought it wouldn't work.
Cooking fish on a car engine?
Gas mark - 5.6 litre engine.
Let's go cook some bass.
It did though, and it was delicious!
I honestly have to say I can't quite believe it.
PHONE RINGS Hey, Meg.
Tilly, I'm doing some work.
-What do you want?
-In a cafe?
Yes, I am in a cafe.
It's quiet so I can concentrate.
OK, Megan. Well, I just wanted to know of some more summer highlights
-I thought the barbecue competition was great,
-even though you didn't win.
-Thanks for reminding me.
It was great taking part though.
I competed in an all-American barbecue competition.
It was really tough and I nearly didn't finish cooking my entry dish
in time to get it judged!
And five seconds.
-You made it. Good luck to you.
I was so close. I had a minute and five seconds to spare.
Hey, Jack. Got any more summer faves for me?
I'll be back at the house soon.
Speak in a sec.
PHONE RINGS OK, Mum's calling me anyway. Bye!
Hey Tills, it's me, Mum.
Guess what? I was just thinking you have to include
-yoga paddle boarding.
We took Mum on a fantastic girls' day out.
This is so cool!
Yoga paddle boarding.
It was incredible fun, but learning to balance was really tricky.
It didn't always go according to plan.
FACETIME CALL BEEPS
This is my last interruption of your precious study time.
No worries, Tills. Do you remember the cake you made for Mum and Dad's
wedding anniversary? Maybe you should include that.
Thanks, Meg. That's definitely going in.
It was Mum and Dad's 20th wedding anniversary this year.
Yep, they're really, really old.
As a surprise, I cooked them the biggest cake I've ever made.
20 layers, one for every year they've been married.
OK, you guys ready?
And surprised them with it.
Oh, my goodness!
Will you lift that all the way up?
Cake and a mariachi party.
It's like a rainbow.
Is Bruno getting tired?
Bruno is hyper as ever. He's very happy to be in the park,
-that's for sure.
-Do you remember the Ramsay Reporters vlog we all did?
You should definitely include it.
Me and the gang put together a vlog about LA life,
covering the kooky...
I think this is definitely one of the weirdest things out in Venice.
This is Holly's fashion forecast and today we're checking out
-the different styles in LA.
-..and the current food fads.
-And I got to interview film stars!
I'd love to ask you what your favourite food is.
When you, like, really need something comforting,
a grilled cheese sandwich really does it.
Tilly Ramsay signing off from the green carpet
here at this movie premiere.
How's the summer scrapbook going?
-Really good, thank you.
-PHONE RINGS Holly.
Hey, Hols. What's happening?
-Are you home?
-Yeah, I just finished my exercising.
Check out this edit Meg and I've been working on.
You should have it now.
-Yeah, it's right here.
Just made my bed!
No, no, Tilly!
Would you please turn the music down?
Not sure that one's going in.
Come on over. It's been so fun remembering everything we did
in summer. Now we've got Christmas to look forward to.
There is something much closer than that to look forward to,
and that is...supper!
OK, let's get cooking.
This summer has been one to remember for Matilda and the Ramsay bunch. Tilly is putting together her digital summer scrapbook so she can look back at the best bits from the family's adventures in California. From the tip-tastic water polo canoe competition, to the super-scary and emotional pier-to-pier race, the fishing trip and Jack's farewell makeover, there are loads of fun and brilliant Ramsay memories to include. Not to mention loads of embarrassing dad moments to choose from. It really was a fab summer and that doesn't even include all the deliciously yummy, scrummy food that Tilly cooked.
